She's Here!!!!

Introducing Little Miss Riley Veruka Dixon born yesterday at 3:33 pm weighing in at 8 lbs 3 oz and 20 inches long.  I am over the moon in love with this tiny bundle.  Her mommy did great and her daddy did too, I was actually worried he might pass out but he didn't.  Did I mention how much I love her.  She is coming home today so you may not see much stamping here for a few days.  Thanks for stopping by!

SAB Pretty Pocket Card Kit

Today I have a sneak peek from the SAB catalog which becomes available Jan 4, if you didn't get one stop by my shop and pick one up or send me a message and I will get one out to you in the mail.  This is part of a kit that is FREE with any $50.00 order from SU, it has enough supplies to make 8 of these pocket cards in two designs.

These are easy to assemble, they already have tape on them so you just peel and stick the base together and then add the stickers to the front and they have lines to add your message.  The kit also includes some white Bakers Twine which I left off of these and envelopes.

Hugs and Kisses

My kids are still on Christmas break so I am not back to stamping on a regular basis but hopefully after the first of the year I will be able to get more done.   I did manage to get a Valentine card done using the stamp set Sealed with Love and the Love Note framelits.  I loved the color combination of Real Red and Mint Macaron for Christmas so I tried the Mint Macaron with Pink Pirouette and it is even prettier.

Here is the inside of the card.  Thanks for stopping by!

Valentine Treat

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas, we spent Christmas with all our kiddos at home.  That is all I wanted for Christmas, just lots of family time.  We started the day at church, then home to eat lunch and open gifts.  Our oldest son Chad and his wife Katie  are expecting their first baby and she is 39 weeks so all day we kept asking her if she was having any pains. She was a good sport about it but I know she was tired of hearing it.  We all wrote down the date we think she will deliver and whoever gets the closest gets to be the first to hold little Riley.

As much as I love Christmas and making Christmas cards and treats, I am ready to move on to Valentines.  This little box is a 2,4,6,8 box that I make for a lot of different occasions.  I saw one on Pinterest with the attached lid made by one of the Artisans so I had to give it a try.  Thanks for stopping by!

Lift Me Up

Can you believe it, I am posting two days in a row!  I think this has been the busiest December I have ever had with custom orders.  I thought I was finished and then took another one yesterday.  I did have a little time yesterday to make a card for Shelby's best  friend who lost her Dad last week.  This is a new stamp set from the Occasions catalog called Lift Me Up and has matching framelit dies.  The DSP is called Carried Away.

Here is the inside.  Thanks for stopping by!

Moon Baby

Today I have a sneak peek of one of the stamp sets in the Occasions catalog called Moon Baby.   This card is for my nephews little baby Colton which I can't wait to see.  The stamp has a star at the end of the string but I wanted to use the new stitched framelits and the largest one in the set wasn't quite big enough so I added a diecut star.  Thanks for stopping by!

Bell Box Template

Since I have had several  emails requesting   dimensions for the little box I posted yesterday, I decided to give them here as well.  Above is a crude cutting pattern.  The paper is cut at 6 1/2 x 5 1/4 and scored on long side at 3/4, 1 1/2, 5, 5 3/4 and the shorter side is scored at 3/4, 2 1/4, 3, and 4 1/2.   My template doesn't show that the part of the flap that tucks in is corner rounded but that makes it slip in better.  hope this helps, if  you have further questions email me at dls8383@gmail.com.  Thanks for stopping by!

This is For You

I sold more than I anticipated last week so I have been busy this weekend making teacher gifts and have even made a few more Christmas cards.  I made this box to hold some treats I found that are perfect for this pretty Presents and Pinecones DSP.

Here is whats inside, bell shaped Reeses candy.  I also found some bells that are Peppermint/dark chocolate flavored but haven't made a box for them yet.  Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas

My pastor's grandmother orders something to give to her Sunday School class every year and this is what she picked out this year(also what she gave them last year but  she said since they liked them, it was ok).  She is probably close to or already 90 years old and still drives and teaches Sunday School, I admire her a lot and always look forward to when she comes to my shop.  I hope that when I am that old, I am still as active as she is!  You can find directions for these chap stick holders here Thanks for stopping by!

Ho!Ho!Ho!

This is the treat I made for Dalton and Ava to give to their teachers.  It contains a hot chocolate packet, a Hershey Bar, and a small bag of marshmallows.  I used the retired Square Pillow box thinlet die and cut off the top two flaps.  Thanks for stopping by!

A Cup of Cheer

I had an idea to make some hot chocolate holders for my last craft show and had cut out several of these mugs but ran out of time so I thought I would use them to make Christmas cards instead.  I had scraps of this Presents and Pinecones DSP laying on my desk so I used it as well.  Thanks for stopping by!

You might need your shades for this card. it is so bright!  This is another card from our monthly Occasions class, we always do a birthday card since that is the card people send most often and it is my favorite to make.  I used the Biggest Birthday  Ever stamp set and the matching Wish Big Framelit dies.  The DSP is from Festive Birthday.  Thanks for stopping by!

Swirly Scribbles

We have been without internet for 10 days which is just crazy, of course Thanksgiving was in that 10 days but you would think they could of got it fixed sooner than 10 days.  Anyway, I have one of the cards from my monthly Occasions class to share today.  The In Colors are perfect for flowers and the Swirly Scribbles dies make such pretty wreaths.  The sentiment is from the Open Heart stamp set.  thanks for stopping by!

