Spring Silhouettes
Good Monday morning! The flu is making round # 2 at our house, Sadie has it now. I am the last one left standing! My husband says I out run it, I am so busy it can't catch me. God Bless You
I can't believe today is Friday, this week has flown by. Today I have a card made for a sketch challenge that is also a blog hop started by Mary Jo Price-Williams. I found it while visiting Elizabeth here. I didn't follow the sketch exactly as it has a rectangle and I did a square but I wanted to try making this frame which was demonstrated at Regionals. It only works on a 3 inch square and uses the Dotted Scallop border punch. You line the punch up evenly and punch all sides and this is what you get. I cut the banner with the Petal Cone die and the stamps are Crosses of Hope. The DSP is Sweet and Sour. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Summer Fun
Good evening, been a super busy but productive day. I am working on a huge wedding order and used most of the day to tackle part of that. I have until June to get the biggest part done but I know better than to put it off because I have spent a few all-nighters trying to meet a deadline. Anyway, today I am sharing a card that was on one of the display boards at Regionals. That is one of the things I enjoy the most about a SU event, they have tons of samples displayed and you can get a lot of ideas that way. The good thing about this particular card is that it uses a brand new stamp set that isn't available yet but will be in the Summer Mini and it gets even better!!!!....the first person to join my team between now and the end of SAB will get this set FREE and so will I! I don't know about you but I love the word FREE!! You want more FREE....then check out this blog post to learn what else is yours for FREE when you join my team!

It's the Little Things
Good morning! I love how this card turned out but I do not like how the photo turned out, I guess it is just too overcast to get a good photo which is another reason to wish for Spring. I have been wanting to use fabric on a card but didn't want the swatch of fabric look so I played around with making fabric yoyo flowers. I will cut my fabric a little wider next time but this size is perfect for using a stem from Sweet Summer(FREE!!!SAB!!!). The DSP is Springtime Vintage and the bow is made with Rose Red Seam Binding ribbon. The sentiment is from You're a Gem and is in a Baja Breeze button.

Create
Good afternoon! Today I have one of the Make & Take projects we made at Branson Regionals. I have to say that most of the time I don't even do the Make and Takes because to be honest they are usually so simple and more for a beginner stamper and I have even told them that in surveys after events. But this project is awesome, I love it! It uses the Petal Cone die to make the triangles, Nature Walk stamps, Botanical Gazette DSP, pearls, ribbon, and even a trinket key. Make sure you click on the photo to enlarge so that you can see all the detail. This is one of the projects we will make at my upcoming Petal Cone class so be watching for the details about that.

Birthday Wishes
Good Monday morning! Quick post today before I put this card in the mail to my friend Sherry. Happy 5? Sherry! This is a CAS card using the Celebrations DSP and a few punches. Hope to get some time today to photograph a few projects from Regionals and some I have ready but first I have to unpack and do laundry after I play with Dalton a little while. I missed him terribly while we were away. Thanks for stopping by!

Water Fun
If you ask my girls how to have fun, their answer is sure to involve water. They are both skilled swimmers and are on a swim team in Summer. Every time they get a few scheduled days off school we go somewhere fun. They just so happened to get off for a 4 day weekend which coincided with a Stampin' Up Regional event so we headed off to Branson. When I looked for lodging, I found the perfect place. The hotel has an indoor water park and was just a 5 minute drive to the SU event. They have had a ball here and I have had some relaxing time as well. I have some neat ideas from Regional which I will share next week.

Get your sunglasses out...
because this card is bright!!! It isn't hardly this bright IRL but it definitely makes me think of sunshine and flowers and Spring. I am at Regionals and this is the card I made as a swap, I ran out of time so not all of them have the Daisy on them. I used Daffodil Delight card stock and Greenhouse Gala DSP. The DSP is embedded into the Real Red card stock by layering them together and them embossing with the Square Lattice(I think that's the name of it, I don't have a catalog with me) embossing folder.
We are staying at a hotel that has an indoor Water Park called Castle Rock and the kids are having a ball. They love any activity that involves water. Hopefully I can drag them out of the water long enough to do some sight seeing and shopping later. I'll post some photos tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by!

