Timeless Elegance Wedding

With all the June weddings, my stash of wedding cards was completely diminished.  So I made a few simple cards yesterday.  I used the gorgeous Timeless Elegance DSP along with a little piece of ribbon from a retired kit.  Thanks for stopping by!

Gift Bag Punch Board

With the new annual catalog came a new punch board, one that makes gift bags.  I have to say it was a bit of a learning curve for me, but I love the out come.  I would suggest watching a  how to video before you start.  I like that you can make three different sizes of bags and that you can leave it open at the top or closed like this one.  Thanks for stopping by!

Baker's Box Birthday

I made this little treat box with the Baker's Box Thinlet die.  I love how they include all the extra little dies with the set such as these balloons. The DSP is from the Cherry on Top paper pad, love these colors together.  Thanks for stopping by!

Cutie Pie

Cutie Pie is the perfect name for this little cake(pie) slice box made with the Cutie Pie Thinlit die.  I am sure this one will get used a lot.  The tag was stamped with the coordinating Sweet Stack stamp set.  Thanks for stopping by!

Vacation Pictures

We made it home from vacation last night.  It was a wonderful three weeks but I am so worn out, it will probably take a few days for me to get back into the swing of things.  So, in the meantime I have a few more pictures of the kids to share.

Of course, Dalton has to make a silly face!

Disney world was awesome and the  little kids wanted to live there!

Swimming was a big part of every day.

My Sadie is growing up much too fast, she is now as tall as Shelby and she is only 11.

My favorite picture from the trip, Ava was a little afraid to step into the waves but Dalton assured her he would take care of her.

My precious "littles", hopefully next time the "bigs" can go as well.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Dalton

Today is my baby boy Dalton's birthday, can't believe he is 6 years old already.  since we would be at the beach for his birthday, I made him a nautical themed birthday card.

I couldn't find a photo of him younger than two at the beach, I know I have some since he was only 6 weeks old the first time we took him.

Here is a picture of him yesterday jumping in the pool.  He is very close to swimming but I am making him wear floaties still since I don't want to have to stay in the water all the time.  I love this boy so much and he loves me back.  I love my girls just as much but the relationship with him is different, I don't know what it is but it is special.

Summer Fun

Yesterday was a beach /pool day and it was probably the best day yet. The kids have got to experience so many new things over the past three weeks and their expectations are high.  When I said we were were going to rest for a couple days and then go at it again, they were a little disappointed at first.  So, we packed up some beach toys, snacks, and lots of sun screen and walked down to the beach.  I noticed there were a lot of crab holes around and after we got settled in, this little guy showed up.  He was very friendly and even playful with the kids.  He would come out and sit and stare at us for a while and then scurry back inside his hole only to reappear a few minutes later.  He did this for over an hour and kept us all entertained.

Happy Umpteenth Birthday

Another card for $5.00 Friday classes.  Thanks for stopping by!

Today's fun....today will be a beach day.  Shelby and I were out on the beach at 5:30 this morning to watch yet another beautiful sunrise.  There were  sand dollars everywhere, we picked up a small sand bucket full in a matter of minutes.  Yesterday we went to Universal Studios and I think this old woman overdid it a bit, my knee is very swollen and painful today.  This has to be the best vacation we have ever had!

Thank You

Today I have a card for my $5.00 Friday girls to make when I get back from vacation.  I now have 24 kits available for them to choose from.  Thanks for stopping by!

Starfish

This is today's haul from our early morning beach walk.  Sadie found the starfish and the littles have been intrgued by it all morning.  We also got to see a sea turtle covering her eggs in the sand, we couldn't get close enough to take a picture because she was in a protected part of the beach.  We are having a blast and we still have another whole week left to enjoy the fun.

Thank You

I am loving this trend of using big sentiments as the focal image on a card.  This one is from the stamp set, A Whole Lot of Lovely.  I am writing these posts before I go on vacation and scheduling them but if you have questions I will be checking my email each day.  My email address is dls8383@gmail.com.

Today's fun....
We spent yesterday at the beach and pool.  The kids play hard at whatever we are doing and were ready for bed by 7:00 and were asleep in less than 5 minutes.  For the littles, it usually takes 2-3 times up for a drink of water or to go to the bathroom, or to hunt for their bedtime snuggly, but last night they were asleep before I finished one bedtime story.  Today's fun spot will be Sea World!

Sea World never dissappoints...the kids loved it.

Bag in a Box

A bag in a box is popular again so I made a few with  the leftovers from the retired Band Stand Simply Scrappin' kit.  most of the ones i have seen have a handle but I chose to leave it off since I am filling it with 3 1/2 x 4 inch cards and matching envelopes.

I made two of each of these cards with these envelopes made with the Envelope Punch board.

This is the other bag which has the same cards as above in it.

Thanks for stopping by!

Todays adventure....

We went to the Marine Center which serves as a hospital for sea turtles that are injured by boats in the ocean.  They are nursed back to health and released back to the water.  They had a bunch of huge aquariums set up with all kinds of sea creatures.  Dalton's favorite was the huge eels and Ava liked the baby sharks.  They also had a touch tank which had sting rays and baby sharks and that was the favorite of the big girls.  In the photo Dalton and Ava are in the laboratory looking at skeletons of small fish and sea creatures.  I love it when fun is educational as well!

