Good afternoon, hope your day is going good. I have been busy all day with laundry, I don't how a family of 5 can dirty so many clothes in a week, 14 loads today. Today I am sharing a project that didn't hardly turn out as well as I wanted it to but this is all I have for today. This is a little tool box, I used the Box #2 die and the stamps are from Totally Tool which is a very cute masculine stamp set. I sponged all the edges on the box to make them look "dirty". The saw was actually stamped twice once on the real red and once on white and cut out. I colored it with copics. The top of the tool box has a handle which is hard to see but I made it with the word window punch and the brads that hold it on are the shapes of screws. I know my sentiment is not straight but this is it for today. The sentiment says "you came, you sawed, you fixed, thanks for all you do". You can click on the picture to enlarge it.

Lion Party Favor
Good evening, I am late posting today..so much going on here, Sadie had her end of school picnic today and I was in charge of getting the food together for 190 people. We had pizza, chips, cookies, and soft drinks. It was a lot of fun but now it means she goes to kindergarten in the fall and I am certainly not ready for that.
Today's project is a little lion made from our SU punches and glued onto a matchbox. I got the idea from Angie Juda on her Chic n' Scratch blog. I thought this would be such a cute party favor for an animal themed birthday party, inside the box is all the punched out pieces for the child to assemble another lion. I have a few ideas for some more animals which I am working on and will share soon.

Thank You
I wanted to say Thank you to Jayne and Sarah for their email orders, they both took advantage of my free shipping offer this month. Also thanks to Belinda, Darlene, Jona, and Sue for ordering the Card Kit of the Month. Everyone except Sue should have theirs already and Sue yours went out on Saturday. A reminder that you can still order the kit until June 1, you will get all the pre-cut materials to make 8 cards for $15.00. You will not get the stamped image but just about any sentiment you already have should work. I accept Paypal or personal check and you can contact me by email to order. New kit starting in June.
Bella Bleu Friend
I love how these cards turned out. It's a little hard to see because of the shadow but the bottom of the Not Quite Navy layer has the same scallop as the Kraft and Bella Bleu layers. This scallop was made using the Top Note die, I used the wide side and lined the paper up just inside the cut marks on the sides and then started it through the machine but just for a little ways and then backed it back out. Also, another hint about why I have two of the same card pictured, I always make two of every card...one to send and one to keep in my stash or to show to my classes.
REMINDER: The SU special on Designer paper ends very soon and the In Colors will be gone after June 30 so now is the time to stock up on paper, ink pads, and re-inkers. If you would like to order you can click on my Order Now button or contact me by e-mail.

Rock a bye Baby
Hope you have had a relaxing Memorial Day and weekend. We have done nothing but eat and the girls have hardly gotten out of the pool all weekend. We almost always go out of town when the girls are out of school for a long weekend and it felt good to just be at home and rest.
Today I want to show you the invitations I made for my son Seth and Danielle's baby shower. I used the Sizzix scallop circle from SU and the stamp set Nursery Necessities. I stamped the boat in all three colors and then cut it out and glued it to the card. They were easy to make but a little time consuming.

Last Daisy
Ok, I know what you are saying..."She only has one die", the daisy, but honestly I have more it is just that I love the Daisy. This is the last project using it though for at least a little while unless I can't help myself. This is a card to go with the project from yesterday. Everything is pretty straight forward on how it it made except for the sentiment. I stamped it three times and used the small and large oval and the scallop oval punches to punch out the layers and then stack them back into one with all three colors...pretty cool, huh! You can't see from my terrible photo but the stamp from Oval All which is in the Occasions Mini catalog is designed to be used with these punches and you get a little bit of stamped image with each punch.

Time for Lemonade
Today I have another daisy project for you, this one is a glass jar filled with lemonade mix. After all what says summer more than lemonade. I also made a tag for the jar but did this after the picture was taken. I used the lemon/orange image from the set Tart and Tangy for the tag. Come back tomorrow for one more daisy project.

Summer Tote
I love this color combination..kiwi kiss, summer sun, and pumpkin pie...it boldly says SUMMER which is what I am ready for! I have to give credit to Sandi Macgiver for coming up with these daisy projects using this color combo. I made the same little tote that I made in yesterday's post except the handle is a little different. Wait until you see what else I have made to go along with it. Only thing is you will have to wait until tomorrow.

Scallop Circle Purse
Yesterday was a very productive day for stamping. I am actually about 3 projects ahead and it feels great. I made half of the baby shower invitations my son asked for, 3 teacher thank you gifts, and a few other things. Today I am sharing this cute little purse. It is made using the scallop circle Sizzix die and the Daisy #2 die. The paper is from Raspberry Tart, I am trying to use up some of my paper I have been hoarding since SU has a buy 3 get 1 free going on DP. Did you notice the cord button, I have more colors ordered and can't wait to get them. See you tomorrow, I am going outside to play!

Fifth Avenue Floral
Hope you are having a great Monday, I am, the sun is shining, I feel good, and I have several loads of laundry behind me and now I can play. I went to our monthly Upline technique class Saturday (after my own technique class) and I wanted to share the cards we made. Two of the ladies made cards with the set Fifth Avenue Floral set and even used papers from the Urban Oasis DP and it wasn't even planned. All I need to do now is make a couple more and a box for them and will have a boxed set. I really liked all three cards and I will show you the other one tomorrow. The one using the water colored rose was made by Jan and you should visit her blog at creativestampingwithjan.com . The other card was made by Wendy.