Lip Balm Holders

I get a lot of request for directions on these little lip balm holders so I thought I would write up the directions.  The main part is from the retired Two Tags Die but you could easily cut just the paper and add a decorative edge to the tops and fold it to form the bottom.  One of the die cuts from this die measure 4 x 2 3/4 and are scored at 1 3/4 from the bottom edge.  I cut  two of them and glued them together at the score lines.

The part that holds the lip balm measures 2 x 3 1/8 and is scored at 5/8,1 1/4,1 7/8, and 2 1/2 and then glued into the center of the two die cuts.

Just in case you are interested, I do these dress boxes in most of the Disney princesses for birthday parties as well as wedding dresses for weddings.  They have a small box built in which could hold small favors such as jewelry or candy.  I ship them flat but they are easily formed.

Here is the original one I made a few years ago.  If you have further questions, let me know.  thanks for stopping by!

A Lotta Gobble Gobbles

These cuties are for a custom order I got during my craft show.  My Dalton saw these and asked me why I had a lotta gobble gobbles hence the title for my post.  He couldn't remember what they were, just that they say "gobble gobble".  Love my sweet boy!  Thanks for stopping by.

Craft show Goodies

I thought you may be interested in seeing some of the items that were the best sellers from my craft shows.  A friend gave me several of theses empty cappuccino jars and I made them into Milk for Santa jars.  I sold out the first day and made a few more last week to have in my shop.

These little snowmen treats were popular as well, they hold two chocolate nuggets.  I sold out of these as well plus have an order for 65 more.

I only  have nine of the 65 done so that is what I will be concentrating on tomorrow.

I had two left out of 25 of these snowmen hats.

More nugget treats with a reindeer tag.  I had several more custom orders as well which I will share as I get them ready.  Thanks for stopping by!

Santa's Sleigh Scene

I made these for my craft show and I had a customer to ask me to make her 6 sets of each of them for her grandchildren.  I mailed them out this morning!

For the sleigh I cut the runners twice and adhered them together to make them more stable.  The seat was made with a piece of cardstock that is 2 1/2 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches long, and scored at 1/4 inches on both sides of the long side and at 1 inch and 4 1/4 inches on the short side.

I stamped and cut four trees, scored them down the middle, and adhered them back to back.

I added a piece of white cardstock to the bottom of the snowman to make him stand up.  Thanks for stopping by!

Blessing of You

I love how this card turned out, totally not what I had in mind but like it anyway.  I used the Basket of Wishes stamp set from the Holiday catalog and the Moroccan DSP.  I had my craft show this past weekend and it was awesome.  A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, bought from me or ordered from me.  I have several custom orders to get done over the next few days and then hopefully I can post more on a regular basis.  thanks for stopping by!

Swirly Scribbles Pumpkin

I have seen the Swirly Scribbles made into a lot of different things so I made a few cards using them for my craft show.  This is such a versatile set and can be used for several holidays.  Thanks for stopping by!

Star of Light

Love this stamp set mainly for the sentiments.  For the Christmas cards I send, I like to put a religious sentiment on them and this set has five that are perfect.    Another plus, it has a set of framelits to go with it.  Thanks for stopping by!

Merriest Wishes

I love weekends and hardly ever am glad that they are over, but this time I am.  I don't know what was in the air but my kids couldn't get along at all this weekend.  I think it may be the fact that parade season is over for the big girls and they were bored.   I had looked forward to a quiet weekend at home but that didn't happen, I was busy refereeing Sadie and Shelby.   I did get one card made using the stocking stamp set and dies in the Holiday catalog, a set I tried to convince myself I didn't need.  I also used some of the Copper Foil paper which is gorgeous.   thanks for stopping by!

Warm Winter Wishes

I have a week before my craft show and this morning I counted my Christmas cards and realized I don't have near enough.  I have been doing this particular show for 8 years now and have built up a large repeat  customer base so I can anticipate how many I will need.  So...I guess I will not sleep much for the next week.  LOVE this set of dies and stamps!

Merriest Wishes

For today's card I used the Santa's Sleigh stamp set and framelits again.  It's hard to see but the white panel is embossed with the Woodland embossing folder and the tree has Wink of Stella brushed on.  Thanks for stopping by!

Santa's Sleigh

I have a Christmas card today with the Santa's Sleigh stamp set and matching framelit dies.  I told myself that I didn't need this set but then I couldn't resist and ordered it anyway.  I have a craft show in a couple weeks so I have been busy preparing for it but had to take time out today to make this card.  Thanks for stopping by!

Better Together Birthday

Today I have a CAS birthday card using the Cable Knit embossing folder, Warmth and Cheer DSP, and the Better Together stamp set.  I think it has a masculine feel to it so it will go to either my son Chad, my husband,  or my nephew who all have birthdays soon. Thanks for stopping by!

Craft Show Goodies Part 2

Today I have the rest of the sanitizers to share with you.  I love how these turned out, it was fun trying to come up with something to match the label of each of them.

I love the catchy names of  all of them.

Here are all 10 of them, I think I will go back to Bath and Body and see if they have any new Fall ones and maybe the Christmas ones will be out soon.  Thanks for stopping by!