Hello

I have a shaker card for you today.  I used the new Envelope Paper to make the bag which was cut out with the Treat Bag Die.  The star is part of the You're so Sweet stamp set.  Thanks for stopping by!

Update:
Today we went to Legoland and the kids had a blast.  They were amazed at the lego creations.

And by the independence they had, Ava was very excited to get to drive the car while Sadie and Dalton sat in the back seat.  Ava told Shelby she now had her driving license and could drive her car when we get home.

Berry Good Year

My Sadie loves to give her teachers something to remember her by.  She wanted  it to be something
involving the Berry Basket so we made this one using the Coaster Board and added a Watermelon Wonder bow to it.  She also wanted to make a tag to go in it using a sentiment she had seen on Pinterest..."We had a berry good year but orange you glad it is summer".  So we used the PL blank grid cards and she added the handwritten sentiment and we punched it to make a tag out of it.

Then we filled it with orange and berry items.

and a few strawberries.

and a flowerpot card.

The best part of this was that we made it together.  We made two of everything because she didn't want to leave the teachers aide out.  I am so proud of her, she has had a really good year.  She made Honor Roll 3 times and then had  two B's which knocked her off the 4th time.  Her teacher gave her class a list of 25 things to choose from and had them to vote for who they thought would be most likely to become those things on the list.  She was voted Most Artisitc and Most Likely to Become a Doctor.  We got the artistic part but don't know where the doctor part came from!

Don't forget about FREE shipping and Free taxes while I am gone!

Let the Fun Begin!

First picture from vacation!  We got a late start yesterday from family reunion so I drove all night so the kids woke up to this about 5:00 am this morning!  They were ready to hit the beach but I had to get a nap first.  Thanks for stopping by!

Flowers for the Teachers

While I had the daisy die cuts out, I made this little flower pot as part of the end of the year teacher gifts for the kids to give to their teachers.  Don't you just love this ribbon...it was tied onto some tape I ordered online the other day.  I put it next to a piece of the Watermelon Wonder ribbon and it is the same exact shade.  But alas...I used every inch of it to make four of these flower pots.  This is just part of the gifts, I will show you the rest tomorrow!

Update:
We are still in Kentucky, I got to visit with some of my family yesterday.  I hadn't seen  one of my sisters nor my brother in 3 years so we had a lot of catching up to do.  They live in the mountainous region of Kentucky and yesterday on the way to their house we saw a black bear sitting in the middle of the road.  The kids went crazy with excitement and wanted to get out and pet it.  Of course we didn't let them but we did stop the car and watch him for about twenty minutes.  He had a sprite bottle that someone had thrown out and was trying to get into it.  He finally managed and he turned it up and drank it.  We had some crackers and the kids wanted to throw them out for him, it startled him and he ran off but not far.  He sat and starred at us for a while.  As we were on our way back he was out again and all the crackers had been eaten. We took some pictures and I hope to share them soon, the mountains make it hard to have Internet service and I haven't been able to have it long enough for my pictures to download.

Daisies for My Friend

I have been using a lot of Watermelon Wonder and Bermuda Bay together and love how this card turned out.  I used a die set my friend Sherrie gave me last year to cut the daisies out.  I may just have to send her this card.  Thanks for stopping by!

I'm Here For You

Today's card was made with the stamp set, You've Got This.  I colored my flowers with Blendabilities.  I am continuing to use my blendabilities as I have had no problems at all with them but they are no longer available for purchase from Stampin' Up!  The sentiment is stamped in Delightful Dijon ink, I am really liking this color.

I am on vacation until June 22, we are going to my husband's family reunion in Kentucky and then I am going to get to visit my sisters and my brother for a few days and then we are headed to Florida for two weeks!  We are taking the four  littles to Disney, Lego Land, Universal Studios, Sea World, Space Center, and the beach.  We are leaving the big kids(adult children) home this time.  So while I am away, I am offering a special...FREE Shipping and FREE taxes on any order placed between June 2nd and June 22.  You can order online here, you will have to pay for the shipping and taxes when you order but when I return, I will reimburse you along with a FREE gift as well.

Update:  We made it to Kentucky in a little less than 8 hours and the littles did very well, I think the anticipation was enough to keep them excited and content.  The first thing they  did was jump in the pool for an hour and then to the room for another hour in the Cuzzi(Jacuzzi).  They went to sleep easy enough but were up at 5:30 wanting to go swim again.  Today we will visit family and friends, go to a local festival, take flowers to the family cemetaries,  and I'm sure more swimming.

A Cherry on Top

I had to make another card with the Sprinkles of Life.  I just had to... after I found the sentiment I  used on this card.  I love a play on words along with this DSP design from the Cherry on Top paper pad.  I used a really old set for the sentiment called  Goody-Goody Gumdrops and the sentiment I used inside says Happy Birthday with a Cherry on Top.  Love it!

Bundled Baby

As soon as I saw the retiring list, I hurried and got this cute baby set because I do a lot of custom work and knew this would be good to have for that.  Sure enough, I got a big order from a lady just yesterday wanting to replenish her supply of baby cards.  She has been a repeat customer now for three years!  She doesn't mind if the DSP is retired or if the stamp set is retired and always lets me make whatever I choose.  Thanks Glenda P. for being so easy to please!
