Good afternoon! Today's project is very similar to one of the Make and Takes at a recent SU event, I really like the clean and simple style so I had to make one. I used Crumb Cake card stock for the base and the DSP layer is from the Sweet Shop collection. The leaf and the center of the flower are actually card stock that has been stamped on using stamps from the sets Send Me Soaring and Up in the Air. Good evening! I am so glad it is Friday, I have had a super busy week. Today I have a card using the Apothecary art stamp set, I thing every image in this set is pretty and hope to spend a little time next week making up a set of cards using all of them. It is made to be used with the Labels collection Framelit dies. I used Twitterpated DSP and Basic Gray, Riding Hood Red, and Island Indigo card stock. The Riding Hood Red pleated satin ribbon and Boho flowers finish it off.

Good Monday afternoon! The girls are out of school for MLK day so I took most of the day off too. Shelby went ice skating and Sadie and I are just hanging out but I do have a project to show you. I have a friend who is not "crafty" at all but loves to get things handmade so I send her things occasionally. She loves to have something she can put on her desk and enjoy for a while so I made this Valentine easel card for her. I used several of the framelet dies from the Hearts Collection as well as the Fashionable Hearts embosslit die. The image is from the Take It to Heart and Loving Thoughts stamp sets. This card is bigger than standard size but will fit in a 5x5 envelope for mailing.

I have had several inquiries about my Ocassions Class so I want to give you a few more details. I am offering this class by mail. For those who have indicated they want to use Paypal, I will send you a Paypal invoice five days before the actual class and will mail your packets as soon as I receive your payment. Good afternoon! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. I have had a play day today and hopefully another one for tomorrow. A fellow demonstrator, my friend Bobbie came by today and we worked on "all things cupcake". The school she works at is having a program and the theme centers around cupcakes so we tried to get creative using cupcakes. I really enjoyed our time together, thanks Bobbie. Today I have a HUGE rosette to show you, it is 8 inches is diameter. I used the Designer Rosette die from the Occasions Mini which makes it a fast and easy project. It only took me 15 minutes from start to finish and I love how it turned out. The die will actually cut up to 10 inches but since I had to cut 3 sections from one sheet of 12x12, I made mine 8 inches. Thanks for stopping by!

Good morning! Before I tell you about my project for today, I have to tell you why I lost sleep last night. I starting reading a book, Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers, and could not put it down. I did fall asleep once about 2:00 and then woke back up at 3:30 and started reading again. If you haven't read this book, you should...it is a Christian love story like no other I have read. I had heard from some other demonstrators that they didn't like it so I was hesitant to buy it at first so I borrowed one from my friend Paula. I love it! Good afternoon! Is it too early to start posting Valentines? I have been making a few because I got to preorder from the Occasions Mini and wanted to try out my new stamps. I love the new Embossing Folders, they are strips rather than a full card front which makes it easy to emboss on just part of the card front. I also used the Edgelet Die to cut the scalloped edge on the bottom. The heart was cut with the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit die and the sentiment is from the stamp set P.S. I Love You. This was a very quick and easy card to put together.

Sadie was organizing her room this morning and I took a few photos of her with her new American Girl doll that she got for Christmas. I usually get her one for her birthday and one for Christmas but she has all the Historical dolls so she only gets the Girl of the Year now. This years doll is named Kanani and is from Hawaii. This one is her favorite for right now but I bet her Bitty Twins will be back off the shelf soon.

Happy New Years Eve! Hope you have big plans for bringing in the New Year, me not so much...I decided to come into the office to do a little stamping and catch up on a few things but will probably be in bed by 10:00. My girls have a few days left of Christmas break and they have plans for Monday and Tuesday so I am sure I will be driving them wherever they plan to go so I may be hard to catch until they go back to school on Wednesday. I did at least unpack a shipment and made this card. I don't do very well at Vintage and this beautiful DSP is very much that. It is the Everyday Enchantment from SAB catalog and the stamp set is called Elementary Elegance and is also SAB. Good afternoon! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, mine was an adventure. I won't go into details except to say stomach viruses make Christmas a little less merry. But all is well now so maybe I can get some things made with all the new stuff I ordered from the Occasions Mini and Sale a Bration catalogs. Stampin' Up has announced that the Stocking Punch and Stitched Stockings stamp set will not be carried over to the new main catalog in July so if you want that punch you will need to order it by Jan 3. The Stocking Die and Accents die will be carried over as well as the Peekaboo Frames die. I will be placing an order on Jan 3rd if you need something.

