Happy Easter

Good evening!  I hope you have had a wonderful Easter today.  We have had a fun weekend, the kids dyed their eggs and decorated them yesterday while I baked Resurrection rolls.  Dalton doesn't remember Easter from last year so he is full of excitement about every aspect.  I used Resurrection eggs last night to tell them the Easter story and when we got to bed Dalton wanted more stories about Jesus.  His favorite is the creation story and knows it really well.  thanks for stopping by!

All Dressed Up

Good morning!  I finally finished all my Easter projects and had a little time to play with the All Dressed Up framelits.  I love these little dresses.  I made three and put them on this cute display and five minutes later a lady came into my shop and bought all three of them so I made three more.

This is made with the scalloped Crumb Cake tulle.  The Cherry Cobbler one is just like this one, my photo blurred so I will have to retake it.

Bunny Treats

Good morning!  Today's project was made with the treat cups.  I made 22 for a customer last week and 10 today.  I have finished the last of my custom orders, now I can start on treats for Sunday School classes.  My girls are on Spring Break next week and we have a lot of fun things planned so I probably won't get much stamping done.  Thanks for stopping by!

Yes!!!  I am so happy that SU stays up with trends.  I have been so tempted to buy myself a Smash Book but I told my daughter just recently, "Surely SU will offer them in the next catalog" and guess what they are!  But, what is even better is that they aren't waiting until the next catalog, you can order them now.  I saw one up close and personal at regionals and came home and ordered three, one for me and each of my girls.

Trisomy 21

Good morning!  Today is 3/21 and I am celebrating with my nephew Jamie.  If you aren't familiar with Trisomy 21, I'll explain.  Somy means gene and we all have 2 copies of every gene that makes up who we are but in Downs Syndrome or Trisomy 21 there are three copies of gene 21.  It can cause mild to severe retardation as well as heart and lung  problems and other health issues.  Jamie has been the biggest blessing our family has ever had, just the thought of him always brings a smile to my face and when I am around him I am happy.  He loves music and sings and plays several instruments, his favorite is the guitar.  Jamie was certainly no mistake, God knew we needed him in our lives.  I love you Jamie Bush!

Good morning!  I have been playing with the All Dressed Up dies, I am so glad I bought them.  I have so many ideas of things to make such as ballet tutus and wedding dresses and dresses with jackets just to name a few.  These will be perfect for scrap book pages and cards.  for this one, I cut three dresses in Whisper White and then cut 2 of them down so I could add the layers to get the longer length.  Sorry the photo is not the best but all white is hard for me.

Happy Spring

Spectacles

Good morning!  Spectacles...that is what my grandfather called them and when I got new ones recently I told my girls this and they thought it was funny, so that is the new "hot" word around our house right now.  I saw this idea of adding the googly eyes and the nose  by Linda Callahan on  Stampin' Connection(a website for demonstrators) and loved it.  This stamp isn't in a catalog right now but is available as a Single Stamp and can be found here .

Good afternoon!  I am frantically trying to get ready for The Pink Event which takes place on Saturday.  there is so many things I would like to accomplish but it is doubtful that it will happen.  Today's project was made with the All Dressed Up framelit dies(which I said I wasn't going to buy because I didn't need them....but as you can see I changed my mind).   The DSP is retired, I have used every piece of pink I have. 

Yesterday I had to do something that I have been dreading.  I had to register my Shelby for High School(:  I can't believe she is going to be 15 in October, where did the time go.  Thanks for stopping by!

 Good Monday morning!  I just love decorating paint cans to hold treats.  I have an event coming up soon so I am trying to get several of these made.  I used the Everybunny stamp set to decorate the Label framelit.  The trim is Daffodil Delight and is retired.

Guess what today's post is......#1000!  It is hard to believe I have been doing this since 2008.  It has been wonderful getting to know people from all over the world, even though we may never meet in person I count them as friends.

Good morning!  I am working from home today because the kids are out of school since our high school basketball team is playing  for state championship.  Since I am home, I can't give you the details of this card because I don't even keep a catalog at home.  The kids have planned us a full day though....Dalton wants to go to the park, Shelby wants to sleep in and then go shopping, and Sadie wants to go to Extreme Kids(a gym for kids with inflatables).  Me, I really need to catch up on laundry but I will suppose I will be chasing after the kiddos and trying to keep up.  Thanks for stopping by!

Good morning!  I apologize for how light my photo turned out, but the Pink Pirouette is light anyway.  The sentiment says Happy Birthday.  I stamped the flowers in VersaMark and then embossed in white, it gives the card a very dainty appearance.

Good morning! Aren't these little bunnies so cute.  I always look forward to bunnies hopping through my backyard in Spring.  We live next to a large open field that has a mass of blackberry vines in it and that is where the bunnies live.  The kids love seeing them and last year on Easter one was just outside the window(you can imagine the excitement).  I colored my bunnies to match the DSP which is part of the Bandstand Simply Scrappin' Kit.  The grass border is actually Old Olive Scalloped Dots Ribbon.  The Ears to You stamp is available as a single stamp.

Peas and Carrots

Good afternoon!  We have a new Saturday morning routine at our house and it has really thrown me off.  Sadie's dance class is now at 9:45 and Dalton's gymnastics class is at 10:00.  It will help having them on the same day but is going to take some better planning than I did this week.  I made some of these bunny treats last year and they have been very popular on Pinterest.  I found the Jelly Belly peas and carrots at the Dollar Tree this year which will make them less expensive to make.  I have to make at least 50 for Sunday School classes and Dalton's play group class.  Thanks for stopping by!

Baby Girls

 

 Good afternoon!  I have finished both the baby showers I have been working on.  I wasn't real fond of the Petite Purse die before and although I love the finished product, it was challenging.  Maybe it is just because my hands have a lot of arthritis and putting the handle on was hard for me.  I put two wrapped Hershey nuggets in each purse.  The DSP is some zebra print I have had for a long time, I just used pink markers to color it.

 

 And here is the second one.  For this one I used the Two Tags die and glued two of them together and formed a little holder for one Hershey nugget.  I have seen these on a lot of blogs but I'm not sure where it originated.
