MOJO Monday

Good afternoon!  Today I have a card I made for the MOJO Monday challenge.  I need some help sometimes coming up with a layout and this is the perfect place to get it.  For my card I used an image from the Rue Des Fleurs stamp set.The DSP is from the Attic Boutique collection and both these are in the Occasions Mini.  I am not very good at creating the Vintage look but this paper makes it easier.

I sent out my February calendar for my classes today, if you didn't get one please let me know.  When I went in to my email directory to get my class list of people, it wasn't there.  Who knows what I did, but it seems I have  deleted it.   The Technique Class Group 2 will be on Monday Feb. 6 this month(instead of the usual Thursday evening).

Friends with Chocolate

Good Monday morning.  Today I have a card using the stamp set, Eat Chocolate(retired).  I have  had it a long time but hadn't even mounted it until a few days ago.   The DSP is from Berry Blossoms and for the candies I used Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, and Creamy Caramel(retired) card stock cut with the 1 inch circle punch.  Thanks for stopping by.

Sending Love Your Way

Good afternoon!   Today I have a couple cards using the Hostess set Ain't Love Grand.  The photo isn't very good but you can click on it to enlarge.   The layout is the same for both cards but I just moved things around on one and added a brad.  One is paper pieced and the other colored.   I used one of my favorite color combinations, Poppy Parade, Baja Breeze, and Pear Pizazz.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday to You!

Good afternoon!  Today's project is very similar to one of the Make and Takes at a recent SU event, I really like the clean and simple style so I had to make one.  I used Crumb Cake card stock for the base and the DSP layer is from the Sweet Shop collection.  The leaf and the center of the flower are actually card stock that has been stamped on using stamps from the sets Send Me Soaring and Up in the Air.  To find out how to make these, come to my Punch Class tomorrow!

Be My Valentine

Good afternoon!  Today I have a little Valentine tag that I made to attach to a gift for one of Shelby's friends whose birthday is on Valentines Day.  I used one of my favorite stamp sets, Greeting Card Kids.  I used the Two Tags Die and the Labels Framelit Die.  The DSP is retired, Love Letter, I think.  Short post today, we are off to orthodontist then piano lessons and then flute lessons, and then choir practice and  then church.  My Wednesdays can't get much busier, thanks for stopping by!

Trendy Trees

Good Monday morning!  Today I have a masculine birthday card for you.  I don't know why but these are always hard for me.  This card was one of the ones we made for my All Occasion class.  It has a simple design but you do have to use the Stamp-ama-jig to line the tree trunk up. The card stock choices were Pear Pizazz or Old Olive and most of the DSP is retired.  Thanks for stopping by.

Doily Love

Good Saturday morning!  Looking for a simple five minute card, this is it.  I used the Doily die(which I love) and punched out a heart, embossed it, and added a sentiment. That's it, thanks for stopping by.

So Grateful

Good evening!  I am so glad it is Friday, I have had a super busy week.  Today I have a card using the Apothecary art stamp set, I thing every image in this set is pretty and hope to spend a little time next week making up a set of cards using all of them. It is made to be used with the Labels collection Framelit dies. I used Twitterpated DSP and Basic Gray, Riding Hood Red, and Island Indigo card stock.  The Riding Hood Red pleated satin ribbon and Boho flowers finish it off.

For those who ordered them, this round of the Occasions Class by mail are on their way.  Let me know when you receive them and if you have questions.

Blushing Bride Thank You

Good afternoon!  I thought I would take a break and try to get something posted, I have been super busy the past two days. I almost have the the class packets ready to mail out for my All Occasions Class.  A huge thank you to all who ordered it as well as to the ones who are doing it locally.  I still have room for a few more at tonight's class as well as the Saturday class.

One of my New Year's resolutions was to take time to say "thank you" to my customers more often.  Today's project is this month's "thank you".  I have had 16 people order this month so far so I made these little bags up containing 2 yards of Blushing Bride ribbon to stick in their bags.  Thanks for stopping by!