Good afternoon! Wow, I can't believe Christmas is almost here, I think the realization hit me this morning that I am totally not ready. I have bought a few things but the lists still have a lot to be marked off. It has been crazy things that have kept me from getting what I need to get done, like losing power on Saturday and having to spend most of the day helping my husband get the parts to install a whole new electrical breaker system. I am just thankful we were home when it burned up because we could have easily lost our home. Luckily I went into the laundry room and smelled wood burning just before the electricity went out. Plus I must have been crazy to schedule dentist appointments and check ups this close to Christmas, that is where we have been this morning. The girls have parties at school tomorrow and of course I have lots to do get ready for that but then it is off to the mall.

Anyway, I do have a card to show you for today, it has a total of 5 sneak peaks on it! The DSP is gorgeous and is called Sweet Shop from the Occasions Mini. The stamp set is called Mouthwatering and is one of my favorites as well as the Jelly Bean Brads which coordinates with the Sweet Shop paper. We are also getting Baker's Twine in all five of the new In Colors. I used Lucky Limeade here. And the best one...the Labels Collection Framelit Dies are just what I have been wanting. A Lotta Snowmen

Good Monday afternoon! Today I have a lotta snowmen to show you, well you only see the last 9 in the photo but the other 47 are in the boxes all ready to be shipped. I had an order for 56 snowmen treat holders! When I got the email ordering them I immediately sent one back confirming the number just in case it was a typo. I used the Fancy Favor die to make the box and then used the Top Note to make the snowman, they actually go together fast especially since I had a little help from the girls with punching. They didn't mind helping since when we finished these on Saturday they knew it would be cookie baking time!

Christmas Traditions

Good morning! Do you celebrate Christmas with traditions that have been in your family for years? We do, and I want to share a few with you. I have to admit sometimes it is just plain hard to get to everything and last year I wasn't on top of things and time kind of slipped away and we didn't do all the things we traditionally do. So this year I have made it a priority, my girls won't let me get away with slacking again! They love making a gingerbread house and usually I bake the gingerbread myself but this year I went with a kit(I didn't say I wasn't going to take a few shortcuts:) A second tradition is to shop for the new addition to the Christmas village, this year it had to be a horse since they are all about horses right now. We also got the barn that is in the photo. Check back to see the rest of our traditions..... we have a long list.

Good Monday morning! I hope you had a wonderful weekend, ours was super busy but so much fun too. On Saturday I had my last class until the New Year and after that the girls and I finished up all the house decorations and did a little baking. Yesterday was nonstop...we went to church and then at 2:00 Shelby had her band concert and choir performance which was over at 3:30 and then we hurried home to get Sadie and Dalton ready for their musical at 5:30. I am the choir director for the 2-3 year old choir at church aka as The Noisemaker Choir which is the one Dalton is in. My little ones will sing their hearts out in the room but the minute they walk on stage they freeze and hardly sing at all but the cute factor is enough to get us through. Sadie is in the Christ Kids choir and they put on a play and musical, she did an awesome job with the actions and singing. I will show you a little clip of it tomorrow.

Good morning! Today I have a couple of the projects made at my gift and treat class over the weekend. I showed you the one I made here but don't you just love these. I have the most talented ladies who love to stamp and I love spending time with them. The first one was made by Menthia and she made hers as a gift for her daughter who is a teacher, she cut the big flowers from another piece of DSP which made the perfect accent for her memo board. A Little Something

Good Monday morning! Do you have a list of people that you want to give a little something to...well this gift is perfect for that. This is a little box that would be perfect for homemade candy or cookies or even a cupcake as well as any small gift you had in mind. It is made using the Scalloped Envelope die, you cut 4 of them and cut one flap off of each one and then adhere them together and shape into a box. I also made a platform for mine from chip board using the Scalloped Square die and then adding a layer of embossed card stock. This was one of the options for my Gift and Favor class this past weekend. I will be showing you some more of the projects throughout the week as well as some of the fabulous gifts and cards the talented ladies attending the class came up with.

