Wondrous Wreath

Today I have a Christmas card to share, I actually started this card in November but never finished it.  I found it while pulling out some retired Christmas DSP.   So I finished the card and made a little treat bag to match it, maybe this year I will actually get around to sending it!

I am working on my schedule for August so if you have an idea for a class let me know.  I also have an exciting announcement coming up soon, so stay tuned for that!

Santa's List

I was sorting through some papers yesterday and found this partially colored image that I had started when we first got the Blendabilities markers.  I pulled my Blendabilities out and finished it.  I have not had any problems with these markers so I will continue to use them for as long as they last.

Hey Girl

When I saw this little girl in the catalog, it reminded me of my Sadie when she was younger.  We used to call her Sassy Sadie because she loves clothes and putting outfits together.  She is growing up way too fast for me, going into Middle school next month.

She is taller than I am and almost as tall as her sister who is five years older than her.  Love you sweet sassy Sadie!

Joy

I made a similar card like this last year but didn't use it for a class and since I had a request for it I made an updated version for my next class.  Thanks for stopping by!

A Merry Little Wish

Today I have one of the cards for my Christmas in July class.  I was so happy that the Festival of Trees stamp set made it into the annual catalog.  I used a strip of the corrugated paper and love the texture it adds.   It is hard to see, but the main panel is embossed with the stars embossing folder.  Thanks for stopping by!

Project Life boxes Repurposed

Today I have another boxed set of cards to share.  I saw the idea of using empty Project Life card boxes on Patty Benetts blog but changed it a little, I did blocks of card stock and DSP rather than wrapping just DSP around the box.

The box will hold 20 notecards and 20 envelopes plus some embellishments.

I stamped 20 sentiments, punched them out and added them to a scalloped oval with Stampin' Dimensionals on the back.  Thanks for stopping by!

Fresh Vintage

I have several craft shows coming up this Fall so I worked on a few projects yesterday after church.  I do well with selling boxed sets of cards and it is a good way to use up that mountain of retired DSP I have.  This is the box.  It holds four cards and envelopes.

Thanks for stopping by!

A Gift from the Garden

I don't think I have ever had a busier Summer than this one, I have been crazy busy but not busy stamping.  I managed to make this card yesterday at home, I haven't been to my shop more than 30 minutes at a time since the beginning of June.  I used the Gift from the Garden stamp set and the butterfly is from the Bold Butterfly Framelits.  I used some retired Retro Fresh DSP as well.  Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas

I have my first Christmas card this year, I am a little behind already since I usually start the first day of July.  I was glad to see a stamp set in the new catalog to go along with the tree punch.

On a personal note....I know a lot of my local customers have had a hard time tracking me down this month.  It seems I have had a lot of catching up at home since I got back from Florida and then on July 3  when I could have been available my brother-in-law developed a brain aneurysm and was put in the hospital.  He and my sister live in Lexington, Ky so I took off and left the kids with my husband to be with her.  His condition deteriorated quickly and he passed away on the 10th.  I came home to get my husband and the kids and am leaving in the morning to go back to Lexington.  I do have orders for several people and I will be back home on Wednesday but only available after 1:00 pm on Thursday and Friday since we have VBS going on.  Thanks for your patience!

You Rock

Dalton saw me coloring this image and said, "that is not me, Mom".  I had to ask why of course, and he said because his hair doesn't stick up.  I LOVE that boy!

Lunch Box Notes

I love to tuck a little note of encouragement in my kids lunch boxes especially if they are having a test that day or just to tell them that I love them.  The Words of Truth  stamp set is perfect for making these.  The sentiments are all sweet, but I especially love the one that says "I love you more than grilled cheese" since my kids know how much I like grilled cheese!  I made several sets and boxed them up to sell at craft shows.

I made two sets of these, one to sell and one for myself.

I made three sets from this retired DSP.  I used Whisper White card stock and added DSP to the front and stamped the sentiment on the back with plenty of room for 'mom' to write a note.  Thanks for stopping by!

Yummy!

When planning  our July 4th celebration, watermelon is always at the top of list and has been since I was a little girl.  My dad planted watermelons in the garden and I can remember him checking on them everyday to see if they were going to be ready for July 4th.  I used the Circle Framelit dies to cut Watermelon Wonder, Whisper White, and a piece of Cherry on Top paper and cut it in half.  The seeds are made with the retired Blossom Bouquet Triple punch.  I couldn't decide which background dsp to use so I used both.

Thanks for stopping by!
