I Can't Thank You Enough

Good morning!  Today I have another Chalk Talk project.  I made the M&M tubes and gave them to all the attendees at my Chalk Talk class.  I had a few left so I plan on giving them to some people who have served in the military, they are the ones we can never thank enough.  Thanks for stopping by!

For You

Good Saturday morning!  We made this little treat in my recent Chalk talk class.  The treat is Twizzlers in red, white, and blue and the blue is a perfect match with Pacific Point.  I get excited when I find candy to match SU colors!  Thanks for stopping by!

Individual Markers

Good afternoon!  Have you bought the markers in the new colors yet?  If not, now is the time to take advantage of a special offer.  From now until October 31 you can update your markers by just ordering the ones you don't have or you can buy the complete kit.  I am going to get  duplicates of the ones I use the most since I tend to wear them out and this way I won't have to buy the whole set to get one color.

Uncle Sam' s Hat

Good morning!  Today I have a July 4th favor made from a toilet paper roll.  I saw this on Pinterest with a download for the paper but remembered I had a small piece of DSP from Stampin' Up that would work.  I left the top open so that a treat could be put in it. thanks for stopping by!

Happy July 4th

Good morning!  Today's project is another July 4th picnic idea.  I covered the top of the lid with some red DSP but couldn't get a good photo of it.  I used my Crop-a-dile to punch a hole in the top for the straw to go through.  I think Dalton will like this since he is always afraid a bug is in his drink.  He must of experienced it because he always asks, "Does it have a bug in it?" before he accepts a drink.

Red, White, and Blue

Good afternoon!  I have been making a few July 4th table favors.  We usually have a family picnic for July 4th and Sadie and Shelby enjoy decorating the picnic table.  They loved this when they saw it, of course they wanted to know if I had any extra sparklers so they could get an early start on celebrating.  The stamp set, July Fourth, is a retired set as well as the ribbon and the star punch.  I hang on to most of my retired items since I have a lot of storage area.  Thanks for stopping by!

I remebered and thought...

Good afternoon!  Do you always get your birthday cards sent on time....not me.  I have good intentions but it never happens.  We made this belated birthday card yesterday in my free customer appreciation class.  The sentiment is from the stamp set Remembering Your Birthday which  would be a great set to add to your collection.  I have appreciated my local customers and now it is time to appreciate my long distance customers and those who couldn't attend the class....from today through Friday I am offering FREE shipping on all orders!  You can order online and I will reimburse you the cost of shipping.

Happy Birthday Cupcake

Good Monday morning!  Today I am having a free customer appreciation class and this is one of the cards we will be making.  I used the Deco Labels framelit die, Birthday Basics DSP, and sketched Birthday stamp set with a CAS design.  Thanks for stopping by!

Kind and Cozy

Good afternoon!  Today's project is a card made with the Kind and cozy stamp set, one of my favorites from the new catalog.  I made three cards yesterday with this set.  I used Gingham Garden DSP along with Gingham Garden Washi Tape. Thanks for stopping by!

You!

Good afternoon!  When the new catalog comes out, the first thing I do is make a list of the projects I want to CASE and then order those stamp sets and get to work.  Stampin' Up has concept artists that are very talented and their art work is always wonderful.  I am a little late in doing my CASE cards but here is the first one.  The stamp set is Remembering Your Birthday and is on page 16 of the catalog.  I did change it up a bit so that  I could use up a few scraps from other projects.  I really like how it turned out and will probably use it as a class project.  Thanks for stopping by!

Owl Birthday Party

Good afternoon!  What a day this has been....I came to the office this morning and discovered that overnight someone had written terrible language graffiti all over our building and parking lot.  So, after calling the police and filing a report, I had the task of cleaning it up.  Luckily it was done with chalk rather than spray paint which made the task easier.

I got one birthday party finished today and started my second one for this week.  I had taken this sample to my last event and someone saw it and ordered the invitations and favors but in a different color.

here is a close up of the favor boxes made from Box # 2.

I always add a banner to my parties for free.

The decorated water bottles...

