I Love US

This is the card I gave my husband for Valentines Day.  I don't know how I would have made it through the last 6 months if he hadn't taken on running the household, taking kids to school, cooking, cleaning, listening to me complain, grocery shopping, and working at his job every day.  I know he was afraid that the outcome would not be good but he didn't let me see that, he was the one that kept me from giving up so many times.

Window box Valentine

Today I have another Window Box project, this one a Valentine in nontraditional Valentine colors.  It could also be used to hold a small gift for a wedding.  I stamped the box all over with the flower image from the stamp set So In Love from  the Occasions catalog using Wisteria Wonder ink onto Wisteria Wonder card stock.  I think the wood accents and the lace doily give it a vintage appearance.  Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Pumpkin Valentine

I just love this little treat bag that is the Paper Pumpkin kit for January.  If you haven't tried Paper Pumpkin, you are really missing out.  I don't always like what the kit is designed to create but I can always find an alternate design that I do like.  If you sign up for it and decide you don't want it, you and cancel or you can skip a month if you need to.  If you sign up for a 3 month prepaid subscription   during SAB and designate me as your demonstrator, you  will qualify for a SAB item from Stampin' Up! plus a gift from me.

I'm Hooked on You

I have had some problems with getting my photos to upload so I haven't posted in a few days, I don't know what I did to get it to work but just thankful that it is.   This is Dalton's Valentines to give to his classmates for this year.  I have Whales in this bag but I bought Goldfish today for the ones he will share.  Ava has her choice narrowed down to 5 different ones so she may have decided by Valentines day.  Thanks for stopping by!

Love You Lots

Today I have another card from our Pinterest class to share.  The original card was not Stampin' Up! but I recreated it with all Stampin' Up except the embossed Pink Pirouette piece.  Here is a link to Glenda's pin.  When I scheduled this new class, I was a little unsure if it was one that I would continue to offer but now that the first one is done, I will most definitely put on next months schedule.  Not only did it challenge me to step out of my comfort zone, but I enjoyed it as well.  thanks for stopping by!

From My Heart to Yours

Today's card is a simple Valentine that was quick and easy to make, which is what I need these days.  I am so busy with my kiddos, there is hardly any time for anything but driving them from place to place.  We have had somewhere to be every evening this week.  Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Love

Today I have a Valentine card to share made with the Sent with Love stamp set. Love the lipstick kiss that's in this set.  I remember when I was young writing love letters to whoever I had a crush on and sealing them with a lipstick kiss and then never actually giving them to him because I was totally the shyest kid in school.  I thought it would be fun to stamp it on the cards I give to my kiddos as well.  Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs and Kisses

My kids are still on Christmas break so I am not back to stamping on a regular basis but hopefully after the first of the year I will be able to get more done.   I did manage to get a Valentine card done using the stamp set Sealed with Love and the Love Note framelits.  I loved the color combination of Real Red and Mint Macaron for Christmas so I tried the Mint Macaron with Pink Pirouette and it is even prettier.

Here is the inside of the card.  Thanks for stopping by!

Valentine Treat

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas, we spent Christmas with all our kiddos at home.  That is all I wanted for Christmas, just lots of family time.  We started the day at church, then home to eat lunch and open gifts.  Our oldest son Chad and his wife Katie  are expecting their first baby and she is 39 weeks so all day we kept asking her if she was having any pains. She was a good sport about it but I know she was tired of hearing it.  We all wrote down the date we think she will deliver and whoever gets the closest gets to be the first to hold little Riley.

As much as I love Christmas and making Christmas cards and treats, I am ready to move on to Valentines.  This little box is a 2,4,6,8 box that I make for a lot of different occasions.  I saw one on Pinterest with the attached lid made by one of the Artisans so I had to give it a try.  Thanks for stopping by!

Be Mine

I was looking for a Valentine treat for my kiddos to give to their Sunday School teachers and found this idea here.

I already had several boxes of Conversation Hearts left over from school projects so this was just perfect.

I wrapped the boxes in retired DSP and added the tag, I made 9 for Sunday School and a few more to use as favors for my Bible Journaling class tomorrow.  Thanks for stopping by!

Nugget Valentine Treat

My friend Sharon asked me to make a Valentine treat for  the residents of an assisted living facility and this is what  I made. For most of them I used part of a leftover kit but also used some retired DSP.

I made 25 red ones and 25 pink  ones.  They hold two  Hershey's chocolate nuggets which I wrapped with DSP.

And an inside view.

Want to make some for yourself.....here's some simple instructions.  Cut your card stock to 2in x 81/4 inches and then using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, punch both ends.  Next you will score(very important that you punch before scoring) at 3 1/4 and 4 3/4. Decorate the front,  I cut my paper for the front at 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 .  Fold your score lines and tie the top together, add your nuggets(I used glue dots to hold them in place) and you are done.  Thanks for stopping by!

Hey, Valentine

This card should be Dalton's Valentine this year but I think he would probably tear it up if I gave it to him....he got poked in the eye yesterday at school and got a nasty scratch to his eye so he is having to keep his eye covered for a few days to allow it to heal.  It took three of us to hold him down at the doctors office yesterday.  All we accomplished was getting the medicine in and a quick look to see the scratch.  After the doctor was finished examining him he offered me a job, he said he needed someone that was good at handling kids.  I actually worked for a Pediatrician for six year but as busy as I am at this stage of my life, I don't think a "real" job is in my future.  Anyway, I thought this little pirate might cheer Dalton up today...but not so much...he is still grumpy!

Oh, Whale

I have decided to try to use up some of the enormous stack of retired DSP that I have accumulated.  Most of my card customers don't stamp at all and don't care if the paper is no longer available.  This little whale was very popular a couple years ago and the sentiment is adorable as well.  Thanks for stopping by.

Bloomin' Heart

I thought I had my Valentine card inventory built up so that I could concentrate on other cards but then someone came to my shop today and bought 23 cards.  I see that as a good thing but I will have to concentrate on making more this week.  I took advantage of my husband being home today with the littles  and got a few made.

From My Heart

The weather is certainly not cooperating today, I had such a hard time trying to get a good photo of this card plus it is very cold outside and the kiddos are out of school again today.  I just want a little sunshine!

Thanks for stopping by!

Star Wars Valentine

This is going to be Dalton's Valentines for this year, he loved the Star Wars movie.   Now if he sees Harrison Ford on TV he says, "there is Star Wars".  My version of R2D2 is made from at least 5 cards I saw on Pinterest.  I printed the sentiment on my computer and printed it on copy paper and then backed it with card stock.  I am also going to use this card for my Punch Class this month.  Thanks for stopping by!

Valentine

I made this card about a year ago and pinned it to Pinterest and it has been very popular, pinned several thousand times.  I like it too, so I thought I would recreate it as a Valentine card.

The colors look a little washed out but that s because of the muggy day we are having here in Southern Illinois today.  Thanks for stopping by!
