Hip Hip Hooray!

I have been seeing a lot of cute shaker cards so thought I would do one.  I love how it turned out and the Shaker Frames(pg. 205 of AC) make it an easy project to do.  The only thing is that you are limited to certain sizes and I wanted mine a bit bigger than the largest 1 3/4 inch.  So, I cut two of the largest circles apart and put them together to form this bigger circle.  Thanks for stopping by!

Joyful Christmas

Happy Monday, hope your weekend was good!  I made my first Christmas card of the year, getting motivated for Christmas in July.  This stamp set, Joyful Season, is still available(along with some others) for purchase although it isn't in any catalog right now.  You can check out those sets by clicking on this link.  I stamped the poinsettia twice  onto vellum card stock and heat embossed it with Silver Embossing powder and then cut it out.  The berries in the middle of Frosted Finishes embellishment were colored with the Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities marker.

Blended Bloom

Today I have another Blendabilitites project, I love coloring this gorgeous flower.

I have to tell you what my Littles have been up to, it is always a zoo at my house but yesterday was the craziest ever.  It started out with a water line break outside which meant the water had to be turned off most of the day while it was repaired.  Of course Ava and Dalton wanted to be in the middle of the action but I banished them to the back yard to play.  It wasn't long before Ava come running in crying hysterically saying I am going to die like Snow White.  They had found some apples that had fallen off one of our trees and Ava had taken a bite of one.  Dalton told her that it was a poison apple and of course that set the fairytale wheels turning.  I finally settled her down and sent her back outside only to look out the window a little later to find her stretched out on the picnic table with most of my blooming flowers around her.  I could hardly keep a straight face as I scolded them for picking all my flowers.  Never a dull moment!

Best Kid Ever

This has been the busiest Summer I can ever remember, we got back yesterday from a camping trip to Lake Rudolph and Holiday World theme park.  I do not like camping but it wasn't too bad since we rented an RV and only stayed three days.  The kids had a blast, I have some photos at the end of this post.  I really like my card for today and so does Dalton.  I made it for him and made him a little hamburger box with Lego's in it.  I used all the Blendabilities that were on the Pre-order list to color it.    The DSP isn't SU but it is perfect for the card.

Here is the Hamburger box with Lego's.  The thing Dalton missed most on the trip was TV but the Lego's helped him forget about it.  I will show you Ava's camping gift when I remake it, she immediately tore it apart before I could get a photo.

Shelby, Dalton, Ava, and Shelby's friend Micalyn.

Ava having a smore.

Dalton loved this, it was three stories tall and was filled with lots of places to play in the water.

Sadie and Ava loved this water slide at the campground, it was right beside our RV so they all played on it until closing time every night.  The last night there, they had a Glow parade which was a blast.  We decorated our golf cart with glow sticks and lights and rode all over the camp ground.  The kids had glow glasses, necklaces, bracelets, beads, and  t-shirts, they loved it.  Thanks for stopping by!

July Paper Pumpkin

If you haven't given Paper Pumpkin a try, you are really missing out.  The kits just keep getting better.  This month the stamp set(nine photopolymer stamps!) is one I will be using often, it is very versatile.  It has enough supplies to make 6 cards with envelopes and 6 little gift boxes with tags plus a lot of extra star stickers and even some satin ribbon and Baker's Twine.  The card above is the one suggested and  comes with the directions but for the one one below I changed it up a little.

By just adding a scrap piece of paper, die cutting the sentiment, and adding a couple Candy Dots I got a stepped up version.

The box is easy, just pop it together and embellish.   Thanks for stopping by!

Blossom Party

This is the third card for our In color class featuring Tangelo Twist.  The flower is made with a retired die, Blossom Party, but really any flower would work.  I think my favorite color  In Color combination is Tangelo Twist and Blackberry Bliss.  Thanks for stopping by!

Pictogram Punches

This is the second card for our In Color class this month featuring Tangelo Twist.  I really like the stamp set Pictogram Punches and hope to get some more projects done using it soon.  This time I paired Tangelo Twist with Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo.  If you haven't RSVP'd for this class, there is still time, I will be back in town just in time for the class so send me an email if you want to come.  Thanks for stopping by!