Mr. and Mrs.
Good morning! Today I have more wedding favors, aren't they so cute! I had these both facing forward and just as I snapped the photo Mr. turned just slightly toward Mrs(they are so in love!). Seriously, these were so hard to photograph and they are really a lot cuter IRL. I used the Heart of Hearts embosslit to cut them out and then embellished to look a tux and wedding gown. These are part of what I sent to my potential customer as samples of what is available. I'll share more samples occasionally. I am off in a couple hours to Branson, Missouri to a Stampin' Up Regional event. I am sure to come back with lots of inspiration.
Click on the photo to see the detail a little better.

Are you planning a wedding soon?
Good morning, hope you had a wonderful Valentines Day. Today I have a cute little favor box made using the Two Tags die, I just love to use something in a different way than what it was intended for. I have seen these made all over the blog world so don't know who came up with it but thanks to whomever. Very simple to make, just cut two tags, adhere at the crease lines and build the sides, and add a handle. I have a wedding order and this is part of it, I sent her a bunch of samples and am waiting to hear which ones she will choose. For this one I used Love letter DSP with Very Vanilla card stock, antique brads and a few tiny pearls. I will show a few other versions in the next few weeks.
If you are planning a wedding, baby shower, bridal shower, or birthday party, I would love to help you with wedding favors, shower invitations, ect. I have done several weddings and can provide references.

Sweet Sunday and CCMC-OM3
Good afternoon! I was so looking forward to some down time over the weekend but it ended up being wild and crazy as usual. I know my Technique class ladies will agree that I my zoo(house) gets crazier by the week, they never know what to expect when they come. Anyway, today's card is for two challenges. The sketch is from Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge and the other is from Create with Connie and Mary's Occasion Mini online class and is a color challenge to use Rose Red, Baja Breeze, pear Pizazz, and Very Vanilla. It isn't too late to join the class, they have some awesome projects to share.
I thought I would break out my Build a Blossom stamps and my Blossoms Petal punch and the beautiful Springtime Vintage DSP. I added a few pearls and the cute little medallion is from a belt my daughter tore apart, I found it laying on the floor and since it had a hole in the middle I claimed it and used it. Thanks for stopping by!

Vintage for Paper Pals and SC319
It's Friday, finally. It has been a long and busy week and I am ready for some down time. Today I have a card I made for a couple different challenges. One is a sketch challenge at Splitcoast Stampers(SC319) and the other is for Paper Pals , the challenge was to make a vintage card. This DSP from Springtime Vintage and is available in the Occasions Mini Catalog. My great grandmother had a dress that was almost this same pattern, in fact I have a belt that went with the dress and it has just a little bit of orange in it but the flowers and the background are almost identical to this paper. Maw, as she was known to everyone, lived to be 104 and had 9 children of her own, raised 6 children for her daughter who died during childbirth, raised 8 children for her son who died in a train accident(one of these was my Dad), and raised 4 children for her niece who died at the age of 22. So this card is in honor of her.
I used Crumb Cake for the base layer, Springtime Vintage for the second layer, and then an embossed strip of Rose Red. The ribbon is Always Artichoke seam binding and it is threaded through a slit in the Designer Label punched piece. A few pearls and a dotted scallop border and it is done. Hope you like it.

Bliss
Good morning! Get everyone better and ready to go back to school but then it snows so no school again today. But that's ok, they can work on the Valentines they are giving to their classmates. I did sneak off to my stamp room last night after dinner and make a quick card. This one uses the FREE stamp set from Sale-a-bration called Bliss. I love it! It is so elegant when you use the brocade stamp or you can make it earthy by using the butterfly, flower, or bird. I think this one that will get a lot of use. My colors for this card are Rich Razzleberry although it is hard to tell that in the photo. I also used the Framed Tulips embossing folder. Thanks for stopping by! Also, a huge thank you for all those who have been leaving comments when they visit. I enjoy seeing who drops by and what they have to say!

Celebrate
Good morning! I still have kids out of school with the flu so this post will be short and sweet. This is another card we made last weekend at my Birthday Bash class. Very simple design but some special little touches. I added a button to the cupcake and filled the center with bling. I love the circles around the large oval punch especially since you can use all the colors from the paper for a little extra touch. Hopefully Shelby will be well enough to go back to school tomorrow and I will get to stamp some new stuff.

