Bird House

Good morning! It seems like Monday since the kids were out of school yesterday. Today I have a cute little bird house made using the Fancy Favor die, I have seen a lot of these around using the Milk Carton die but I needed something a little bigger. I just love the Two-step Bird punch. I used the Square Scallop die for the roof and then ran it through with an embossing folder to make it look more like wood. I know my roof is a little crooked, I think Miss Sadie got hold of it before the glue dried. I will probably use this as a favor box for a birthday, we go to a birthday at least once a week. You may see a few kids birthday cards here since I have got to replenish my stash since I used my last one Saturday.

Happy Easter

Hope you are having a good Monday! Is it too early to make an Easter card? I don't send out very many Valentines and I have made several already so I thought I would do an Easter card for today. I love the Shades of Spring DP from the Occasions mini, they certainly get you thinking of Spring. I used Orchid Opulence and Certainly Celery card stock and cut the butterfly with the SU Beautiful Wings embosslit. It doesn't show up very well but the orchid circle where the butterfly is was embossed using the Perfect Details texturz plate.

I also want to let you know that I am going to offer a Ribbon Share again, the ribbon will be all 9 colors of 5/8 Satin Ribbon from page 27 of the Occasions mini plus the white satin ribbon from the regular catalog. The cost if you live locally will be $21.00 which includes s&h plus tax, if you need it mailed the cost will be $25.00. You will get 3 yards of 10 different colors. Let me know if you want to be part of this share, I only have 1 spot left but will do another one if i get 5 people, my email address is at the top in my banner.

Wandering Words

Good Sunday afternoon! Whew, what a busy weekend..Shelby had Traveling Team Basketball Thursday after school and then All Stars practice after that and then on Friday evening both girls had a scouting event to go to. Saturday morning Sadie had a basketball game at 10:00 and Shelby had one a 12, then they went to a skating birthday party at 2:00 and then had a friend to stay the night after the party. We went to church this morning, had lunch and then Shelby left for a Night at the City Museum. Between running these girls around and cleaning up the mess we have had at our house, I have had little time for stamping. I do have a project I managed to get done late last night, this is a Valentine using the stamp set Wandering Words which is no longer available since it was in the Holiday Mini but I did use current paper and embellishments. I also made a little mailbox since the card has a mailbox on it, it is by sticking two nuggets together and wrapping DP around it. I saw this idea on Becky Roberts, Inking Idaho blog last year and thought it was really cute. Thanks for stopping by!

Friends

Here is another card using the MOJO Monday sketch for this week. I used the stamp set Vintage Vogue, not sure what the paper is just know it is retired SU. Quick post today, we have had a sewage problem today and lots of cleaning left to do. Thanks for stopping by.

Sweet Treat

I have been playing around with the Sweet Treat cups, I won't show you all my discards. I wanted to be able to access the candy without tearing up the card. Well after several attempts I think I have it. I didn't want to be limited to putting the treat only as far up on the card as the punch would reach, and finally it hit me, use the Movers and Shapers die! Now I don't have the Heart Shaper(I will be ordering it!) so I used the Curly Label which took a little extra work but for now it will have to do. The blue heart is attached to a piece of card stock that can be pulled in and out to allow the candy to be taken out of the hold in the back side. Thanks for stopping by, comments are welcome but I have had to moderate comments due to a comment that was left about 2 weeks ago that contained a link to an undesirable website. Why do some people have to ruin good intentions!!!

Love You Much

Good afternoon! I have got a lot accomplished today and even made a little time for stamping. I found a sketch at the MOJO Monday blog that I wanted to try and this is what I came up with. I really like the Valentine paper from the Occasions Mini. I used Chocolate chip with it(although it looks like black in the photo) and used the Heart of Hearts embosslit again, I am liking it as well. the sentiment comes from the stamp set, Whimsical Words and I added a little "bling" around the scallop circle. Hope you like it.

Thanks to Caren, Sarah, and Jennifer for ordering kits, they are on their way, enjoy! Don't forget to check out my Special Offer for this month as well as the Kit of the Month.

Hello

Today I have another card made from Fox and Friends stamp set. I used a cuttlebug folder for the bottom chocolate chip piece and a scrap of paper from the Sweet Pea pad for the DP. The card base is So Saffron although it doesn't look like it in the photo. The sentiment is from the stamp set Hello Again which is one of the choices from the Sale-a-bration catalog. This year Stampin' Up will allow you to choose certain sets from the Idea Book & Catalog in place of the sets in the Sale-a-bration catalog. Thanks for stopping by!

Fox and Friends

I played with more new stamps today, this is from Fox and Friends. All seven of the animals are so cute and would be perfect for kids birthday or new baby but I didn't need either of these so I chose to make a Thank You card. I haven't got all my thank yous done from Christmas so you may see a few more here in the next few days.

Welcome Neighbor

Posted by Picasa

Good Saturday afternoon! For today I have a Fancy Favor box using paper from the paper pad in the Sale-a-bration catalog called Welcome Neighbor. The houses are on the front and the clouds are on the back side so I used less than a 6x6 piece. The tag was made using a stamp from the set, Bella's Bloom. I thought this would be cute to give to someone who just moved into your neighborhood filled with business cards or coupons from local restaurants, specialty shop, and of course my business card! When we moved to Alabama they had a Newcomers Club which I joined and they did something similar, then we met once a week at the restaurants that had donated the coupons. I thought this was a neat way to get to know the city and to get to know new people. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Birthday Tess!

I wasn't sure if I wanted to get this stamp set or not because I wasn't sure who I would send it to using some of the things you could add to her hand but you don't have to be limited to what comes with the stamp set. For this card, I used a sticker for the gift she is holding. I used paper from the Sweet Pea pad for the background and to paper piece her gift bag and her shirt. I used Copics to color the rest of her. the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. Don't forget to check out my Special Offer this month as well as my Kit of the Month.