Good morning, it is snowing here in Southern Illinois. My girls were doing a happy dance when they got up this morning to snow but they didn't get out of school as they hoped. So, since we have snow I thought a snowman was in order....as a card not a real one! I ordered this set(Snow Much Fun) in July but haven't used it very much so I pulled it out today. Good Monday morning! Today I have a cute little bag decorated to look like a Santa suit. This is a 5 minute project and it is sure to make someone smile. I cut the bag down a little to make it approx. 5 inches and then cut Real Red card stock to fit, two strips of glitter paper, a strip of black for the belt, and a 1 1/4 inch square of Brushed Gold layered with a 1 inch square of black for the buckle. The sentiment is from Tags til Christmas punched out with the Decorative Label punch and a glimmer brad with a Real Red Satan bow. Thanks for stopping by!

Good Sunday afternoon! I don't usually post on Sunday but I had someone request photos of a project we will do at an upcoming class that will be about small gifts, favors, and treats. This is the perfect class to make teacher and co-workers a little something that will mean a lot because you made it. I do still have space left if you haven't already RSVP'd for this one. Today's project smells soooo good...it is a candle holder with coffee beans in the bottom. I used a Mason jar and put the votive holder on top in place of the lid, made a belly band, tied some ribbon on the top and added the coffee beans. I am not a coffee drinker but the smell on my desk right now is so enticing I may have to try it again. I used the stamp set Morning Cup for the image. Thanks for stopping by!

Stocking Accents

Good Saturday morning! I have made about 30 different stockings now but I think this one is my favorite so far. I really like the Christmas tree which is from the Stockings Accents die. This die also has a candy cane, holly leaf and berry, and two different ornaments. I cut this one in card stock but I have also made some tree ornaments using chip board and then covering it in card stock or DSP. This die is only $17.95 and when you consider a punch is $16.95 this is a very good price. A few other details ...the tree is decorated with Rhinestones that have been colored with a red sharpie, the holly is from Winter Wishes stitched felt and the Baker's twine is Cherry Cobbler. Tag Time

Good morning! hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful, mine was ...lots of food and family. Today I have a gift tag to share with you. I found this cute stamp set called Festive Friends that came out in 2000 at a consignment store and had to have it. The images are perfect size for tags and really fun to color as well. I used a die to cut the tag out but wanted it to be a little longer so I added a piece of embossed card stock and sandwiched it between two die cuts. This keeps the back side neat in case the markers bleed through as well.

Good afternoon! Hope all your plans are going along nicely for Thanksgiving, I am starting my meal preparations tomorrow. We are expecting at least 12 for dinner. It will be hard this year as one seat will be empty, my husband lost a dear friend a few month's ago who always came to all our holiday meals since he had no family. I am sure we will remember all the good times and all the funny stories we always shared with him but he will be missed.

Today I have the cutest little sleigh to show you. I have seen some around made using the Top Note die but mine is made using the Sizzix die which I am sure is the inspiration for the others. My dear friend Brenda got the die and of course she shared it so I could make a few for myself. I made a box to sandwich between two die cuts and it holds 4 chocolate nuggets perfectly. This would be so fun to give to teachers or co-workers for their desk or to use as a table decoration.

Frostwood Christmas

Good Monday morning! Hope you had a good weekend, mine was busy but good. I took the girls to Paducah to see one of the celebrities from their favorite Disney show, Shake it Up Chicago. They were so excited and didn't mind at all waiting in line for over 2 hours. It was fun although tiring for me and of course we had to shop afterward. Shelby got her dress and shoes for the Fall Ball, they are growing up way to fast for me.

Good evening! This week has flown by, I can't believe it is Thursday already. Today I have a banner made using the Stocking Die, I had made a different one but forgot to take a picture of it and then it sold at my last craft show. I made two of these, one for my mantle at home and one for a sample to hang in my classroom. It is hard to see in the photo but the stockings on each end have DSP on them. I used the Timeless Type alphabet dies to cut the letters and the cuff of the stockings are embossed with the Snow Burst folder. Thanks for stopping by!

MOJO Monday Christmas

Good morning! I loved the sketch from MOJO Monday and had to give it a try. I saw a card done using the Designer Frames embossing folders on one of the display boards while at SU Regionals and knew I wanted to use it for a Christmas card. I used Early Espresso for the base with a layer of Cherry Cobbler and then a layer of Very Vanilla that was embossed with the Snow Burst embossing folder. The designer papers are retired. The skaters are from my all time favorite Winter Post set and the sentiment is from the Beautiful Season stamp set.

