More Amore
Good afternoon! Today's project is a Valentine card using the More Amore Specialty DSP. You get two 12x12 pages of these gorgeous hearts, one in red and this one in Primrose Petals. The rest of the package is made up of designs using Pool Party, Primrose Petals, and Real Red images on a Very Vanilla background. I also used another new product, Designer Builder Brads, and they are sooo cute. I punched out a piece if Designer Paper with the tiny heart on it to add to the center. These new products will be available for order starting Jan. 3rd.
We have had the most beautiful snowfall here in Southern Illinois. We got 12-14 inches the first day and then last night got another 4-6 inches. The kids have enjoyed it a lot since we didn't get any snow last year and not very much in 2010. They built a huge snowman and have had several snow ball fights. Dalton looked out the window this morning and came running to tell me...."Mommy, it is Christmas outside"! Below is photos looking out my front window. It looks like we are out in the country but we actually live in a subdivision but the houses aren't close together.

Thanks a Ton!
Good morning! Today as I look back at the rushed few weeks before Christmas, I have to say that it was well worth it. If we could just keep that Christmas "feel good" feeling all year I think we would be so much better. Today I have a card with some of the items in the upcoming Spring Mini catalog. I just love this little whale cut with the Happy Whale Clearlit die. It comes with the whale and five other small images and matches the Oh, Whale stamp set. The DSP is from the Sunshine and Sprinkles collection. I used Marina Mist and Melon Mambo card stock. Thanks for stopping by!

First Christmas
Merry Christmas! I hope that you are surrounded by friends and family and that you enjoy this day. But most of all, I hope that today you are able to celebrate because you personally know the person whom we celebrate today. I made 10 of these Fancy Favor boxes and filled them with goodies for the kids to give to their Sunday School teachers. Thanks for stopping by!
ps...my posts this past week were all scheduled, I have been home cooking and getting ready for today. Sorry if you dropped by and I missed you but will be back next week.

Moving On Birthday
Good morning! Today's project is another card using the set, Moving On. I forgot to mention the other day that when you purchase this stamp set, Stampin' Up! donates $3.00 to the Ronald McDonald House foundation. They have a set each year that is designated for this worthy cause and have donated a LOT of money over the years. For this card, I used Riding Hood Red, Whisper White, and So Saffron card stock and the DSP is from the Storytime Collection. Did you notice the Wild Wasabi anchor....that is part of the Happy Whale Clearlit die that is available in the Spring Mini Catalog....love this die and the stamp set and DSP that matches ! Thanks for stopping by!

happy birthday, cupcake!
Good morning! My house is full of excitement as we rapidly approach Christmas. Dalton told me last night that when we woke up Santa would be in bed with us. Not sure where he came up with that one, I have been telling him how we will wake up on Christmas morning and go downstairs and Santa will have brought him presents. I am pretty sure he doesn't remember anything from last Christmas so all this is new to him. He is loving Elf on a Shelf as is everyone in the house. My husband gets as much enjoyment as the kids when they go looking to see what the Elf has gotten into and I have to say he is a naughty little elf. But he is a good deterrent for bad behavior at least in the living room where he can see them misbehaving.
My card today is a Sneak Peek of some goodies available soon. The stamp set is called Patterned Occasions and from SAB. The DSP is from the Print Poetry collection which is a paper stack of 48 sheets that are 4 1/2 x 6 1/2. I used Very Vanilla, Summer Starfruit, Primrose Petals, and Raspberry Ripple card stock.

Moving Forward
Good morning! Hope all your Christmas shopping is done and you are relaxing today with a cup of your favorite warm winter drink.....not so for me, I still have shopping to do and cookies to bake and gifts to wrap and stockings to fill and Church services to attend and groceries to buy and a Christmas meal to plan. Oh, and cards to mail! But I will get it done! I have not been in the mood for Christmas cards as of late so I have begun planning for my Occasions Class next year and this set, Moving Forward, just called my name. It has some very cute images and can be used for birthday, thinking of you, or just to send a hello to a friend. I used a sneak peek at the cloud embossing folder from the Spring catalog as well as some new DSP from the Sunshine and Sprinkles Collection. Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas in the Air
Good morning! This was one of the tags available at my last class, I just love the vintage-y feel of it. Shellie Gardener posted one on her blog not long ago that was similar but I changed mine so much it is hardly like hers at all. I used the stamp sets, Heart of Christmas and You are Loved. The Tulle ribbon is so pretty and easy to work with. I did some piercing around the edges of the tag but it doesn't show up very well in the photograph. Gotta run, things to do and places to be!

