Sweet Baby

I really like the new Swirly Bird stamp set and matching Swirly Scribbles Thinlet dies.  I needed a baby boy card for a friend and love how the little boat turned out.  the photopolymer stamps make it so easy to line up when you are stamping several pieces.  Don't forget, YOU can order from the new catalog tomorrow!

World's Best Teacher

More teacher appreciation gifts today, this one for Sadie's Social Studies teacher.  I took the World's Best from one stamp and the teacher from another stamp to make the banner.

And I made two of these, for the librarians.  Shelby reads a lot so she sees the librarians often and said she wanted to give them something since they usually get left out when it comes to teacher appreciation.  I am so proud of my thoughtful girl, I have to admit I had never remembered to include them before.  This is another wood mount box with a journal inside.  thanks for stopping by!

Happy Retirement

My Shelby's favorite teacher is retiring this year so she wanted a card to give to  her.  I had made a similar card as a birthday so I just had to change it a little.

I had already made her this as a teacher appreciation gift.  I used the Wood Mount stamp boxes and just added some DSP and the rose to the front.  This DSP is from the upcoming catalog and is called Pop of Pink.

I found these journals at Walmart and they match the DSP perfectly so this is what we put inside along with some of her favorite mini candy bars.  I probably should have made a card to match the box but Shelby was ok with it.    Thanks for stopping by!

Thank You

This card is my newest kit for $5.00 Friday classes.  In case you are wondering, the $5.00 Friday classes are not my usual classes where everyone is working on the cards I choose for them to make but instead I have 34 kits available with all the pieces precut  so that you can chose which 3 cards you want to make .  They are designed so that you can make all three in about an hour.  You work on your own, I am usually working on a custom order or prepping for another class but am available to answer any questions that come up.  By request of several long distance ladies, I am now offering these as a mailable kit as well.  Kits in the Mail will be $10.00 to cover postage but you will also get five cards instead of 3.  You will also get directions for making the cards and a substitute list of stamps in case you don't have the ones I used on the card.  A link to a photo of the sample cards will also be included.  Some of the DSP I use for these kits is retired.  Send me an email if you are interested at dls8383@gmail.com and I will send you photos of the available kits.   thanks for stopping by!

Painter's Palette

I needed something to brighten up my day since it is so gloomy outside, we have had enough rain to last me for the next year.  This DSP called Playful Palette is just what I needed, it features some of the new In colors for 2016-2018(Emerald Envy, Sweet Sugarplum, and Peekaboo Peach) as well as Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Blushing Bride.  The stamp set is called Painter's Palette and it coordinates with the new Layering Squares Framelit Dies. Thanks for stopping by!

May Paper Pumpkin

Have you thought about joining Paper Pumpkin?  I can't wait to get mine in the mail every month.  For May, we got this pretty die cut piece and orange corrugated paper to back it.  Not only is Father's Day covered in this kit,  but there are 19 other stamps in the set.  The kit even includes the ink.  The good part is that you can skip a month if you want or even unsubscribe for a while and then start back when you are ready. A subscription to Paper Pumpkin would be great for a card ministry at church or any group that meet regularly to stamp or scrapbook.   If you are interested, go to mypaperpumpkin.com and get signed up.

Castle Rock Park

I went on a field trip today with this handsome guy and we had a blast.  We went to Castle Rock Park which is awesome park in our area.

They have lots of rock and wood climbing areas as well as a lot of figures dressed as knights fighting dragons, wizards, ect.

This giant dragon was Dalton's favorite, the kids could climb on it and jump at several different levels.  It was the favorite of most of the kids and was the busiest.

And all Kingdoms  have to have a Unicorn.

This was my favorite, there are two frightened  knights hovering in a tree while Dalton hangs out with the dragon totally unafraid!

And of course a picnic of PB&J and strawberries along side a lovely princess is what every knight dreams of.  The best part for me was just hanging out and listening to their pretend play, and trying not to get caught smiling at their cute conversations as knights and princesses.  I think I enjoyed it more than the kids did!

Hurry up June 1!!!

I am getting excited about the new Annual Catalog which will launch on June 1!  If you haven't dropped by to get your copy yet, please do.  I think this one is the best yet!  I only mailed to my out of town/state customers.

Perfect Chemistry

I have a couple more teacher appreciation gifts to share today.  Shelby wanted hers to be related to the subject each teacher teaches.  So I pulled out a stamp set called Perfect Chemistry that retired several years ago to make her chemistry teachers gift.   And what better way to package it than in a test tube.

We are also adding a gift card with each one.

I used another retired stamp for the World's Greatest and a sticker for the Band Director part.  It is hard to see but the black paper has embossed music notes on it.  Shelby loves band and the band teacher is her favorite.  They have won every competition they have entered in the past 4 years except one and they second in that one.  They have such a winning reputation that there is some band directors who  call the competition hosts to ask if they are competing and if they are they won't participate.   thanks for stopping by!

Swirly Scribbles

Today  I have another sneak peek from the new catalog.  The flowers were cut with the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits dies which coordinate with the Swirly Bird stamp set.  I used three of the new In Colors...Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, and Sweet Sugarplum.  The ribbon will be available in the new In Colors and the DSP is from the Pop of Pink DSP.  The Birthday sentiment is from a Hostess set called Time of Year and the Happy is from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set.  These items will be available for ordering on June 1.  Thanks for stopping by!

Teacher Appreciation

I have a start on teacher appreciation projects, I showed each of  the kids a sample of what I have done in the past for teachers and let them choose what they wanted me to make.  Dalton chose these Post it Note holders, they are really quick and easy so I have his done for both teachers and the teacher's aide.

I always use retired papers for these kind of projects.

Theses are really easy, just cut the paper to fit the acrylic photo frame and add a few embellishments.  Thanks for stopping by!

Just Sitting Here

I think this might be my favorite stamp set from the new catalog.  We have lived in a LOT of different houses in a lot of different states and if there wasn't a swing already there when we moved, that was always the first thing I purchased.  I used some of the new In Colors for this card, Peekaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum, and Dapper Denim.  The foliage is from the free set that was included in this month's Paper Pumpkin.  Thanks for stopping by!

It's My Party

For today's card I used the retiring It's my Party DSP, the Circle Framelit die, Bitty Banners Framelits,  and the It's my Party  Enamel dots.  I used the Balloon Punch for the balloons and it is being carried over.  I got my catalog pre-order yesterday so I should have some sneak peeks from the new catalog soon.  Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Blooms

Today I have a card made of mostly retiring product. The Birthday Blooms stamp set is carrying over in the new catalog but the It's My Party DSP, the Baker's Twine, and the Circle Framelit dies are all retiring.  Don't forget the Retiring List will only be available until May 31.  I have the new catalog available for FREE to anyone  who has ordered from me in the past 6 months.  I have had a few people order from me online who checked the "no contact" option and that means I don't know who ordered so I can't send you  a catalog.  Thanks for stopping by!

Prom 2016

I can't believe it has been over a week since I posted anything, but my life has been crazy busy.  I took on a custom job of decorating bags for the After Prom event and it was a bit overwhelming.  I didn't get the bags until a week before prom and had to do 300 so I put in some long hours.  In addition to that there was a lot to be done to get my Shelby ready for the big night.

We had a professional photographer take photos but I couldn't resist taking a few on my own.

I adore her friends, they are all such sweet, intelligent girls, I hope they stay friends forever.

I couldn't leave Sadie out, she was very excited to be asked to tag along for pictures.  I didn't get one of Shelby in the swing but the photographer did and I can't wait to get the CD of all the shots.