The birthday card which is the same as the invitations only I did 20 of the them.

and last is the gift tag.

Chalk Talk

Good morning!  My husband has been working out of town a lot lately and I really miss all his help with the kids. My stamping time is drastically cut whenever he is away but I did manage to get a few things done yesterday.  I am loving the Chalk Talk stamp set and framelit dies.  For this card I used Smoky Slate with Summer Starfruit.  The banner piece is part of the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy BIG Day

Good afternoon!  Today's card was made using Chalk Talk stamp set and matching framelit dies.  The DSP is from the birthday Basics collection.  The card stock colors are Very Vanilla and Crisp Cantaloupe. I used the Candy Dots which can be used to build a brad as well as straight onto the paper since they are adhesive backed.  Thanks for stopping by!

Modern Medley

Good afternoon!  I got my first order from the new catalog!  I wanted to use my Hexagon punch but the Six Sided Sampler stamp set was back ordered so I cut them from the Modern Medley DSP.  The sentiment is from Chalk Talk.  Thanks for stopping by!

Secret Garden Birthday

Good morning!  Today's card was made with a lot of left over pieces from other cards and classes.  I always cut a few extra pieces when I plan for a class in case they are needed and I have a huge collection now.  So, my task this week is to use them up.  The little banner was cut with one of the punches from the Little Labels Pack and then folded in half.  It is hard to tell in the photo but it is the same shape as one of the dies in Hearts a Flutter.  The flowers are stamped on DSP from the Epic Day collection.  Thanks for stopping by!

WOW, You're the Best

Good evening!  Today's card is the last from my technique class last week.  The technique was folding chevrons.  I cut the strips at 3/4 x 2 inches and folded each end in opposite directions and then formed them into chevrons.  Thanks for stopping by!

Oh, Hello

Good morning!  Look  what my husband found for me, I love it!  It is very old but I am not sure how old, I have do a little research to find out.  So, of course I had to make a card to go with it....

I had bought these telephone brads for  a scrapbook page about my Aunt Martha but hadn't used them all.  Thanks for stopping by!

Trendy Arrows

Good morning!  This is another card from my "Trendy Techniques" class.  I don't know if you have noticed but arrows are very "in" right now and as always SU is on top of the trend.  The DSP is from Sent with Love and the arrow is from the Designer Typeset Photopolymner stamp set.  The sentiment is from Really Good Greetings which you can now order from the new catalog.  Thanks for stopping by!

ps...I try to make my posts short and sweet because I know you don't have time to read a book but if you want more info you can always shoot me an email.

Birthday Wishes

Good afternoon!  Today I have a birthday card to share.  I like to do "trendy" techniques in my Technique Classes occasionally and big paper bows are very trendy right now.  I found several templates but decided to use an idea I saw here.  This bow is made with two Wide Ovals, this punch is retired from SU but I am sure a lot of you still have it.  I used the 1 inch square folded in half as something to glue the two ovals to and then wrapped some ribbon around it.  The side parts were cut with the Bitty Banners die.  thanks for stopping by!

John Deere Green

Good morning!  I have a cute story to tell you about the title of my post today.  I had a customer send me an order by email and she ordered some card stock, she can never remember the names of the colors so she gives everything a new name.  I usually have to call her up and go over her list to make sure I am ordering the right ones but this time I knew she meant Gumball Green when she ordered John Deere Green.  I love it, thanks Glenda, you always make me smile!  So...I had to make a card with "john deere green" and what better image than a tractor.  Here in Southern Illinois, farming is big and you can drive in the country for miles and see nothing but corn and lots of tractors.  Thanks for stopping by!

Dad

Good afternoon!  I just got back from a vendor event which is always fun.  Sometimes they are not well attended and you feel like you have wasted time and this one started out slow.  But by the end of it I had sold 42 cards, got a workshop scheduled, got an order from SU, and booked a wedding shower....so not bad for 4 hours.  Today I have a Father's Day card to share.  the DSP is retired, the sentiment is from Family Reunion and the die cut pieces are with the Window Frames collection.  The brads are some I had in my stash.  Thanks for stopping by!