Hearts a Flutter Banner
Good morning! I still need to make a few Christmas cards but I also want to play with my new Spring Mini things. So...I made a Christmas card using the Hears a Flutter Framelits as a banner. Very quick and easy to duplicate so I made a few. Thanks for stopping by!

Hearts a Flutter
Good evening! The title of my card really sums up my heart this past weekend. I have never had blood pressure problems in my life, in fact my BP is always low. But I guess I am getting old, my BP went critically high Saturday evening so I got to spend the weekend in the Cardiac ICU. The doctor started me on some medication and I feel much better. Better enough in fact, to make a few cards with all the new "stuff" I got to pre-order from the Spring Mini and SAB catalogs. I cut the biggest heart with the Hearts a Flutter framelit die, the next size was cut with the Heart of Hearts embosslit die, and the Real Red one was cut with a punch. I love all white cards, they can be made to look very elegant without a lot of work. I think this card could be used for Valentines Day, a wedding, or an anniversary. Thanks for stopping by!

Honeycomb Christmas
Good Monday morning! Today I have a Christmas card using the Honeycomb embossing folder from the Spring Mini catalog. Hexagons are big in the paper crafting world right now so I am glad SU gives us the new trendy stuff to create with. I had some ornament pieces left over from another project so I used them along with the Window Frames. I ran the Old Olive Polka Dot paper through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb e.f. and then cut out a few to fit inside the Real Red piece. Thanks for stopping by!

12 Days of Christmas Tags Day 12
Good evening! Today's tag was made with some of the card stock stickers that came in a Simply Scrapin Kit. Very quick and easy which is just what I need since the Holidays are quickly approaching. I have enjoyed doing the 12 Days of Tags and hope you liked them. Thanks for stopping by!

12 Days of Christmas Tags Day 11
Good morning! For today's tag I used the Bells and Boughs stamp set, this image is fun to color. The card stock color is Lucky Limeade and was cut with the Two Tags die. Busy day ahead, thanks for stopping by!
ps....Prayers going up for the people affected by the tragedy in Connecticut. As a parent of two children in school, I can not imagine the heartbreak they are experiencing. Help me to pray that God gives them the strength to endure their worst nightmare come true.

New Clearance Items
You have to check out the clearance rack, they have added tons of new items! I know a lot of my ladies like to get punches and they have several. Happy shopping!
12 Days of Christmas Day 10
Good morning! For today's tag I used the Merry Minis Punch Pack. I was glad to see that these punches will carry over so they will be available after January 2nd. I used the negative part of the punch and then punched around it with the one inch square and added DSP to the back. Very simple but cute as well.
While I was working on this tag, I got a phone call and when I came back Dalton was making a card.
He wouldn't let me take a photo of the finished product but I did snap a couple of the process without him knowing it. He said he was sending his card to Santa. Thanks for stopping by!

12 Day of Christmas Tags Day 9
Good afternoon! Today's tag was made with some SAB FREEBIES, the DSP is called Sycamore Street and is gorgeous. I thought the pattern in this one looked a little like one the ornaments in the Ornament Keepsakes set and just took a chance with Summer Starfruit combined with Island Indigo as Christmas colors. I like how it turned out. The O in JOY is one of the stamps from the Ornament Keepsakes. The ribbon is also a SAB FREEBIE and is in the Sycamore Street collection. Thanks for stopping by!

12 Days of Tags Day 8
Good morning! I saw this idea on Pinterest and had to do it. Love the simplicity of it so I made a bunch of these. I am off to spend the day with Dalton, not sure what we will get it to but whatever it is we will have fun. Thanks for stopping by!