Red Nosed Reindeer

Good Monday morning! Hope you had a wonderful weekend, mine didn't start out so good but yesterday made up for it. I have to tell you about an event I set up a booth at. I probably didn't find out enough about it before hand which was my first mistake. It was a fund raiser so they charged admission and sold tickets beforehand. What I didn't know was that they also sold alcohol at the event which is always a red flag for me. I don't think it was well advertised either because the attendance was not good and the ladies there were more interested in the drinks than anything else. It was supposed to last until 10:00 pm but at 7:30 I packed up and left. I guess it was a lesson learned. Yesterday was a wonderful day out with all three of my girls, we went shopping and had a super good day.

Ok, enough whining...I do have a cute project for you today. I love the stocking die in the Holiday Mini and also love finding multiple uses for it. I didn't come up with the original idea to use it for a reindeer but I put a few of my ideas into this one. I used the one of the leaves from the leaf die for his antlers and made his eyes from the oval punch and gave him long eyelashes. I also put a Box #2 die in the middle to hold a gift card, treat, or small gift. The box fits perfectly and all you have to do is cut one end out of it. Thanks for stopping by.

Good evening! I hope you are taking time today to honor a Veteran. My Dad was a Korean War Veteran and I have had him in my thoughts all day, he passed away in 2004 and it is days like today that I miss him most.

Today's project is a Memo Board I made using a chip board base covered with a 12 x12 piece of DSP from the Timeless Portrait collection. I cut Top Notes from magnet sheets, cork board, and blackboard Decor Elements and attached them down the side. This is one of the projects we are making in my Big Shot class tomorrow. Good afternoon! Today I have a card that was inspired by Mary Brown who was one of the presenters at the Louisville Regional SU event I went to last month. Mary makes the cutest bows which is what she demonstrated. It does take practice and mine is not even near as pretty as hers but I will just have to practice some more. Good afternoon! I have to tell you what an exciting weekend I had at a local craft fair this past weekend. I met sooo many new people who were excited about card making and scrap booking, thanks to everyone who came by my booth and either bought or signed up for classes. My card today is one we made at the SU Regional event in Louisville, Ky recently using the stamp set You Are Loved from the Holiday Mini. Good morning! Today I have a Christmas home decor project to share. I have seen these framed pieces everywhere in blogland, I don't know who came up with the idea but I am enjoying making them. The frame is 10x13 and I got it at a dollar store either Family or General can't remember which. I used Letters to Santa DSP and Chocolate Chip card stock. I got the felt Nativity at a craft and hobby store. This was a very easy project to make and I am working on a few different styles which I hope to share soon.

Hope your weekend is going good, mine has been super busy. I wanted to share a little about the conference I attended the first part of the week. It was so awesome, we had a bunch of well known speakers and musicians such as Selah and Ricky Skaggs. The classes were all good, I wish I could of gone to all of them but we could only choose 4 each day. I am very tired and it has taken me a bit to get rested, our classes started each morning at 8:30 and we finished around 9:00pm each night.

I do have a project to share, I actually finished this a while ago but had forgotten to photograph it. I used the 25 and Counting stamp set and the Peekaboo Frames die. I used a ton of different products on this such as the jingle bells, bakers twine, punches, buttons, and ribbon. It is even musical! I found these cute little music buttons at a local craft store and just had to incorporate them into the countdown. The music buttons are located on day 19, 24, and 25 and they play Jingle Bells, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, and Silent Night.

I hadn't got my photos from the girls birthday's last weekend until today so I thought I would share them with
you. Their birthday's are a day apart and most of the time they each want a separate party but this year they allowed me to have it together. The only catch was that they both wanted sleepovers. So, I knew they would need some kind of entertainment and decided to rent some inflatables. One of them was nearly 30 feet tall, taller than our house and had a double slide. I think the adults enjoyed it as much as the kids, I was even talked into going down the slide on the condition that no photos were taken:)

Dalton completely wore himself out and had to take a nap and then start over again.

Good afternoon! Whew have I been in a whirlwind, I hardly know my name much less what day it is. I had some posts scheduled and they kinda got out of order so this may be my second one for today. Anyway just wanted to let those who were here yesterday stamping know that Sadie is fine, she just had an asthma attack but is 100% better today(she even went back to school). I apologize for running out on you but I am a Mom first and when duty calls...Today I have the cutest little turkey to show you, my friend Debbie(from Champagne)sent this to me. It is adorable and would be the perfect place card for a Thanksgiving table. It is made by cutting out two of larger tags from the Two Tags die and adhering them together and then making a rosette using the Simply Scored tool and fastening it to one of the tags. This leaves a space behind Tom Turkey to slip a miniature candy bar into. For the turkey face I used various punches. Thanks for stopping by!