Candles and Cupcakes
Good morning! I'm up early or maybe you would say late because I don't think I slept at all. Shelby is having a hard time kicking this flu. Today I am sharing one of the projects we made last weekend at my Birthday Bash class. I saw these cake mix wrappers around about a year ago and did have them bookmarked but when I thought about doing this was unable to find them again. So, I just attempted it on my own and I won't share my pile of discards before I finally got it done. The front flap lets down and behind it is test tubes with sprinkles but I forgot to photograph that part. I also found some cute candles and decorations that matched my color theme and they go in the pocket on the front. The sentiment on the pocket says,"It's not how many candles you blowout, but how many cupcakes you get" and comes from the Create a Cupcake set. I love how this turned out and I think my class did too. Hope you have a wonderful day, mine will be busy.

CCMC-OM2
Good morning! Today I have a card made for a challenge over at Connie and Mary's Blog. I didn't think I wanted the Sew Suite stamp set since I don't really sew or know many people who sew but I have seen a ton of awesome projects done with it so I broke down and bought it. The only thing I don't like about it is that no sentiments came with it. Sew, improvise? I had to really think about this one, I need a birthday card for my sister, I really like this card sketch, I don't want to add the sewing machine or the pin cushion since she doesn't sew....so? So, while searching through my stamps I came across the set Totally Tool stamps...remember that one with the hammer, saw and tape measure...well this is the sentiment from the tape measure. It works! Hope you like it.

I'm here for you...
I thought I would pop in and share a card with you before I mail it out. This card is going to a very dear friend who recently lost a family member. It was unexpected and she is having a very tough time. I used and image from the stamp Have a Seat and a sentiment from Occasional quotes. The colors are Pacific Pointe and Whisper White. Just a simple card but hopefully she will know I am thinking about her and praying for her family.

Love
Hope you having a great Saturday! I have a Valentine to share with you today using the Valentine Defined set. Very easy card using Love Impression DP. I had a few of these retired brads left over so I put one on the tree, added some Whisper White taffeta ribbon and a big red button. Simple, but I like it.

More Birthday
Good morning, I have another birthday card today. This is a very CAS card, one layer of DP, a little ribbon and a punched sentiment. But look at that mat around the sentiment, no it isn't a die cut. I made it by using the little circle punch that comes in the Itty Bitty Punch pack, just punch out the circles and adhere them to the 2 1/2 inch circle. So easy, but really adds a lot to the card. This is one of the choices for my Birthday Bash class. If you haven't signed up, there is still time. Let me know today.

Birthday Bash
Good morning! The flu has hit our house, my husband and daughter are both sick. They went to the doctor yesterday and got medicine so hopefully they are on the mend. We all got flu shots but it just doesn't cover all the new strains that come along. I have a couple samples from my Birthday Bash class which is scheduled for Saturday. You will have a choice of the paper you choose, either Ice Cream Parlor or Celebrations. We will make 4 cards and 2 3-D items. If you live close by, come on over Saturday at 1:00.
I used Box # 2 die to cut out two boxes and adhered them together to make a little tote. The card stock color is Melon Mambo although it doesn't show up very well in the photo. I used Tangerine Tango Pom Trim to go around the top and added a punched cupcake. I am loving all the FREE stuff on this card, free paper, free ribbon, and free buttons. These are all choices of FREE stuff from the Sale-a-bration catalog. Do you want to make this project for FREE? If you place a $50.00 order(before shipping & taxes) I will mail you all the materials to make these two projects plus you will get a FREE Sale-a-bration item as well.

For You
Good morning! Today is February 1 so that means it is time for a Paper Cubed (P3) challenge. This month the challenge is to create something 3D for Valentines, of course. My favorite die right now is the Petal Cone from the Occasions Mini, it is so versatile. I cut three hearts and glued two of them together to form the heart pouch, then I cut the flap off the third one and cut it down the middle. By cutting it in half you can now fit the halves inside an embossing folder (one at a time) and then glued the halves on to the front of the pouch. The medallions are made with Love Letter and Newsprint DP and held together with an Antique brad. The bow was made with Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon. I have made several of these to give as Valentines but I think they would be beautiful as wedding favors too.
Make sure you visit the Paper Cubed blog and see what the rest of the Design Team came up with. They are an amazingly talented group!
While out cruising around in Blog land, I came across a blog called Create with Connie and Mary operated by two very talented ladies. They are offering an on-line class right now as well as some challengs. One of the challenges is to make something to be used for a treat and this certainly qualifies for that. I linked it up to their blog at CCMC-0M1.
