Happy Father's Day

Good afternoon!  Today is the last of the cards from my Occasions Class. for this card we used some retired DSP and the Open Sea stamp set.  I am glad this set made it into the new catalog, it is perfect for those hard to make masculine cards.

Also wanted to remind everyone that today is the last day to order from the old catalog.  For those who have already placed an order from the new catalog, I will be able to place that order tomorrow at noon.

I haven't got an update on Jamie yet today, I will post again as soon as I hear something new.  Thanks so much for the prayers, I know that God has heard and the prayers are working.

Welcome, Little One

Good evening!  I am later than usual posting today, just couldn't get motivated to do much of anything today.  I I have another card from my Occasions Class last week.  We made one for a girl as well.  Another simple design, that's seems to be my motto these days.

Update on Jamie....he seems to be some better.  They did another Pulmonary Lavage today and tried to start to wean him off the vent but it didn't work.  His fever is down some and the CT scan was normal so that is encouraging.  I truly believe in the power of prayer and ask that you keep praying for him.

Thank You

Good afternoon!  Thanks so much to everyone who responded to yesterdays post and for all the prayers and concern.  Jamie is now on a ventilator to help with his breathing and they are doing pulmonary lavage to wash some of the mucus and fluids from his lungs.  They are keeping him sedated since he is so uncomfortable with the tubes.  Please keep him in your prayers.

Today's card is one of three we made at my Occasions class last week.  It is simple but I think it turned out pretty.

Remember

Good afternoon!  Today is Memorial Day...it is always a hard day since my mother passed away on Memorial Day but this year it is even harder.  My nephew, Jamie, is critically ill and is in ICU over 8 hours from where I live and all I can do is pray that God lets us keep him a little longer.  If you have followed my blog for very long you have seen him on here before.  Jamie is 29 years old and has Down's and is the most precious and loving person I have ever known. I know in my heart that Gods will is perfect in whatever happens but right now I am pray that Jamie gets better.

Teacher Appreciation

Good afternoon!  Today's project is one of the teacher gifts I made for the girls to give to their teachers.  The pencil is a  CASE of one I saw on Pinterest using a pack of Rollo candy and a candy kiss as the point.  The stamps are in a plastic bag with the Top Note as the topper.  I used Greeting Card Kids stamp on the topper.  The case for the stamps is full of candy kisses.  Sadie's teacher loved it!

Good morning!  Today's project is my customer thank you for May.  I like to put a little something in their bags when they pick up their orders.  I used one of the Edgelet  dies and Wisteria Wonder card stock, DSP, ribbon, and Baker's Twine.  The sentiment was cut with one of the Bitty Banners Framelits available in the new catalog.  If you would like a catalog drop by my office and pick one up if you live locally, or if you need one mailed contact me for the details.

In Colors Thank You

Good morning!  For today's card I used all five of the new In colors.  First I stamped an image from the stamp set, Delicate Doilies in Versa Mark and then embossed it in white.  Then I stamped each color with a stamp from the  Just Believe set and punched it out..  Very simple but pretty.  Thanks for stopping by!

Papaya Collage

Good morning!  School is winding down for my girls, I am really happy about having them home and doing Summer fun things.  Don't get me wrong, I am always looking forward to school going back by August  but for now just not having the homework sounds good.  Today I have another sneak peek from the upcoming catalog.  I stamped  the frame from the stamp set, Papaya collage, and the cut another piece of paper for the center part. The butterfly is cut out and put on a dimensional.  The ink colors are Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple, and Gumball Green.  Thanks for stopping by!

Good afternoon, hope your weekend was fabulous!  Whenever I get a new catalog the first thing I do is go through it an make me a list of the things I want to CASE.  This card caught my eye immediately , it is on page 133.  I did a few changes to it  and really like how it turned out.  The stamp set is Fabulous Phrases and is a carryover from the last catalog.  The color combo is one I have used often(Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, and retired Poppy Parade), I first saw it in the Color Coach.  If you don't have the Color Coach, I highly recommend you get it.  I use it almost every day.   Another new item is the stitched Daffodil Delight ribbon.  I will be doing a ribbon share again so be watching for those details.

Thanks to all who came to my Open House on Saturday.  The winners of the prizes were...Chris won the embossing folder, Sharon H. won the Designer Paper, Shirley won the stamp set, Jeri won the card stock and stamp set, and Irma won the shopping bag.

Christmas??? Really??

Good afternoon!  Yes, really...I know it is way too early to start thinking about Christmas cards...or is it?  We were able to get a Christmas stamp and this lovely DSP as part of our pre-order for the new catalog so I thought why not. I think the DSP, Be of good Cheer, is the best we have had in a few years.  It coordinates with Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, and Very Vanilla.   The stamp set is called Chock Full of Cheer and is one that I will use to make tags for sure.  Thanks for stopping by!

Celebrate MOJO Monday

Good afternoon!  Today I have another sneak peek from the upcoming catalog.  Baja Breeze has always been one of my favorite colors, just about any other color goes well with it so I was happy to see this DSP.  It is called Floral District and coordinates with Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade, Rich Razzleberry, Rose Red, Tangerine Tango, and Whisper White.  I used the MOJO Monday sketch(I just flipped it) for the design but forgot to post it on Monday.  The stamp set is Betsy's Blossoms, I used it earlier in the week just a different image.  Thanks for stopping by.

ps...don't forget I am having Open House on Saturday...I have been busy making samples with a lot of things from the new catalog.  You can register for door prizes and do a Make and Take as well.

Betsy's Blossoms

Good morning!  I am loving all the new items I got to pre-order from the new catalog.  Stampin' Up really outdid themselves on the DSP this time, it is for the most part smaller print designs which make it a lot easier when it comes to making cards.  This collection, Floral District, is gorgeous.  I would have never put green and  purple together but I love it!  The stamp set is called Betsy's Blossoms.  The sentiment is cut with one of the Bitty Banner Framelit  dies.

