3/21 Day

Today is Trisomy 21 day(also known as Down Syndrome), a day that we celebrate because of this precious guy.  This is my nephew, Jamie, the sweetest child God ever sent to earth.  To know him is to love him, and every time I take him somewhere I am amazed at how many people know him.  He has never met a stranger and everyone he meets is considered a cousin.  Love you Jamie B!

Easter Bunny

I made this little bunny for a class next week using the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlet die.  Dalton saw it and loved it but wants me to make it in brown because he saw the Easter bunny last year and he is brown.  Love that sweet boy!

Butterflies

My favorite thing from the Occasions catalog has to be the butterfly dies, I think I use them about every day for something.  For this card I used the Gold Soiree DSP but couldn't decide whether to use it with black or white, so I did it both ways.  Which do you like best?

New SAB Items

Since the Blendabilities are no longer available as a free SAB item, Stampin' Up! has added these items to the list of choices for SAB.  

Stippled Blossoms

Class of 2015

Today I have a graduation card using the Class of 2015 stamp from the Occasions catalog.  I usually get several graduation invitations from church, we have a large youth group of wonderful kids.  I went with a simple design since I am going to make several.  Thanks for stopping by!

For Peeps Sake

This month is whizzing by and Easter will be here very soon.  I have been so busy with life in general that I have got very little done for Easter so far.  I love this cute stamp set from the Occasions Catalog.  I stamped the image with Daffodil Delight and then colored select spots with Blendabilities.
Stampin' Up! has decided to not offer the Blendabilities for now due to some quality issues that the manufacturer couldn't resolve.  They are looking at other options and hope to be able to offer another alcohol marker in the future.  I haven't had any problems with mine and will continue to use them.

Pink Event

On Saturday I attended the Pink Event, an event to raise money for cancer research.  It is an annual event that I look forward to each year.  This year was a little more special since my girls were modeling in the Fashion Show part of it.  Shelby ended up not getting to model because of illness but Miss Sadie had a fabulous time.  Here she is at my booth, she is such a clown!

The theme this year was Bebop a Cure and was so much fun, they had a 1950's vintage car parked at the entrance, the ladies putting it on wore the clothing(poodle skirts, rolled up jeans, bobby socks, and the whole bit), the entertainment was music from a Barber Shop Quartet, the speaker was a research doctor who was very interesting, we had a box lunch of burgers and fries followed by coke floats.  The runway for the Style show was old records and album covers.  In this photo, Sadie is wearing her favorite outfit from the show.

This was my favorite outfit.  The lighting was not very good for taking pictures, I hope the event photographer got some better ones than I did.

Guy Greetings

I know I have complained a lot recently about being tired of Winter but I really am, my kids have been out of school all week.  They were sick Monday and Tuesday and the rest of the time out for snow so needless to say I have got nothing done but laundry and cooking and then more laundry and more cooking.  This card was part of $5.00 Friday last week, I was so glad to see this masculine stamp set in the Occasions catalog.