Good morning! Just when I thought things were starting to settle down basketball and cheerleading have started so we are in high gear. I have a case of the wreath in the Holiday Mini to show you today. I started this some time ago then other things kept taking up my time but I have finally finished it. I love how it turned out and will be trying it again with Christmas colors. The Simply Scored tool makes this a very easy project to make. Most of the papers I used are retired, Istill have so much retired paper that I am trying to use up.

.....you will have to wait a little longer, just until the end of this post though! I have finally got my computer back and I am so thrilled that it could be fixed instead of having to be replaced. I have been so frustrated at the person repairing it though, he is the rudest man I have ever met, he had me in tears today after I had to deal with him twice. But anyway, all is good now. I am so blessed to have all you, my readers, in my life. Your comments, emails, and well wishes have been been worth the unpleasantness. I have been super busy creating cards and a few home decor items and favors which I will show you over the next few days.

Today's project is a Christmas Tree made from a styrofoam cone. I used Newsprint and Love Letter DSP(both retired) which I cut into strips, formed loops and straight pinned to the cone. On top is a jingle bell and some Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon. It was a little time consuming but I really like how it turned out.

I am sorry to say that I still have no computer(: I called the repairman again this morning and he very rudely told me that he would call me" IF" he got it fixed. It doesn't look promising. I am going to give him until Wednesday and then I guess I will have to buy a new one. So, I am also extending the Blog Candy until Wednesday. I have all the names written and cut out and the basket is ready for the drawing but I will add any additional ones from comments or orders over the next two days....and to make it even better I have added a gift certificate in the amount of $25.00 from Stampin' Up to the loot. Computer Problems

Good afternoon! It has not been a good week so far for me, I started my computer up Monday morning and checked my email and then got started working on a custom order. I decided to take a break after a couple hours and noticed my computer was turned off, but after about an hour of trying to get it to come back on I realized it was something I couldn't fix. It is now in the shop being repaired, and of course the guy working on it says it may be several days before he can get to it.

a little batty

Good Sunday evening! I have had a wonderful weekend, spending time with my church family today at a picnic and yesterday at our Flea Market as well as time with my own family. My son, Chad, has been home this weekend so I have made home cooked meals for him as he lives alone and really appreciates a "Mom" cooked meal.

Today I have a bat that I made like the one Shellie demonstrated at some of the recent Regional events. I haven't been to any of these events and am not sure if my bat is just like hers but I did see a photo and just went from that to make mine. I used the Petal Cone die, the Pennant die and a 1 inch circle punch as well as the Spider Web embossing folder. I think it is adorable and of course it sold out first thing at my craft show so I will have to get busy making more.

Good Friday afternoon~! I am way behind on adding to my blog candy so today I have three items. The Baja Blue ribbon is retired and has about 6 inches used from it but that still leaves over nine yards, the green ribbon is not SU but would be great for Christmas projects, and the stamp set is called Afterthoughts and is a hostess set. I have busy making projects to sell at a flea market for our church as a Mission Project. It is Saturday Sept. 17th in the parking lot across from First Baptist Church if you live locally and would like to check it out. I have always done well with these little treat boxes so I made a few of them, these two plus a cute little witch. The box is made using the Fancy Favor die and then I just add a handle. I used mostly retired DSP.

Good afternoon! I have been busy as a bee creating cards this morning, 17 in all! But, I can't show them to you because I haven't photographed them yet and 15 of them were thank you cards for the ladies who have made purchases this month so far so I want to mail them before I show you. I do have a project though, the stocking we made at Big Shot Class. I used Cherry Cobbler card stock and the DSP is from the Frostwood Lodge in the Holiday Mini. I used the Stocking Accents die to cut the felt holly and berries.

Good Monday afternoon! Today I have one of the projects we made at my Big Shot class last week. This week highlighted fabric so we made this gorgeous flower to go on top of a gift box. The box is from the Kraft Gift Boxes in the Holiday Mini, you get 4 for $2.95. I used Spice Cake fabric and DSP. To make the flower I used the Fun Flowers and the Blossom party dies and cut fabric, batting and burlap layers. I added a brad to the center to hold it together and then a hat pin from the retired Pretties Kit.

