Vintage trucks have been popular this year, my neighbor has a very old black truck in her yard and she added a Christmas tree in the back of it. It has become a photo op this year, I know at least 300 families have stopped and taken their Christmas photo in front of it. I love watching them from across the street, especially the little kids who can't stand still long enough to get their picture taken. Thanks for stopping by!

Wonderful Christmas
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! My internet has been down for a week and just got it back on about 20 minutes ago. We had a wonderful day yesterday with all the kids and grandchildren, it was a house full which makes my heart happy. They each had an initial stocking...Joe, Heather, Shelby, Sadie, Chad, Katie, Ava, Riley, Seth, and Dalton.

Apple Cider
I can't seem to stay on a blogging schedule lately. My husband has been sick and we have had to travel to Kentucky to see the doctor with him nearly everyday for the past two weeks. I had my craft show this past weekend and it was wonderful to see so many of my customers and catch up with them. This little pouch holds an Apple Cider mix. I made them in red with a green apple as well but they sold out so I don't have one to show you. Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of You
Today I have a very clean and simple card, just realized I had sold all my sympathy and thinking of you cards and with a craft show coming up had to get some made. I also used this one for yesterday's card class.

Hello Friend
Good Thursday morning! I pass by an older ladies house every day on my way to work who has a lot of yard ornaments but one caught my eye...it was a colorful tin rooster. I have admired the rooster for some time and one day last week she was out in her yard so I stopped to chat with her. She said she found the rooster in the some trash someone had set out for pickup. It was rusty but she thought maybe she could fix it up with a little paint, and she did! I offered to buy it from her but she didn't want to part with it. Now, this lady is probably at least 80 years old and she rides a scooter around town with her white ponytail flying in the wind...love it!

Merriest Wishes
Hope you enjoy this simple Christmas card.
Sorry I have been absent so long. My girls are on Fall Break and are home so I have been busy with them plus they have both had birthdays to celebrate. Shelby turned 20 on October 3rd and Sadie turned 15 on October 4th. My oldest daughter, Heather, also has a birthday coming up on October 19. When Sadie was being born it was almost midnight and the doctor asked Shelby if she wanted her sister to share her birthday and Shelby said no so he slowed the deliver so that Sadie would be born on the 4th.

Detailed Deer
Here in Southern Illinois deer hunting is a very popular sport, so much in fact the schools allow for deer days during deer season for those who hunt. We live in a subdivision and it is not unusual to see 3-4 deer in our back yard every day. I have made several of these cards for my Fall craft shows since they are always popular. Thanks for stopping by!

Farmhouse Christmas
Love, love, love this stamp set! It is a lot of die cutting to achieve this but so worth it. My favorite image is the truck of course because my Dad had a truck like this. Thanks for stopping by!

Fall Birthday
Today I have a Fall card. I love Fall especially if I get to go "home" to Eastern Kentucky during this time of year. I had a trip planned but not going to make it this year, my doctor doesn't want me driving that far by myself (I have a sneaky suspicion that my husband had something to do with it as well). If you have never seen the Appalachian mountains during fall, you should make that trip...it is beautiful. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Fall
We have had a beautiful Fall morning here in Southern Illinois, I sat outside and ate my cereal for breakfast and watched the birds come and eat their breakfast. Love the combination of Cajun Craze and Blackberry Bliss together. Thanks for stopping by!

Fall is in the Air!
I saw a card similar to this on Pinterest done by Julie Scapara and made this 3-d version for the craft show I do each Fall. I really like how they turned out. I have made 9 so far and added miniature Hershey Bars in them. Thanks for stopping by!

Making Christmas Bright
Have you started thinking about Christmas yet? I usually start my Christmas classes in July so that we can get enough cards made before December. I start out with simple cards and try to make them more elaborate as December gets closer. I really like this one, very clean and simple since the bulbs are made with a punch which is much faster than die cutting each one. Thanks for stopping by!

You Can Do Hard Things
This is one of the cards we made at a recent class and I think it was a bit of a challenge with all the little pieces for some of the ladies. I love intricate, tedious things but not everyone does so I will have to take that into account next time. Thanks for stopping by!

Feel Better
I love the Petal Promenade DSP but wasn't sure what to do with this particular piece....I think it turned out good though.
Today was first day of school for my kiddos. Dalton never smiles nor poses for pictures but Ava loves getting her picture taken. I think these photos reflect how different their personalities are.
He really knows how to smile, I have seen him do it but not for the camera, that silly boy!

Christmas Cheer
A clean and simple Christmas card for today. I am a little behind on starting my Christmas cards, I usually start them in July but too much going on this year. My Shelby came home for the weekend to visit with her grandparents from Alabama. Although she spent most of her time with them, it was comforting knowing she was upstairs in her bed at night and Sadie was VERY happy to see her. Sadie has missed her the most but she will start back to school tomorrow so that will help hopefully. Thanks for stopping by!

Back to School
These are made by Little Debbie. I have been a terrible blogger lately mostly due to getting my Shelby off to college...she is only two hours away but it has been a hard two weeks of not seeing her every day. I miss her so much! My Sadie goes to High School this year and Dalton and Ava are in 3rd grade and at the Intermediate School...lots of changes and adjustments for all of us. thanks for stopping by!

To See Far is One Thing...
This stamp set, Lilypad Lake is in my top five as far as favorites from the annual catalog. The sentiment on the inside says "to go there is another. I am working on getting 25 of these done to donate to the Cancer Center Gift Shop. Thanks for stopping by!

Picnic
This stamp set brought back some very good memories from my childhood. There was an older lady, named Rada Day who lived in our community who had only boys but had always wanted a girl, she was also our mail carrier. My sister and I used to wait by the road for her to drop off the mail each day so we got to know her. We grew up in Eastern Kentucky and we had very little opportunity to do anything "extra". Rada would drop off boxes of magazines at our mailbox when she was through reading them or she would put fresh peaches or apples in our mailbox sometimes. We loved it and when she asked our Dad if we could come to her house for a sleepover, you would of thought we were heading to Disney World we were so excited. She had big plans too... we had a picnic on the veranda wearing fancy hats, painted pictures, cut flowers from her garden and had a lesson on flower arranging, and cooked a big meal which we ate on her "fancy china". Rada has been gone for a long time but I will never forget her.

Back to School
It's almost back to school time. Most years I have been anxious for school to start but this year my Shelby will be in another state attending college and my Sadie will be starting High School and Dalton will be at the Intermediate School. Ava is the only one staying at the same school for another year.....hard on me seeing them growing up so fast.

Sunny Days Ahead!
I stopped at a lemonade stand one day last week which reminded me that I had not ever inked this stamp set up. The kids at the stand were so excited as I was their first customer so I bought me a lemonade and then went home and got my girls and made them go buy some as well. It wasn't the best lemonade I ever had but I enjoyed watching the kids have fun.

Thanks a Latte #2
Today I have another coffee card to share. I am still working on craft show projects and am actually making progress. Last year was such a disappointment because I was going through Radiation treatments and didn't even get to be there. Thankfully my sisters and daughters set up my booth and took turns working it for me. They did a wonderful job but I was so disappointed not being there, I have many customers that come every year and I enjoy seeing them and chatting with them.