Little Lambs

Good afternoon!  Today I have a couple cute cards I made for two boys who were recently baptized in our church.   I bought this stamp set just for this occasion.  Of course I had to have water on the card to fit the occasion.  The cloud paper is a retired SAB from a couple years ago.  Thanks for stopping by!

Thoughts of You

(inside of card)
Good Monday afternoon!  The girls are out of school for MLK day so I took most of the day off too.  Shelby went ice skating and Sadie and I are just hanging out but I do have a project to show you.  I have a friend who is not "crafty" at all but loves to get things handmade so I send her things occasionally.  She loves to have something she can put on her desk and enjoy for a while so I made this Valentine easel card for her.  I used several of the framelet dies from the Hearts Collection as well as the Fashionable Hearts embosslit die.  The image is from the Take It to Heart and Loving Thoughts stamp sets.   This card is bigger than standard size but will fit in a 5x5 envelope for mailing.

I have had several inquiries about my Ocassions Class so I want to give you a few more details.  I am offering this class by mail.  For those who have indicated they want to use Paypal, I will send you a Paypal invoice five days before the actual class and will mail your packets as soon as I receive your payment.  For those paying by check you need to send payment a week before the actual class(dates to be sent to you by email).  The cost of the class will be $14.00 locally or $16.00 mailed and will consits of 2 each of 3 different cards.  The first class will be adult birthday and over the next five months we will make Thank You, Get Well, Bereavement, Children's Birthday/Baby, and Congratulations/Wedding cards. If you purchase all 6 classes you will receive a Card Keeper Box valued at $8.95.  You will get instructions and photos of the cards with your kit.  I know I have probably left something out, so if you have questions send me an email at dls8383@gmail.com.  Thanks for stopping by.

Valentine Rosette

Good afternoon!  Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  I have had a play day today and hopefully another one for tomorrow.  A fellow demonstrator, my friend Bobbie came by today and we worked on "all things cupcake".  The school she works at is having a program and the theme centers around cupcakes so we tried to get creative using cupcakes.  I really enjoyed our time together, thanks Bobbie.  Today I have a HUGE rosette to show you, it is 8 inches is diameter.  I used the Designer Rosette die from the Occasions Mini which makes it a fast and easy project.  It only took me 15 minutes from start to finish and I love how it turned out.  The die will actually cut up to 10 inches but since I had to cut 3 sections from one sheet of 12x12, I made mine 8 inches.  Thanks for stopping by!

Card Keeper

Good morning!  Before I tell you about my project for today, I have to tell you why I lost sleep last night.  I starting reading a book, Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers, and could not put it down.  I did fall asleep once about 2:00 and then woke back up at 3:30 and started reading again.  If you haven't read this book, you should...it is a Christian love story like no other I have read.  On to my project for today, I am offering a monthly All Occasion class over the next six months and everyone who attends all six will get to make this box(you can decorate to suit your taste)  for FREE at the last class.  We will make cards for six different occasions and you should have full box by the end. If it looks familiar, it is similar to a note book from the Sale a bration catalog.  I used SAB DSP, ribbon, and brads as well as Pear Pizazz gathered ribbon, chip board, and a butterfly die to make it.  Thanks for stopping by!

Valentine Kit

Good morning!  I haven't offered kits in a while but have had a few request to do it again so I made one up yesterday.  The way these work is...you will receive all the ingredients (papers prepped ready to make the cards, ribbons, brads, boxes, ect) needed to make the project except for the stamped image.  You should be able to substitute any Valentine stamps you already have for the images I used if you don't already have the P.S. I Love You stamp set.  These are 3x3 cards and you will get photos of the completed cards,  five cards, the box, and the envelopes as well.  The price is $7.00 locally or $9.00 shipped.  If you have questions, you can email me at dls8383@gmail.com.  Thanks for stopping by!