Do you have a catalog yet?  If not let me know and I will get one to you.  If you have ordered from in the past year, you can get one for free.  You can come to my Open House on Saturday May 19th or just drop by my office.  I will be mailing to my out of town folks this week.  If you aren't a customer already and want a catalog, email me at dls8383@gmail.com to get the details.

Open Sea

Good Monday afternoon!  I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday, mine was awesome.  My girls made me some of the cutest things ever, they are really good at card making and I get cards from them often but this year I got a coaster made from Sadie's artwork, beautiful watercolor pictures, I love you notes by my bed, flowers, and a lunch of fried green tomato sandwich(I am vegetarian, they had turkey added to theirs) with french fries.  I got flowers and phone calls from the older kids which was very nice.  Ok, Mother's Day is over so now it is time to focus on Father's Day although I used Happy Birthday on this card, it could easily be a Father's Day card..  I am so glad the stamp set, Open Sea, carried over to the new catalog since I hadn't even mounted it until this morning.  The DSP is from the new catalog and will be available June 1, it is from the Comfort Cafe collection.  The card stock colors are Soft Suede and Very Vanilla.  The sentiment was cut out with Bitty Banners Framelits also available June 1.

Thanks for being a Friend

Good morning!  Today I have another project from my creative ways to use dies class.  For this one we used the Rosette die to cut the pink piece.  The die does give crease lines but I found that if you only use one layer of DSP, you will only get very faint lines that can only be seen on one side of the paper.  I really like making the rosettes but I need to get more use out of my dies than just for one thing.

Don't forget tonight is Crop for the Cure, 6-midnight!

New Catalog Sneak Peek

Good morning!  I got my preorder for the new catalog but didn't have time until today to actually play with it.  My card today has all new products on it.  The DSP is called Patio Party which is part of the bundle I got for FREE  for having a recruit during SAB, thanks Mandy!  The banner features the new In colors and they are yummy, they are Gumball Green, Primrose Petals,Summer Starfruit, Raspberry Ripple, and Midnight Muse.  The new stamp pads will be made from firm foam and I love how well they stamp.  The sentiment is attached to a new framelit die which is from a set of four called Apothecary Accents. Thanks for stopping by.

ps....I have a request for my local stampers....save me your half gallon milk jugs, I need them for a VBS project.

Doily Birthday

Good morning!  Lots going on this week, yesterday we went with Sadie on a school field trip to the zoo which was fun. She has always wanted to see a Jaguar and every time we have been to the zoo we have tried to see one without any luck.  This time we saw one but her photo was a little blurry but  she was still happy.  She got a camera for Christmas so she was in charge of all the picture taking except for one and for the most part she did a really good job.  My card today is one that we did in a Technique Class, this time our technique was creative ways to use dies.  For this card I used the Doily die and just cut the center out with a circle punch.

Sadie's second favorite animal was the peacock, there was a lot of them there and they just walk around.  This one followed us to the gate when we left.

The girls spotted the paddle boats right away and just had to go for a ride.  It was an extra charge, $2.00 for thirty minutes so I asked my husband to go with them so I could take a break from walking up and down the hills. He told me not to count on a 30 minute break since he was going to make them do all the paddling, they lasted about 9 minutes!

Congratulations and Retirement Special

Good morning, hope you are having a wonderful weekend!  Today's project is one of the cards we did at my last Occasions class.  The inspiration for this card came from one I saw somewhere in blogland but I changed it up a bit.  I can't wait until the new catalog is available to see if we are getting more framelit dies, I know we are getting accessory dies for them since we got to preorder those. I used Peach Parfait cardstock on this card which  is one of the In Colors that will be retiring. Don't forget about the retirement special I am offering...if you order a minimum of $100.00 from the retirement list you will get a $20.00 gift certificate to be used for items from the new catalog!

Bright Blossoms

Good afternoon! I used Summer Smooches DSP for today's card, it is so bright and cheery and I love the colors in it.  The card stock colors are Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo, Daffodil, Delight, and Rich Razzleberry.   The stamps are from Bright Blossoms and I punched them with the 1 inch square and the Postage punches.

I also wanted to remind my local readers that I am hosting a Crop for the Cure on May 11 from 6-midnight.  the cost is $20.00 which all goes to American Cancer Society.  There will be two class projects and you will have access to all my punches dies, ect to work on your projects.

Birthday Stars

Good morning!  Today I have a CAS birthday card using some "very" old DSP, it has been retired a long time. I am so bad to hoard pretty paper so I am trying to use some of it up because I just did my pre-order for the new catalog and ordered some beautiful papers.  I can't wait for the new catalog, I think it is sure to be better than ever.  Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Trio

Good morning!  Hope your week is going good, mine of course is busy but a good busy.  I have Dalton during the day all week since Dad is working day shift and he is a very busy three year old.  Today's project is something I have had in my head for some time but finally got around to doing it.  I love the idea of having a birthday card, a gift tag, and a little box to match.  These are much prettier IRL but just a little challenging to photograph. Gotta go Dalton just cleared the whole bottom shelf of the bookcase, guess I could dust there since it is all out anyway.  Anyway, thanks for stopping by!

Slam Dunk

Good morning, hard to believe it is May!  I am working on my May calendar and will get it out to all those who are waiting for it.  Today I have one of the projects I finished up and delivered yesterday.   My friend Tina wanted birthday party favors for her son who loves sports.  I found these little chocolate soccer balls and basketballs at a candy store and knew they would be perfect.  I stamped basketballs and soccer balls for the tag (I didn't exactly finish these yet as they will be for my sample display).  Thanks for stopping by!
