Pretty Postage

Good afternoon!  Hope you had a good Memorial Day weekend, mine is always hard since I lost my Mom on May 30, 1981 but I always enjoy my family being home for the weekend.  Today I have a simple card made using some of the products from the Summer Mini.   I used the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch to make the So Saffron border.  The sentiment is from the stamp set Pretty Postage and is punched out using the Postage stamp punch.  The colors are Poppy parade, Baja Breeze, and So Saffron.  Thanks for stopping by!

Family

Good afternoon!  Today is the last official day of school for the girls, they go back on June 1 to pick up their grade cards.  I am really looking forward to the lazy days of Summer and so are the girls.  I have finally been able to get my pictures organized in my new craft room and have been scrap booking like crazy.  I love how these two pages turned out.  I even did a little MDS on the second page, I did the journaling using Baja Breeze and it matches the paper perfectly.  Thanks for stopping by.

On the Grow

Good evening!  I stay in my craft room late on Tuesdays and Thursdays now so that my working friends can stop by and craft with me so I will be posting late on those days.  Today I have a card using the stamp set On the Grow from the Summer Mini.  I stamped the image on watercolor paper and used ink and a water pen to paint the image.  I don't do watercoloring very often and I should because I really like how it looks.  Thanks for stopping by.

Butterfly Easel

Good afternoon!  I have been seeing these butterfly easel cards around so I thought I would give it a try.  It took a few attempts but I think I finally got the look i was going for.  The butterfly seemed a little small to stand alone so I added it to a card front.  It is a little bumpy but will still fold flat to mail.   Hope you like it!

Christine's Originals

Good afternoon!  I don't have a stamped project today but I do have purses by my friend Christine.  She is unbelievably talented when it comes to handcrafting these purses.   The insides are completely lined and has lots of pockets.  The style Shelby is modeling is called a large Molly and the fabric is called "It's a Hoot".  I have about 40 different purses here in my craft room and I am helping her to sell them.  The price of this one is $60.00 plus shipping if needed.  Just send me an email if you are interested in this one or would like to photos of other styles and colors.  thanks for stopping by.

Sadie's Special Day

Good afternoon!  Busy time here as school winds down with field trips, band concerts, choir performances, and picnics.  Each year  as an end of year treat, I surprise each of the girls by showing up at school and having lunch with them.  They know it will usually be in May but just not what day.  Today was Sadie's day, I waited in the hallway as they came to the lunch room and the grin on her face when she saw me was priceless.  We ate outside at a picnic table near the playground and as soon as her class came out for recess she was off to join in the fun.  My girls  are growing up way too fast for me, I miss the days when I was the most important person in their lives.  Oh well, Dalton still likes to hang out with me.

Today I have a 3x3 card to share, this is one of the Make and Takes from a recent event I had.  I used the Fun Flowers die.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Greetings

Good afternoon!  I have been busy as a bee working on getting everything put it its place in my new craft room and am getting very close to being finished.  I don't how I have accumulated so much stuff, my husband kept telling me I was "outgrowing" the house.  Anyway, here is a graduation card for today.  We have several kids from our church graduating so I made a few of these.  The colors shown are not the true color of the card, I used Concord Crush, Whisper White and Basic Black from the Neutrals Patterned Paper pad.  The sentiment is from Happy Greetings available in the Summer Mini.  Thanks for stopping by!

Leah's Hope

It's finally Friday!  This has been a busy week but I have accomplished a lot.  I am almost settled in  I am re posting this since something went wrong with Blogger and they wiped out 2 whole days of postings.  If you have followed  me very long, you know about my nephew Jamie who has Downs Syndrome and what a blessing he has been to our family.  A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon this blog, Leah's Hope, and read the story of a mother who had recently lost her precious baby girl from some of the complications that go along with Downs Syndrome.  Her story is heart wrenching to say the least but the thing that stands out to me is what she is doing to work through her grief.  She has started a mission to give baskets to the parents of children that are hospitalized for long periods of time filled with things they need to make their burden of being away from home a little easier.  She knows first hand what these needs are.  She takes monetary donations as well as things she has listed on her blog.  I really admire what she is doing and so I gave a small donation.   Last week I got this beautiful thank you card in the mail from her so I thought I would share it with you, you can check out the whole story here.

Here is one more photo of my stamp and punch storage.  I have two of these shelving units, this is 15 feet long and the one is 10 feet long and they have shelves on both sides.  This side has all my clear mount stamps plus all my punches and miscellaneous tools and the other side is full of my wood mount stamp sets.  I use the tops to display current projects.  Thanks for stopping by!

Classroom/Blog Candy Winner

Good morning!  Today I have a photo of my classroom to share.  This is for smaller classes, I also have an area with two large tables for when I have more than six for a class.

This is my office, sorry the photo is so dark but the wood is dark and hard to photograph.

Now on to the winner of the blog candy!  I used Random.org to choose a number and gave the comments a # in the order they were received( I also had email comments) so the final count was 47.   I also only counted one comment per person per day.

Part 1 Revealed

Good Monday morning! I still have a lot to do in order to get everything organized but I thought I would show you what I have done so far. I will be back later today to give away the blog candy.

This is my favorite part of the whole building.  The person we bought the building from was an architect and he had built in drawers for his maps and the minute I saw these I knew they would be perfect for paper storage.  Plus the counter area is my work space and has built in lighting.  There are 30 drawers and each drawer will hold 3 packages of 12x12 paper.

But not only will the paper fit but there is a little rail-like thing where I can store the marker, the ink pad, the re-inker, and the ribbon for each color!  Love it!

Then above the work station are cubicles that reach all the way to the ceiling and my Big Shot dies claim this space.
I couldn't have designed a work space any better than this one, it is perfect!

I added punched flowers to the drawers and organized them in the order that they appear in the catalog.

Check back tomorrow to see more!

Blog Candy

Good morning!  I am so excited about my new craft room and can't wait to show you  but things just haven't gone as smoothly as I anticipated.  For example, there was a hold up with all the necessary paperwork with the bank and then the insurance company and then bad weather interfered with the water being turned on and then it was raining so much that I couldn't actually move my stuff in.  But thankfully I am making a lot of progress and finding a home for everything.  I have tons of storage  space, I have an office, a classroom, and  so many little "spots" to display my creations.  I have not found my camera yet in all the boxes so no pictures yet.  But I do want you to hang in there with me so I am giving away some BLOG CANDY!!!!  I will pick one lucky person to give a $50.00 Stampin' Up gift certificate to.  All you have to do is leave a comment on this post, one per day  if you choose until I do the BIG reveal of my new crafting place  (US only please).  I have turned off word verification temporarily to make it easier to comment.