Elizabeth Birthday

Good afternoon!  I finally finished this birthday card which I started a week ago.  I used my favorite DSP right now, Everyday Enchantment which can be yours for FREE starting Jan. 24 from SAB. I also used an Edgelet die and Adorning Accents Embossing Folder to create the decorative cut.  For the circle piece I used the Elizabeth A la carte stamp and the sentiment is from Create a Cupcake.  Thanks for stopping by!

Love Banner

Good afternoon, hope your weekend was fabulous!  I am in Valentine mode, love this holiday almost as much as Christmas.  Today I have a banner made using the Petal Cone die.  The colors are Blushing Bride and Real Red.  I made rosettes using some Flirtatious DSP and cut out hearts to go between the petals with the Heart to Heart embosslit.  It is strung on Blushing Bride ribbon.  It was a little time consuming to make but so worth it.  Thanks for stopping by!

Rue Des Fleurs

Good afternoon!  hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Sadie had a basketball game this morning and I always enjoy watching her...she smiles the whole time she is playing and every time she scores she turns around to make sure I am watching and gives me the "thumbs up".  Today I have a card using the Rue Des Fleurs stamp set from the Occasions Mini.  It has several different ephemera images which are very trendy right now.  I love how Stampin' Up keeps up with the trends and gives us what we need to keep our cards fresh and fun.  I also used a framelet die from the Labels Collection to stamp the image on.  The DSP is from the Twitterpated Collection and the ribbon is Riding Hood Red Pleated Satin.  Thanks for stopping by.

Doily Birthday

Good morning!  Have you seen the Doily die from the Occasions Mini?  I had heard from some other demonstrators that they didn't like it so I was hesitant to buy it at first so I borrowed one from my friend Paula.  I love it!  I have ordered my own and it will be here Monday so you will be seeing a lot more of it. I tried it with  card stock and with DP and both results are beautiful. I kept this design simple with just a bit of DSP from the Twitterpatted collection.

Feb 14

Good morning!  Today I have another Valentine, I am having fun with the new dies from the Occasions Mini.  The one I used for this card is called Fashonable Hearts and is an embosslit die which means it cuts and embosses.  It has five different hearts of various sizes and patterns.  I used the stamp set P.S. I Love you for the sentiment.  Thanks for stopping by!

Up, Up, and Away

Good morning!  Today has seemed like Monday since the girls went back to school today.  I sure enjoyed being home with them the past two weeks but I think they were getting bored and ready to see their friends.  I needed a quick birthday card last week and this is what I came up with.  I used the Up, Up, and Away stamp set and Big Top Birthday DSP.  Thanks for stopping by!

Love you

Good afternoon!  Is it too early to start posting Valentines?  I have been making a few because I got to preorder from the Occasions Mini and wanted to try out my new stamps.  I love the new Embossing Folders, they are strips rather than a full card front which makes it easy to emboss on just part of the card front.  I also used the Edgelet Die to cut the scalloped edge on the bottom.  The heart was cut with the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit die and the sentiment is from the stamp set P.S. I Love You.  This was a very quick and easy card to put together.

Sadie was organizing her room this morning and I took a few photos of her with her new American Girl doll that she got for Christmas.  I usually get her one for her birthday and one for Christmas but she has all the Historical dolls  so she only gets the Girl of the Year now.  This years doll is named Kanani and is from Hawaii.  This one is her favorite for right now but I bet her Bitty Twins will be back off the shelf soon.

SAB will be here soon!

Good evening!  Today I have a card using the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set from the SAB(Sale-a-bration) catalog.  This set along with the Everyday Enchantment DSP and the ribbon and brads to match are my  favorites right now. And the best part is that you can get all three of these for FREE starting Jan 24.  For every $50.00 in SU you order, you get to choose an item for free from the SAB catalog.   Thanks for stopping by!