Good Saturday afternoon! Today I have a project I cased from the catalog, I knew I had to make this the first time I saw it. My sweet Dalton loves anything with wheels especially ""BIG TRUCKS" and has the cutest way of saying big truck in a very deep voice every time he sees one pass by. I used Timeless Type alphabet dies to cut the letters out in Pool Party, Coral Calypso, Lucky Limeade, and Daffodil Delight. I can't wait to give it to him.

I am going to be showing you some purses made by my friend Chris through out the rest of the month. These are for sale and you can contact me if you are interested in purchasing one. If you need to have it shipped there will be shipping cost and also sales tax will be added. This purse is $25.00. It measures approximately 9x9 inches and has a shoulder length strap with zipper top opening and pockets on the inside.

Christmas Lodge

Happy Labor Day! I have had a wonderful weekend, lots of family time. We went to the State Fair on Saturday which is always fun and then yesterday a friend came all the way from Champagne, IL to stamp with me. We made 3 cards and chatted about a little bit of everything. It was a very relaxing and much needed break for me, thanks Debbie! This is one of the cards we made which is really much prettier IRL. The stamp set is from the Holiday mini and is called Christmas Lodge. We stamped it in Always Artichoke ink and then sprayed it with Smooch Spritz and it looks very snowy although you can't tell it from the photo. Good morning, it has been a wonderful morning for me! I have already had two wonderful friends stop by to stamp and chat this morning. I got a little surprise in the mail yesterday, Stampin' Up sent me a birthday card. My birthday is actually at the end of the month but they sent the card early along with a little discount on anything from the catalog. The card was made using My Digital Studio and is very pretty but I am going to try remaking it using punches and layers.

My Three Little Wranglers

Good evening! I was able to get some photos of our new obsession...horses. The girls are absolutely loving their new horses. We are boarding them about 10 miles out of town until and they can't wait until we can bring them closer to home. This is Shelby on Beauty, she has riding lessons so she just climbs on and takes off and we don't see her until time to go home. Sadie is a little more reluctant to ride alone so Dad has to lead her on Beauty since her horse hasn't been broken to ride yet.

I really like how this card turned out, I used Spice Cake DSP again. I got the idea for the medallion using both sides of the DP on Debbie Duchess's blog. I die cut a scallop circle with some burlap for the center as well as a flower using Spice Cake fabric and put them together with a Pool Party brad. Thanks for stopping by!

Good morning! I can not believe that today is Friday already, this week has flown by. The girls are settling back into the school routine amazingly well this year. Usually I have to stand over Shelby to make sure she stays focused on homework but she has been coming home and getting it done without a hassle.

Today's card is one I made for a Christmas SAS using a new set from the Holiday mini called Bright Hopes. The DSP is retired and the embossing folder isn't SU but it kinda went with the DSP. I added pearls to the tree but I think Dazzling Diamonds are in order for the next one.

Good afternoon! I have a new great-niece and as usual I am running low on baby cards so I had to whip one up before I sent a little package her way. I used some pieces I left over from another project laying on my desk and since I had to get it to the post office before they closed decided to use them. I used Very Vanilla and Whisper White together which is something I never do but I like the contrast it gave. So since I had two neutrals together I decided to try two pinks and put Pink Pirouette and Pretty in Pink together to finish out the card. Something different...but I kinda like it.

Good Saturday afternoon! Today I have a cute baby card using the Pennant Punch. I have seen several cards using this punch to make a boat so I had to give it a try. The reason for my title..my crazy husband looked at my card and said "Oh you put a submarine on that one" . My reply was "what?, where?"... and he said "well, that's a boat, and that is water and that is a submarine under the water". So there you have it a submarine baby card. For those of you who know him...yeah, that is just Toy!

Good evening! I have been super busy today and had a few minutes before the ladies arrive for our Friday night crop. I have been on a roll with the Pennant Punch, this one for a birthday. The DSP is Domestic Goddess which I didn't care for when I first saw it in the catalog but recently took advantage of the Buy 3 Get 1 Free deal and bought it. I really like it now that I have it and can actually see it. The colors are gorgeous together, for this card I used the plaid design which coordinates with Pool Party and Calypso coral. After the Rain

Good evening! I can't believe how much I have accomplished the past two days, I am not sure if it is because the girls are back in school or if I am motivated to get my To Do list wiped out. Today I have a Christmas card using the embedded embossing technique. For this one I used the Pennant Punch and punched out DSP and arranged the pennants to form a star and then embossed with the Square Lattice folder. The deer is from the Christmas Post stamp set. The DSP is a Holiday Mini sneak peak called Holly Berry Bouquet.

