Sweet Taffy

Hope you had a wonderful weekend, ours was spent doing nothing but relaxing and resting which is what I needed.  It has been a while since SU has given us any DSP with Tempting Turquiose which used to be one of my favorite colors.  I love the Sweet Taffy DSP with its trendy designs and colors.  Thanks for stopping by!

Blendabilities

I have been practicing with the Blendabilities, I love these retired sets and will probably never get tired of using them.  I made this set of cards as a gift for a friend and now I am working on a set for myself.

I didn't do any shading, just colored them in.  I used DSP from various collections.  Thanks for stopping by!

Summer

Here is what we took to the residents of the retirement facility yesterday, we wanted to make something to leave in their dining room so they could all enjoy it. The kids also made each resident a pinwheel to have in their apartment.  I saw this project on Pinterest but couldn't find a red watering can so I came up with this banner but still wanted to add the pinwheels from Paper Pumpkin.  They loved it, as we were leaving one of the ladies came up to me and hugged me and she had put her pinwheel in her hair.  I love that my kids are learning to think of others especially the elderly, our church does an awesome job of involving kids in Mission work.

A close up view of the pinwheels, this has been my favorite kit from Paper Pumpkin so far, thanks for stopping by!

Feel Better Soon

I have had a very rewarding day working with the children from church at Missions Camp.  We made patriotic pinwheels to take to all the residents of  a retirement facility.  They sang some songs and visited with the sweet residents and the smiles on everyone's face was beautiful.  I will show you photos of their projects tomorrow.  This card is the last one from our Mossy Meadow class, thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Friend

What a month June has been, I didn't think my life could get more chaotic but it has.  I love it that my time is busy with my kids, nothing is better than to go into their rooms at night and kiss them while they are asleep.  My crafting time is very short but I am ok with that.  I did sneak away for a couple hours yesterday to stamp.  I made this card for our In Color class series, each month we will highlight one color, this month it is Mossy Meadow.  Of course since all the In colors coordinate, they will be mixed in each month as well.  The products used are listed below, thanks for stopping by!

My Dalton is Five!

I can't believe my baby boy is five years old, he is growing up way to fast for me.  He is a little sad in  this picture.  We had his birthday party on Saturday at a Gymnastics facility and the kids got to play for an hour and then had to go to the party room to open gifts and have cake.  He just wasn't through playing at this point but he soon cheered up when it got time to open gifts.

I couldn't get any clear pictures, he nor Ava would slow down long enough, most of them are a blur as they sped past me.  That is Ava behind him.

The party all set up and ready.

A close up of his cake.  He loved it.  I was surprised at how easy this cake is to make.  Just bake your cake according to box directions, cool, add icing, and press Kit Kat candies around the base.  I added M&M's to the top.

And finally a much happier little boy opening gifts, he got a lot of Ninja Turtle toys which made him very happy!

Pinwheel Party

This month's Paper Pumpkin is my favorite so far, of course it may have something to do with the fact that I love anything Red, White, and Blue.  The kit comes with everything you need to make these cute pinwheels(except I added the ribbon).  You get enough supplies to make 24!

I had made the little hamburger box yesterday before the mail came with the Pumpkin kit so of course I had to make them immediately.  Thanks for stopping by!