Gift Certificates
Good morning again, I forgot to add this to my earlier post. Do you have a someone who is hard to buy for but would love something from Stampin' Up? Why not give them a gift certificate and I will put it in one of these cute little holders. These were made with the Scalloped Envelope Bigz die and are only about 2 1/4x3 inches. Did you notice the little Petite Curly Label punch in the center of the bigger Curly Label, I got that for FREE as part of Sale-a-bration. The stamp I used was also a FREE
SAB item and is called Petite Pretties. So, if you give someone a $50.00 gift certificate and they save it until January 22, they can pick out their own gift and get something from the SAB brochure for FREE and we all know FREE is always FUN!
Christmas Tags Day 7
Good morning! My photo looks a little washed out this morning but it is because of the sunshine so I am not complaining about that. The DSP color is actually Always Artichoke and is from a collection that retired a couple years ago. The doily was cut with the Delicate Doilies Sizzlit. The Real Red piece was punched with the 1 1/4 Scalloped Circle Punch and then I used the 1 inch and the 3/4 inch circle punches for the other pieces. Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Tags Day 6
Good morning! I had a really busy but enjoyable weekend with lots of Holiday happenings. Today's tag is one of my favorites, I got my Spring catalog/SAB preorder and it was very refreshing to use new stuff. The ribbon and buttons on this tag are SAB choices. If you aren't familiar with Sale-a-bration.....it starts January 22 and lasts until March 22, you can choose one item for FREE from the brochure for each $50.00 purchase from any other current SU catalog. FREE is always fun, if you need a SAB brochure or Spring catalog let me know. for my tag, I cut two Framelit sizes and used the Snow Much Fun stamp set. The color combination is Pool Party and Tangerine Tango. Warning, the rest of this post is about my kiddos so you can check out now if you want.
Now, onto some family fun! The girls grandparents came from Alabama to visit them and do Christmas with them. They always stay in a motel so they picked them up Saturday morning and brought them home late that night. They take them shopping for Christmas and let them buy all the things I won't let them buy! For example....tons of candy like giant suckers and a huge stash of bubblegum. Sadie came home with a Fortune Cookie maker, icee maker, and cake pop maker but Shelby did better, she bought a new comforter, sheets and a Nintendo DS. Then Sunday was nonstop, church in the morning and Christ Kids sang one song in worship, then hurry home to eat a quick lunch, Shelby's band and choir school performance at 2:00, then home to bake cookies for an event this week, then back to Church for Christ Kid's Musical. Sadie was a Wise-Woman since there wasn't enough boys to fill all the boy spots. The kids did an awesome job, it was cute and funny but the message was clear...Our Savior was born to answer Heaven's call.
I couldn't get a photo of Shelby, the place was packed and we had to sit too far away.
This is a photo of Sadie and two of her best friends. Notice the rabbit ears just barely peeking over Sadie's head, I think that was one of the Wiseboys.
Sadie and the Wiseboys as she calls them.

Christmas Tags Day 5
Good morning! Today's tag was made from the retired Stocking Die. I haven't seen this die used much this year but I still like it so have used it a lot. It makes the perfect tag to add to large packages. I have stamped To and From on the back.
I wanted to say a huge Thank You to everyone who attended the Ornament Class yesterday, I know it was long but I think it was worth it. I had a great time at both classes. Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Tags Day 4
Now I also have something else to share with you today. I am having a Bags and Tags class later this month and this is one of the items we will make.
I found these little paint cans at Target's dollar spot and bought all they had out that day. This is the front and i added a piece of retired DSP all the around and then snowflake with the Snowflake # 2 die.
This is the side view with a tea light snowman tied onto some retired ribbon. I first saw the tea light snowman on Pinterest and then on Becky Roberts blog.
And of course I had to decorate the lid as well.
And one more view of the snowman(before I added the jingle bell). Sorry for the long post but I just had to show you my decorated paint can. thanks for stopping by!

Dear Santa
Good morning! Today's project is a tag that you can hang on your door, it has a "Magic Key" attached. This is perfect if you don't have a chimney for Santa to enter through! I have made these for a couple years now and not sure where I got the poem but it very cute. You can click on the image to be able to read it. I used the retired stamp set, Dear Santa, and cut out the Top Note for the tag. I have had these at my craft shows and have sold out every time this year.
Now, on to a personal note. My Sadie told me this morning that she loved the musical they are doing at church. When I asked her why, she said because it tells the truth. I had to ask what she meant and she said that one line in one of the songs was the truth about Christmas..."He was born to answer Heaven's call". That was music to my ears! I feel like my biggest job as a Mom is to make sure my children have the information they need to make the decision to live their life for Christ and my girl is getting it!