Roses for me
Yeah, I finally got my computer working! Sadie has her own playlist on my computer and I downloaded her music but evidently she wanted new music so she decided to download it herself. Well, I don't know how she did but she changed every setting on the computer, I had to practically reload the whole thing. I think it is probably time to get her a computer of her own!
For today I am sharing a photo of what I see outside my window as I sit here and type. Aren't they beautiful!
I have see so many pretty cards using the Fifth Avenue Floral but it just wasn't one of my favorites. I bought it when it first came out but just hadn't used it much. Now , that my roses are blooming, I had to give it a try. I am not satisfied with what I came up with so I am still working on it but thought I would share what I have so far.
Click on image to see it larger.
I am going to go back and add some layers to my rose, I'll share that when I get it done. I first stamped the flower images in Whisper White craft ink on shimmery white card stock and embossed with clear embossing powder. Next I misted my image and then used re-inkers and my aqua painter to color in. I know layers will make it look better. Also, this is a bigger card than I usually make, it is 4 1/2 x 6 3/4. The colors on the card are So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, and Certainly Celery. The Designer paper is Walk in the Park from the Occasions Mini. Don't forget all DP is buy three and get one free. Email me if you need to order.

Friend to Friend
My computer has been down for the past few days because a certain little 5 year old decided to download music and now I can't get anything to upload from my camera. Today's post is something I made last month and decided it was not a good enough photo to put on my blog but it's all I have so here it is. I used pink pirouette and pretty in pink papers. The stamps are Pocket Silhouette and the sentiment says "friend to friend". I have several projects for Father's Day to show you when I get my computer to upload.
This is the culprit! I know what you are thinking...how can anyone this cute be so rotten? Well, take it from me...she is bad!

The template for this butterfly box is available on Splitcoast SU Demo site under "wicked" challenges. The Bigz Beautiful Butterfly Sizzix die which is a SU exclusive die works perfectly with this box. Here is a link to the blog I first saw the box on http://flowerbug.typepad.com/myweblog. I love anything done with the Daisy die so of course I had to give it a try.

Top Note trinket box
Hope you are having a relaxing Saturday. I certainly am, no running around for today, we did drive to Evansville but it was an enjoyable trip. I had to buy ballet tights for my girls, they will be having dance recital soon and of course they have grown AGAIN! Toy also took me to Olive Garden for lunch so it was a good trip. Today I am sharing a little trinket box I made a few days ago using the Top Note die and the Matchbox die (both exclusive SU dies from Sizzix). I cut four boxes and sleeves and glued them together, then cut a band to go around all four. Then glued a Top Note to the top and bottom. I glued beads on the drawers and on the bottom. I like it and thought it would be cute in a doll house as a little chest or to set on a desk for trinkets.

Stationary Gift Set
Here is an open view.
Here is a view of the outside with a card in one of the pockets.
I have seen a lot of these stationary sets on different blogs, I think Becky Roberts has a good tutorial on her Inking Idaho blog on these. They are a lot of fun and I think they would make good gifts. It has 3 pockets, two on the outside to hold cards and 1 on the inside to hold envelopes. I also altered a paper pad and an ink pen to match the cards.

Wonderful Aunt
Is there a lady in your life who has been as close to you as a mother? If there is don't forget her on Mother's Day! My mother died when I was 24, just a few months after I had given birth to my second child and I needed someone I could turn to for advice, to complain to, to just go to for all the things Moms do. That person was my husband's sister, Aunt Dolly. She and my mom were about the same age and since my kids called her Aunt Dolly that's what I always called her too. I made this card for her.
I used the scallop circle Sizzix die. I folded my card stock and placed the fold just about 1/8 inch below the cutting edge so that I cut a full card with a small fold at the top. To cover the flat edge at the top, I cut another scallop circle and cut the center out and glued it on the card. I just love my Daisy die, can you tell?

Teacher Appreciation
This is Teacher Appreciation week at my girls schools and I have been busy today making little treat boxes to give to the teachers. I used the Matchbox Die which is a SU exclusive Sizzix die and the Sizzix Box #2. I like both these boxes, they go together really quick and look so cute with just a little embellishment. The Matchbox hold 4 nuggets which I wrapped in matching paper and in the Box #2 I put mints.
Thank yous
Thanks to Gina, Dorie, and Betsy for Kit of the Month orders and to Angie and Monica for e-mail orders. Dorie and Gina yours have been mailed and Betsy yours will go out today. Angie and Monica I have submitted your orders to SU. Thanks again and you have all been added to the drawing for the Stamp of the Month.

Z card
This is the inside
This is the front.
I have seen these cards all over, I don't know exactly what they are called but I call them Z cards since they kinda resemble a Z. I started with a piece of card stock 8 1/2 by 5 1/2, scored it at 2 1/8 and 4 1/4 and folded the score lines one on the other. I then stamped the tree from the set Thoughts and prayers. I mounted it so that only half was fastened to the first flap. On the inside I used another size rectangle and stamped the sentiment. I really like how it turned out.

Flowers for Mom
The inspiration for today's card comes from a card by Becky Roberts which you can see on her blog http://inkingidaho.blogspot.com . I cut out a top note and embossed it. I used the Big Shot and the Daisy #2 die to cut three sizes of daisies which it sponged with So Saffron ink. The center of the daisy is also embossed with the Swiss dot folder. The sentiment is from the stamp set All Holidays. The leaf is made from the 5-petal flower punch. If you are interested in this project as a kit,the cost is $15.00 and you get enough supplies pre-cut and ready to assemble to make 8 cards. You won't get a stamped sentiment(you will get a scalloped oval punched out so you can stamp your own sentiment) but just about any sentiment would work for this card...Happy Birthday, Thank You, Get Well, ect. If you are interested contact me through e-mail(listed on banner) and I will send you an invoice through Paypal or you can send personal check.

Flower Garden Wagon
Today's little creation was cased from a very talented lady. I changed mine a little by adding the fence using the Martha Stewart fence punch. She also has a tutorial on her site for this project. You can see her blog here.
