Simple Christmas

Good morning!  I have more Halloween and Fall to show you but haven't got my photos loaded.  This is one of the cards I did for my last class.  It is very CAS and would be a good if you wanted to make a lot of the same card to send out.  The stamp is from Christmas blessings and the card stock colors are Bubblegum Green and Very Vanilla.  I embossed with the Elegant Bouquet Folder.  Thanks for stopping by!

Eat, Drink, & be Scary

Good morning!  My favorite part of Halloween is making little treats so I have been working on a few.  For this one I used the Label Framelit die and cut it in card stock for the back part and then cut it in DSP for the pocket and to cover the card stock. I cut a smaller Label for the stamped image and used an older but favorite stamp set called Booglie Eyes.  I usually have over 400 Trick or Treaters and I try to make a little something to hand out but it is something much simpler than these.  These will probably be for the girls to give to classmates or for my four year olds at Sunday  School.

Creepy Crawly

Good morning!  Today's project was made for my son Chad.  Chad has always been fascinated with bugs, any kind of bugs.  When he was little, I always checked his pockets before doing his laundry and would almost always find a few insects and the occasional earth worm.  He will be 32 soon and I found a jar in his room after he had been to visit recently that contained the remnants of a spider and when I asked him about it he said, "Oh yeah, that was a black widow".   I know he will love this creepy crawly card!  thanks for stopping by.

Boo!

Good morning!  Hope your day is going as great as mine is, I feel good today and I haven't been able to say that in over a week.  I had something in mind using the Cannery Framelit dies but wasn't sure how it was going to work.  I wanted to add something to my jar and then cut a clear layer to go over top so that it looked like it was actually in the jar. I tried the thick window sheets and although I had to run it through a couple times it did cut.  Next was the question of how to attach it without it showing...I used glue dots around the rim and then tied the two layers together(paper and window sheet) with Linen thread covering the glue dots.  The lollipops were made with the Owl Punch and the retired Bat Punch.  The sticks for the lollipops were cut with the Petite Purse die.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Dirtday

Good Monday morning! Today I have a birthday card for a little boy, Dalton got his first invitation to a birthday party so  I had to make a card for him to take.  I used the I Dig You stamp set and the DSP is actually Howlstooth and Scaringbone which shows the versatility of this pretty collection of papers.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Halloween

Good Sunday afternoon!  Seems like forever since I posted but so many "other" things have gotten in the way.   Once school starts back I get in the mood for Fall so I pulled out a few Halloween stamp sets out and maybe I will be able to show you a few more projects this week.  This little girl is from a retired set but she is one of my favorites.  I did use an image from the Mixed Media set which is current,  the spider web image.  The DSP is from the Howlstooth  & Scaringbone collection.  Thanks for stopping by!

Owl Treat Bag

Good evening!  I am posting really late today, I haven't felt very well today but finally started feeling a little better.  I have a very cute project today designed by my friend Elaine L.  I love it and will be making more of these for sure.  My friend Marsha J. makes the best white chocolate popcorn and we decided that would be the perfect thing to put in the bag.  We used the Top Note for the body and various sizes of circles for the eyes.  The nose was hand cut.  Thanks for stopping by!

Chocolate!

Good afternoon!  Today's project was made by my friend Paula who is also a SU demonstrator.  This little treat holder is so cute and is easy to make.  It takes an 8x8 piece of paper, a few scores, a few folds and it is done.  It is big enough to hold a 3x3 card or a gift card.  I will be making more of these for sure, thanks Paula.

Noel

Good morning!  Today I have a 3x3 card that was designed by Marilyn McCree.  Marilyn is a SU demonstrator and she came to my get together last weekend.  I love how she used one of the Delicate Design embossing folders and then die cut it with on of the  the Apothecary Accents Framelit dies.  The Gumball Green panel is embossed with the Chevron folder.  Thanks for stopping by!

Back to School!

Good morning!  My girls are back to school today and I think they were as excited as I was, they miss seeing all their friends.  My girls love giving gifts to their teachers so I think this will be a good gift for Sadie to take to her teacher.  I made the crayon wreath first and had some left over crayons so I glued them onto a Fancy Favor box, added a chalkboard paper to the front and some reinforcement to the bottom.  This could be used as a pencil box.  Thanks for stopping by!