Christmas Tags Day 2
Good morning! Today's tag is one of my favorites, I love gingerbread men. I have a lot of gingerbread men ornaments on my tree that I have collected through the years. This tag was done with mostly scraps left over from cards, I knew I saved all those scraps for a reason! I have been on a mission to use up a lot of the embellishments that I seem to buy and then never use so I added the little buttons and the little tie-on to the ribbon. Thanks for stopping by!
ps....all the tags featured will be available at my Tags and Bags class.

12 Days of Christmas Tags
Good afternoon! I am enjoying making tags and have a Tags and Bags class coming up so I am going to post a tag each day for the next 12 days. This one was inspired by one I saw done by Penny Smiley. I used the largest die in the Apothecary Accents Framelit collection and stamped it using one of the images from Watercolor Winter stamp set that is in the Holiday Mini. I stamped in Crumb Cake and Early Espresso. I used Crumb Cake Seam Binding ribbon along with Cherry Cobbler Scalloped Tulle and attached them with a Vintage Brad. Thanks for stopping by!

Scentsational Season
Good morning! I love this card, it turned out exactly like what I had in mind(except that the Framelit piece isn't "exactly" centered!). Believe me that doesn't happen often for me! My favorite punch right now is the 1 1/4 Scallop Circle Punch which is what I used to make the Lucky Limeade part of the sentiment. This card would be perfect to include with a gift such as coffee or cocoa or even tea. Gotta run, my today has way more on the list than can be accomplished.

Apothecary Tag
Good morning! Today I have a tag that I made with one of the dies from the Apothecary Accents collection. This will be one of the choices at my Tags and Bags class. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday To You
Good afternoon! I sneaked away a bit this morning to start my Christmas shopping, it was a very pleasant experience. I can't deal with the big crowds on the most popular shopping days, it just makes me frustrated and I like to have time to browse and look instead of being pushed along with the crowd. Anyway, I do have a project to share. This is a birthday card made as part of a special order for someone who likes turtles. I was going to attempt a punch turtle but ran short on time so inked this little guy up instead. I think about everything on this card is retired product but that doesn't bother me and it for sure didn't matter to the recipient. Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Gingerbread Men
Good morning! Today' project is a Christmas card using the Scentsational Season stamp set and coordinating Framelit dies. I haven't used this set much so that is my goal this week. The card stock colors are Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, and Cherry Cobbler and the DSP is from the Festival of Prints pack. Thanks for stopping by!

Snow Much Fun
Good Monday morning! Today's project is a card using the stamp set Snow Much Fun. I haven't used this set much this year so far and I needed a quick card so I pulled it out. I am also trying to use up some scraps and was able to use all leftovers on this card. Lots going on today, so gotta run!

Santa Ornaments
My project for today is a cute Santa(belly) ornament that I have been seeing around for a couple years. They are made from the clear ornaments you find at craft stores, just add Pledge floor wax/Future Shine to the inside, drain, add glitter, and decorate the outside. I found these tiny clear balls so had to give them a try as well. I didn't notice that they were iridescent until I got them home which makes the glitter look a little different but they are still cute. Thanks for stopping by!

Santa's Sleigh
Good morning! Today's project will be one of the choices of my upcoming Bags & Tags class. The sleigh was cut with a Sizzix die and then I added a few gifts made with the 1 inch square punch and the the Blossom punch. Here is a close up of the tag, I used the Snowflake die and cut it with Silver Glimmer Paper. The rosette is made from Be of Good Cheer DSP, a 1 1/4 scallop circle of Gumball Green, a 1 inch circle of Cherry Cobbler, and the sentiment is a 3/4 inch circle stamped from the Mixed Medley set. The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler 3 1/4 inch Scalloped Tulle Ribbon.
The bottom of the bag is covered with Wool Felt and I added some chunky glitter to make it look like snow drifts but the sleigh ended up covering most of it up. The top layer is DSP from Snow Festival.
Thanks for stopping by!

More Mittens
Good morning! Today I have another mitten card to share. I saw a card with this same design on Pinterest but with non SU products so I decided to make it using Stampin Up. I love how it turned out! I used some non-traditional colors(even some Halloween DSP) which is out of my comfort zone but the addition of the Cherry Cobbler made the difference. The Mitten builder Punch will not carry over from the Holiday Mini catalog so if it is on your list, you better get it before Jan 3. Thanks for stopping by!
