Hello

I found this stamped image in a box of scraps of card stock so I put it to use.  The image is retired but that doesn't bother me, if I like something I continue to use it.

For the Birds

Just love these cute baby birds.  I counted nine Robins in my backyard yesterday and several of the females had bits of straw in their mouths so we should have baby Robins soon.  Thanks for stoping by!

You're Awesome

My kids love converse tennis shoes so I had to get this cute SAB set more for scrap booking than anything although I love how this card turned out.  My youngest son Seth insisted on buying a pair of pink high top Converse when he was was in Kindergarten.  My husband wasn't too happy about it but Seth loved them and wore them until they were coming apart.

Thanks a Latte

I am not much of a coffee drinker, usually one cup in the morning when it is cold outside, but I always purchase any stamps related to coffee.  Coffee is a reminder of my mother, she would have a cup of coffee in her hand from the time she got out of bed until she went back to bed at night.  She used a lot of creamer in hers but never any sweetner. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Retirement

I have a sweet friend who I met when I lived in Alabama who is retiring so I made this card for her.  She owns a condo in Gulf Shores and  will be moving there,  This is the last scrap of this DSP I have left, sure wish Stampin'  Up! would keep these favorites around longer than one catalog, I am sure they would be a hit.  Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy the Little Things

Sorry my photo isn't very good, we are having a super gloomy day here is southern Illinois.  I really like this daisy punch and stamp set which will be available in the new annual catalog starting June 1. There is even DSP to match as well.  Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy Today

Can you believe it, I am posting two days in a row.  I used the dies and stamps from the Eastern Palace Suite which will be available for purchase when the new catalog goes live June 1.  I paired it up with my favorite retiring In Color, Mint Macaron.  It is a quite simple card for sure but that is about all I have time for these days.  My Shelby has Senior pictures today and then I have to make her graduation cards plus two weddings to complete.  Thanks for stopping by!

A Little Pun Intended

My favorite Sale a Bration stamp set is the Hey, Chick and so far it has also been a favorite of my customers.  I specially love the little cracked egg with feet in this set so I combined it with the dozen of eggs from the Perfect Mix stamp set.  Love it, and know exactly who I am sending this card to.  My son Seth is dyslexic and all through school he had teachers describe him as "floats his own boat",
"sings to a different tune", "unique",  "different","a genius in math but can't read", and many, many more. He even had one teacher who must have thought he was an alien because he asked him to levitate a pencil!  It was very frustrating for him during his grade school years but when he got to high school he finally had a teacher who totally understood him and he taught him to read.  Now we laugh about it so I know he will find this card amusing although he is probably more like one in a million.

Flourishing Phrases

I needed a special card for a special person and this is what I came up with. I used the Flourishing Phrases and matching Flourish Thinlet dies.  The DSP is the retired Bohemian but you could substitute whatever you have.  Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of You Thoughtful Branches

You may get tired of seeing this stamp set, thoughtful branches, before I am tired of using it.  Like I said earlier, it is very versatile, this time for a thinking of you card.  If it is something you think you want, remember it is only available while supply lasts for the month of August and then it will be gone.  thanks for stopping by!

Best Fishes

I love how this card turned out, makes me wish I was at the beach right now.  We aren't doing a big vacation this year because we took a three week vacation last year with two of those weeks being at the beach.  The DSP is from the Serene Scenery 6x6 pack which has some awesome scenes.  Thanks for stopping by.

Pop of Paradise

Today I have a CAS card made with the Pop of Paradise stamp set and the Pop of Pink DSP.  The Layering Square Framelits are one of my favorites right now.  Thanks for stopping by!

Seaside Shore

This would be the perfect card for my kiddos, as all their days have been going "swimmingly" this summer.  They have lived in the pool this summer.  I used the Seaside Shore stamp set and the By the Shore DSP.
I made the seaweed with the streamer die that comes in Fiesta Time die set, I love to find ways to use dies other than the way they are intended.  Thanks for stopping by!

You Made My Day

I have to be outside a lot with the kiddos while they swim but I don't get in the water with them.  Instead I have been working in my flower and vegetable gardens.  I planted some new flowers this year to atrack butterflies and humming birds.  I hadn't seen either until yesterday.  No humming birds yet but lots of butterflies or "flutterbies" as Dalton calls them.  So, I had to make a butterfly card for today.  Thanks for stopping by!

Moroccan

When the new In Colors were released, I loved all of them except the Emerald Envy mainly because I didn't know what to put with it.  Then I got the Moroccan DSP and the color coordination was done for me and now I think I am going to like it.  For this card I used Cajun Craze card stock but it also coordinates with Dapper Denim, Delightful Dijon, Early Espresso, and Very Vanilla.  Thanks for stopping by!

Gift from the Garden

Do you ever  buy a stamp set thinking you will use it a lot and then realize you have only used it maybe once?  I am the worst for this, I loved this stamp set the minute I saw it in the catalog and it was on my first order after that...but I have only used it twice.  The retirement list comes out today and I am afraid this set is probably on it so I pulled it out and made this card.  I have made a list of the ones I think will retire, hope I am wrong about some of them.  Thanks for stopping by!

Have a Cuppa

Today's card was made using the stamp set A Nice Cuppa and the Cups & Kettle Framelit dies.  I used the Have a  Cuppa DSP as well.  I colored the doily with a Bermuda Bay Blendability marker.  Don't forget tomorrow is the last day of Sale*a*bration.  If you purchase the bundle I used to make this card on page 34 of the Occasions catalog, you are only $11.00 away from earning a FREE Sale a bration item.  Thanks for stopping by!

In the Meadow

Aren't these deer precious!  We live in a subdivision just outside of town and behind our house is a meadow that has a small pond on it and there have been six deer living there for over a year.  Every morning they make their way to our back yard and eat grass, the kids really enjoy seeing them and try to sneak up on them to get a picture but the deer  are too observant and always take off.  One day about two weeks ago I noticed that the smallest one had a wound to its back side and it was limping and  had been bleeding.  I think someone must of wounded it with either an arrow or a gun.  I was going to buy some shelled corn to put out where it could find it but then we haven't seen it with the others so I think it may of died.  Anyway, I love how this card turned out.  This stamp set, In the Meadow, also has some other very pretty trees and rocks that I am going to use to make a scene with soon.  Thanks for stopping by!

You Brighten My Day

Yesterday was the 4 year anniversary of the Leap Day tornado that hit our town and took the lives of 8 people and the homes of many and today we woke to wind, thunder, lightning, hail, and rain.  The first thing my kids asked was are we going to have another tornado.  I needed some sunshine this morning so I pulled out the Sunburst thinlit die and made this card.  The sentiment is from the Sunburst Sayings stamp set.  Thanks for stopping by!

Loads of Love

Do you hang on to or buy stamp sets for sentimental reasons ....I sure do.  I bought this stamp set, Loads of Love after my dad passed away in 2004 just because of the truck image.  He had a truck once just like this and in some crazy way when I ink this stamp up and color it I feel comforted by it.  Anyway...thanks for stopping by!