Shake Your Booty

Good evening!  Wow what a busy day this has been, I had a punch class this morning, went home and picked up the girls and shopped for the rest of their school supplies, took Dalton and Sadie and got hair cuts, went home and cooked dinner, and then came back for a second punch class.  Now I have to get the girls ready for the first day of school tomorrow.  I am tired!  I do have a card for you, it was designed by my friend Debbie Martin.  She used the Bootiful Occasions stamp set and the Spider Web embossing folder.  The boot is stamped on watercolor paper and colored with SU markers.  Love it!

Warm Winter Wishes

Good afternoon!  Today I have a Christmas card to share using the stamp set Winter Memories.  I used the Holiday Frame and the Snowflake embossing folders.  The red framelit in the middle is from the Window Frames Collection.  Gotta run, I am getting my punch class together for tomorrow. Peace on Earth

Good morning!  Today I have a card made by my very talented friend,  Elaine.  I absolutely love this card!  I bought this die when it first came out but haven't even opened it yet but I will definitely be using it soon.  I had not even thought to make it this size(fits in a business size envelope).  Thanks for stopping by!

Laughter is the Best Medicine!

Good Monday morning!  I had a get together for a few of my best friends who just happen to be SU demonstrators as well on Saturday.  I haven't laughed so much in a long time...so much, that my sides are sore.  It was a blast, we did swaps, shoebox cards, and of course lots of food.  I made one of these Cupcake in a Jar for each of them and just  had to put a tag on it with nothing less than a cupcake in a jar.  I love the Framelit dies and the Cannery Set is my favorite.  There is a stamp set, Perfectly Preserved, to go along with the dies but I didn't use it for this project.  Thanks for stopping by!

More Keepsake Ornaments

Good evening!  I have been crazy mad busy the past two days, there is so much involved in getting the girls ready to go back to school plus we had to take a little day pleasure trip yesterday.  We never turn down the opportunity to go to a waterpark.  We registered Sadie today and Shelby got her stitches removed from a mole she had taken off a couple weeks ago.  Tomorrow is their check ups plus Shelby's sport physical.  I did manage to get one card completed today and I really like how it turned out.  It has a ton of embossed layers and will probably cost double postage to mail.  Click on the photo to  enlarge so you can see all the detail.   Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Party

Good afternoon!  Today I have photos of the birthday party girls and their little purses they made.  I was impressed at how quick they caught on and what a good job they did.  They also made a little lip gloss holder but my photo turned out blurry.  Thanks for stopping by!

Upcoming SAS

Good Saturday morning to you, hope you have an exciting weekend planned.  After my super busy week, I plan to rest and get caught up on laundry.  I had a fun evening yesterday with 9 little girls.  A friend has a little girl who loves to come hang out and stamp with me, in fact she wants to work for me for free and she decided she wanted to have her birthday party at my place.  The girls loved it, they made 2 projects(I will show them to you next week),  Her mom loved it too, she said it was the calmest birthday party they had ever had.

On to my card, this is one of the cards we will make at a SAS later this month.  Since we are making 15 cards, I decided to go with simpler designs.

You Are Simply Wonderful

Good afternoon!  Today I have a clean and simple card for you. My inspiration was from a card I saw on Pinterest but I didn't pin it so I can't give a link to it.    The seeds are from the 3 step blossom punch which is retired and the watermelon is made using a scallop circle and circle and then cut in half.  But that's not all....lean in closer to the screen...do you smell it....the top melon is embossed with Melon Scented embossing powder!  Thanks for stopping by!

It is what it is

Good afternoon!  Do you ever make a card and just can't seem to get it the way you want it?  This  is one of those, I finally gave up and said it is what it is.  Hope you like it more than I do, anyway thanks for stopping by.

Serene Silhouettes

Good afternoon!  Today is the day...you can order from the Holiday Mini catalog today and to celebrate this event I am offering FREE SHIPPING on all orders over $50.00.  You will have to contact me for ordering instead of doing it on line to take advantage of this offer.  Today's project is a card made using the Serene Silhouettes stamp set along with a few retired products.  I love Poppy Parade so I ordered a few packs before it retired, evidently Sara Douglas(Shelli Gardener's daughter)loves it too since she mentioned it at the SU Convention while doing a presentation!  Now, I know you will ask, how did I get those colors to show up on black...well...I embossed it in white first and then colored it.  Love how it turned out.  Thanks for stopping by!
