Our little town, Harrisburg, Illinois was hit with a deadly tornado early this morning. So far three fatalities are confirmed and over 100 injured. Many houses were destroyed and a whole strip mall was flattened. Please pray for all those affected by this. We are early risers so we were up at about 4:30 am and the thunder and lightning was unbelievable. I was headed upstairs to wake my three kids at about 5:15 to get them to a safe place when the tornado sirens went off. By the time I got them up and downstairs my husband came back inside and said it had just passed about a quarter mile from our home, he could see it. Please pray for all those who were injured, lost loved one, or lost their home.
edited to add... the fatalities are now at 10. Oh, how I pray it doesn't rise any higher.

Bordering on Romance
Good afternoon! Wow, the past two days have been super busy. A good busy though, the past two mornings I have had ladies come in and stamp with me and I have enjoyed it tremendously. Today's card is another Thinking of You and I used the stamp set Bordering on Romance. I just love this trendy flower design. I used DSP from both the Domestic Goddess and the Attic Boutique collections. The card stock colors are Basic Gray, Pool Party, Whisper White, and So Saffron. Thanks for stopping by.
I have heard from all but two who ordered the Occasions Class by mail, let me know if you want to participate this month.

On the Grow
Good afternoon! Today I have another card from my Occasions class using the stamp set On the Grow. I am trying to pull out some stamps that I have been neglecting and this is one of them. We used blender pens to color the image, very quick and easy card. Thanks for stopping by!

For the Love of Daisies
Good afternoon, hope your weekend is going great! Today I have a large rosette made with the Designer rosette die in the Occasions Mini. I love daisies so I added them to the middle. This is 10 inches wide so I am going to attach a ribbon to it and hang it in my kitchen window since there are no real daisies blooming in my backyard yet. Thanks for stopping by!

Ready for Spring
Good afternoon! I am so ready for Spring, it isn't that our winter has been so bad but I am just ready for consistent warm weather, flowers blooming, and just the good feeling that Spring brings. The project I have today was inspired by a similar one I saw on Pinterest(love that site). I think they used mini cupcake liners but I found these little medicine cups in bulk a while back and bought them not really knowing what I might use them for. Wouldn't these look cute on as table favors for an outside Spring luncheon. I used to have a neighbor when we lived in Virginia who would have the most elegant little luncheons outside under the enormous trees in her back yard and these remind me of the decorations she would have sometimes.
Just a reminder, it is time for the Occasions class by mail. Let me know if you want to participate this month.

Every Bunny
Good morning! I have started to concentrate on Easter projects since I will have a booth at The Pink Event, a fundraiser for Cancer. It is a fun event with entertainment, luncheon, a style show, and vendors. If you live locally and would like to come it will be on March 10 from 10:00-1:00 at the SIC Foundation Building and the cost is $20.00.
I used the stamp set Every Bunny for the treat project today. I was so excited to see this set in the main catalog and bought it immediately even though it would be 8 months until Easter. So, you will probably be tired of seeing it before I have to put it away.
ps you can still order these 1x8 cellophane bags even though they aren't in a catalog right now, the item number is 124134.

Blog Candy Winner
Good morning! I want to thank all who left comments while I was gone. The winner of the Baker's Twine is Kathy Mc. Kathy please send me an email with your address and I will get that in the mail to you. We had an awesome mini vacation . The girls had a blast and Dalton loved it too.
Today's project is a card using the cute stamp set, Heaven Blessed. I love the little boy in this set, he reminds me so much of Dalton. The card stock colors are pretty in pink and certainly Celery, my favorite Spring colors. I also used some Pretty in Pink scalloped ribbon which I had forgotten I had. Sorry the photo seems a little blurred, you can click on it to enlarge. Thanks for stopping by!

Because I Care
Good morning! I just had to show you a photo of Dalton "at work". I was very busy a few days ago and Dalton got a little too quiet and I couldn't see him from where I was working so I asked him what he was doing, His answer was "I'm working"(wonder where he has heard this before:). When I checked on him, I found out that his "work" involved a little stamping. I don't know if you can tell but he had rubbed a pink ink pad on his face and the the table and the chair and the floor and several projects that I had made. If he didn't have those cute dimples when he smiles I might have been upset!
For today's card I used my favorite stamp set right now, Fresh Vintage. The best part is that it is FREE with a $50.00 order during SAB. The DSP is retired but I wanted something bright and cheery on this rainy day. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Valentines Day!
Good morning and Happy Valentines Day! Yesterday was get it done day as far as Valentines Day. I knew what I decided to make for Sadie's classmates would have to be quick and easy so I had a sample that a friend gave me and decided to give it a try. I love it! So easy, just cut the DSP and a few scores and folds and it is ready to decorate. It makes two pockets for holding treats. On the front I added a heart which I cut out with the Heart Framelit Die and then added a smaller punched heart and the sentiment. I made 24 in about two hours so that is a record time for me. Make sure you give a lot of "I Love You's" to the ones you love today!

Sweet Raccoon
Good afternoon! Isn't this little raccoon the cutest! I saw it here and knew I would have to give it a try. He is actually a little treat holder, a chocolate nugget is hiding behind him. If you would like to make one, come to my punch class tomorrow!

Sent With Love
Good evening! Sorry for the late post today, it has been a hectic day. Today's project is very simple, it took less than 5 minutes. The doily is from the Flirtatious Specialty paper. You get a 12x12 sheet of Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie with these beautiful intricate doilies but this is actually the back side. I ran the Real Red layer through the Big shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder, stamped the greeting from the P.S.I Love You set, added a few pearls and it was done. Thanks for stopping by!

From My Heart to Yours
Good morning! Today's project is another Valentine. A very simple monochromatic card using the ink to embossing folder technique. You can add ink to the smooth side of your embossing folders and then run through to get a variation in color and it makes it show up better as well. The sentiment is from P.S.I love You stamp set and the DSP is retired. The card stock colors are Pretty in Pink and Very Vanilla. Thanks for stopping by!

Heart Pouch
Good morning! Today I have one of the projects from my Technique Class last night. I had so much fun. I really needed the laughing and sharing we did, I always look forward to the time spent with this group of ladies. I used the Petal Cone die to make this project. The DSP is Love Letter from last year and the card stock is Cherry Cobbler. For the tag I used the stamp set Greeting Card Kids. Thanks for stopping by!

Fashionable Hearts
Good evening! I have had a very busy day but not with stamping, Dalton has been here today and he is one busy two year old. He has pulled out things I haven't seen in years but my cell phone he lost wasn't one of them, he is a lot of fun but I am so tired I can hardly think. Today I have another Box # 2 project using the embosslit, Fashionable Hearts along with one of the embossing folders included in the Adorning Accents set. Very easy project but still not what I have in mind for the girls to give their treats in. Thanks for stopping by!

Love
Good morning! Today I have a Valentine box, I have been playing around with ideas of something to make for my girls to give out for a Valentine treat. This is not it but I still like it, not that it was a lot of work just took too long with coloring the image and time is one thing I am usually short of. I used the Box #2 die for the box and added a label over the top and fastened it down with Velcro. The sentiment is from the You Are Loved stamp set that is now retired. Thanks for stopping by!