We had a very loud thunder storm earlier today and lost our electricity for a couple hours and Dalton got a little frightened. So after the storm I took him outside to play in puddles, he loved it. I wish this photo had sound to it because he was laughing and having the best time running all over the parking lot. I am totally in love with this little man!

Good morning! Well the kids are at school today and it is too quiet here, I know I said I was anxious for school to start but now maybe not. Oh well, they get out at 11:30 today so the quiet is short lived. This is one of the cards we made at the Big Shot class, it is very simple but the retired Santa image is still my favorite. Good Sunday evening, hope you have had a wonderful weekend. I don't usually post on Sunday but I had to come by the office to pick up something so I thought I would share this card with you. I used a set called Always Thankful which will be in the Holiday Mini with Well Worn DSP. All three images in this set are beautiful but this is my favorite. I love Fall colors and love to color as well so this image was perfect.

We have had a fun day today. As soon as church was over we headed to Pizza Hut for lunch and then to the farm to ride horses. I remembered my camera this time but guess what I forgot...my memory card :( so I still have no photos to share. I will try really hard to get my act together and share photos next week. The horses are so sweet, they have been Amish trained and are very gentle. Shelby has had riding lessons before so she climbed on Black Beauty and took off but Sadie was a little reluctant at first. Dalton and I went for a horse drawn buggy ride which suits me just fine but he would rather be on the horse. Thanks for stopping by!~

Field Flowers

Good afternoon! Today I have a card using the stamp set Field Flowers. This set is featured on the front of the Idea Book and Catalog and I loved it the minute I saw it. The DSP is Spice Cake which will be in the Holiday Mini and coordinates with Soft Suede, More mustard, Pool Party, Pear Pizazz, River Rock, and Very Vanilla. I love the DSP so you will probably see me using it a lot. This card is much prettier IRL, I cut the flowers out and popped them up and the centers are cut out and popped up as well.

I've Got a New Toy

Good afternoon! Today I have a cute little dress favor box that I made with my new toy....I got the Big Shot Pro!!!! It is awesome, you can use dies that are 12 inches wide. I don't have but one die that big so far but I also love the fact that I can load up to 4 Originals Dies, or 2 Bigz XL dies or 3 Bigz L dies, or 4 embossing folders and cut them all at the same time. This saves me tons of time when I am prepping for a class and it will also be helpful when I hold Big Shot classes to have as an extra for the attendees to use.

This dress box is very easy to put together, requires no adhesive. I tied mine together with Pretty in Pink taffeta ribbon but you could also use a piece of Velcro. I think it would be perfect for a wedding or for a little girls birthday party favor. I used pretty in Pink card stock and embossed it using the Finial Press embossing folder.

Under the Big Top

Good evening! It seems like my days are shorter every day, I haven't been getting much accomplished as far as stamping goes because there is so much else going on. I have been trying to get the girls ready to go back to school next week and we have had eye doctor appointments, dentist appointments, othodontist visits, and clothes shopping plus they each got a new horse and so we have been spending time getting to know Black Beauty and Emma. I took them both for yearly check ups yesterday and they were both healthy as could be and then around 10:00 I went in to kiss Sadie good night and she was burning up with fever, 104.4. The fever has been down most of the day but she doesn't feel well at all so I will probably be heading back to the doctor by the end of the week to see what is going on. I did manage to get a card stamped today, I used one of my favorites from the new catalog, Under the Big Top. The Big Top Birthday DSP is gorgeous, the colors are so bright and cheery.

I had to share this photo as well, we went camping last week and this is a photo of the girls on the goft cart. Shelby will get her driver's license in three years and I am already starting to dread that day. She is so hyper and this picture is just how I imagine the two of them in a car, Shelby zooming around with Sadie holding on for dear life! They are such goof balls! Thanks for stopping by.

We have been at a water park for the past 3 days with the girls, we are trying to squeeze as much Summer fun as possible in before school starts back. Good evening! Today I have a Christmas card to share, my first of the year. I used some retired DSP along with Old Olive, Garden Green, Very Vanilla, and Early Espresso card stock. It is hard to tell but the Early Espresso ornament is embossed with clear embossing powder and popped up on a dimensional. There is also a little bling on this card, tiny rhinestones.
