Hello Fall
I love the colors of Fall and the cooler weather makes it even better. I grew up in the mountains of
Eastern Kentucky and if you have never experienced a Fall there, you really should! But be prepared to fall in love with the area because it is truly magnificent. I am homesick just from thinking about being there. Thanks for stopping by!

WIth Sympathy
I just found out last week that a very good friend passed away. I was friends with her sister as well and actually graduated with her sister. I wasn't able to go to her service since I didn't find out in time and it would have been an eight hour drive.

Thinking of You
Today's card is one from yesterday's card class. I had a question recently from someone wanting to know if I sold cards and shipped through the mail. Yes, I do ship. I also have a shop where I sell cards locally as well as hold card classes weekly. Thanks for stopping by!

I don't think it's a secret how munch I enjoy daisies, even more now that we have a smaller daisy punch that goes with the Daisy Lane stamps. I am trying to use up some of the retired DSP that I have collected as well.

Thinking of You
Love this Daisy punch, I have used it more than any of the punches I have. I made this same card with all the colors from the Gingham DSP.

Words Can't Express
I needed a sympathy card last week and the person I sent it too loves to do calligraphy so I chose this
sentiment since it looks somewhat like calligraphy. Thanks for stopping by!

Daisies are my favorite flowers and I love how this card turned out by just using leftover pieces from other projects.

Vacation is Over
We had an amazing vacation! The weather was perfect and for the first time in several years all of the big kids were able to get off work at the same time and go with us. There was 11 of us all together. Our condo was perfect and the weather was beautiful.
I am trying to use up some of the paper that I have hoarded to make room for some new designs. This one was a favorite so I bought a lot of it but I think this is the last of it. Thanks for stopping by!

It's a Dog's Life
I made this card for my Sadie, she is the dog lover in our family....me, I can do without any pets at all...thankfully she chose a small dog, a Maltipoo. She named him Charlie and he loves her as much as she loves him. He may be small but he protects her and if he doesn't want you in her room, you best not try to go in. I opened her door to take her laundry to her and thought I was going to be attacked. Thanks for stopping by!

Congratulations!
I don't have anyone graduating this year except for a great niece who is going to nursing school but I got a request to make 6 graduation cards for a grandmother who has 6 grandchildren graduating this year, two from college and 4 from High school!

You've been on my mind
I am a terrible blogger these days...just got too much going on I guess. My favorite flower is the Daisy and I plant some every year only to have them "accidently" mowed by my husband so this year I decided to pot them instead. So far they have been ok but the problem with potting them is they get dry quick and are easily knocked over. I guess I will just have to be satisfied with paper daisy's for now.

Frog Birthday
Good morning! Me and my kiddos are in Dollywood for a few days. Sadie is in the school band and they are in a competition here. We used to live in this area and took the older kids multiple times during the summer but the younger ones have never been so they are very excited about it. It's a lot of walking for me but hopefully I can keep up with them. Thanks for stopping by!

He Brought Hope
Today I have another Easter card using the Crosses of Hope dies. I love this time of the year because of what Easter really means. Through His death, burial, and resurrection Jesus brought hope of everlasting life to anyone who asks for it. He had no sin but took on the sins of the world. If you don't have this Hope in your life and would like to know more, I would be happy to tell you more!

Happy Easter
Today's card is one of the three we made yesterday at the Easter class. I loved Easter as a child mostly because my grandfather made such a big deal about it. He loved to hide the eggs and watch us hunt for them. One year my uncle who was always playing pranks asked if he could hide them. We hunted for 20 minutes and no one had found a single egg so my grandfather asked him where he had hidden them. He finally showed us after having a good laugh, they were in a flower pot on the front porch. He had eaten several of them and spread the egg shells along the path up to where they were but we never noticed since my grandfather always hid them in the grass in the yard.

Bunnies
Easter is late this year but I have started some projects because I just love everything about Easter especially the true meaning of it. I made these with one little girl in mind...Little Miss Riley...my 2 year old grandchild. She came to visit me this morning and we had fun exploring my shop while she ate M&M's and pointed at everything and asked "what's that?" Love my sweet girl!

Tea Together
Sorry I have neglected my blog so much lately, lots going on in my little world. My cousin passed away from lung cancer for one thing and I was gone for a few days for his funeral. I have missed my Shelby tremendously since she went to college so I went to visit her for a few days. Hopefully I can get back on track now and get back to stamping more often. Thanks for stopping by!

Project Life
Today's card was made using one of the cards from Project Life. I use these cards in some of my scrapbook pages as well as card making. I needed something quick to add to a baby gift for a new mother and this card was it. She had used yellow for her shower invitations and the couple had decided not to find out the sex of the baby so I went with it! Thanks for stopping by!

Let it Ride
Love this sentiment from the Let it Ride stamp set. We always had horses growing up, my dad taught us how to take care of them at a very young age. We had one horse that would walk into the house if he saw an open door.

Happy Birthday
Love this rooster stamp! It brings so many fond childhood memories to mind of growing up on a farm. My husband and I bought a 100 acre farm once when our kids were little thinking that it would be just perfect for them ...but we forgot to factor in that we now lived 40 minutes from their school, doctors offices, dance class, baseball practice, sleepovers with friends, grocery stores...so we sold the farm and moved into town after about a year. The kids still talk about how much fun the farm was.

I have two classes coming up for Valentines soon, one for a local Library and one for a Retirement Facility. I enjoy going out of my shop occasionally to do classes especially for places like nursing homes and retirement homes.

Beautiful Butterflies
Sorry this photograph is so dark, we have had several gloomy days here in Southern Illinois. This was the best one out of 6 tries to get a good photo. The butterflies are cut from the DSP so made for a quick and easy card.

Birthday Gummy Bears
I love this bright DSP from the Occasions catalog and the little gummy bears are adorable. Sorry I have been so lax in blogging but I have had a lot going on....my Shelby is home from college for Christmas break so I am spending as much time with her as I can and I had Ava and Dalton a lot during Christmas and Little Miss Riley(age 2) came to visit and rearrange my cabinets for me a few times. Lots of cooking and baking required when they are all there not to mention the spills, arguments to be settled, kissing boo boos well, keeping up with who is next to play the new electronics, keeping the dog away from the Christmas tree and the presents, taking Sadie and all her friends to the movies, bowling, and Walmart and you can't even imagine the noise level much less the laundry that accumulates when they are all there. But, I love and cherish every minute of it! Even so, I did a happy dance when school started back!
