Owl Occasions

Good afternoon!  Today's project is a  birthday card using the cute Owl Occasions stamp set with the Patio Party DSP.  I love the colors in this paper, I chose Baja Breeze, Midnight Muse, and Primrose Petals.

I had several emails after yesterday's post with questions about what I charge for doing favors and decorations for birthday parties.  I don't have set prices but base it on what the individual wants, some have a lot of detail and these cost more.  I would be glad to give you a   price but you will need to let me know a month in advance what you want.

Let's Party!

Good Monday morning!  Today I have the rest of the items for the party I have been working on.  I showed you part of it last week here.  I actually finished ahead of schedule this time, I worked most of the day Saturday finishing up and was happy that my customer was so thrilled with the end product.  I had fun finding  the items to make into party favors using the colors she choose.  The top photo is gummy worms, tootsie rolls, and sour(I forgot the name) candy.  Next are the cupcake picks, I made 24 of these and 12 of all the other items.  The third item is touchable bubbles, these came in a package of four and in the exact colors I was looking for!  For the last three, I used the 1x8 cellophane bags and they contain Sweet Tarts, jelly beans, and crayons.  Thanks for stopping by!

Castle Fit for a Little Princess

Good evening!  I hardly ever get a chance to post on Sunday but Dalton fell asleep this afternoon so I am taking advantage of a little free time.  This is one of the cards from my  recent Punch Class.  It is cased from this card that I saw on Pinterest, I did change it some though.  Thanks for stopping by!

Ribbon Shares

Good Saturday morning!  Today's project is one of the cards we did at punch class this week.  I used the new 1 1/4in scallop circle punch that is in the Holiday Mini to make the flowers and added a 3/4 circle to the middle.  The fence isn't SU but everything else on the card is.

I also wanted to let everyone who participated in the first and second round of the  Ribbon Share know that they are ready for pickup.  I have two people signed up for round three and will place the order as soon as three more sign up.  In case you are wondering , it works like this.....you will receive 2 yards of all ten colors of the 1/2 inch Scallop Dots Ribbon on page 172 of the catalog for $18.89 whereas it would cost you $94.45 to buy all ten rolls.

ps....notice the little boy that caught in the picture...that is Dalton and I considered offering him as a door prize but I guess I will just keep him!

Poinsettia

Good afternoon!  I have seen a lot of cards with poinsettias that were made with the Blossom Builder punch so I decided to give it a try.  It was very easy and I will be doing more for sure.  The pearls in the center were colored with a yellow sharpie marker.  I love the Cherry Cobbler Tulle Ribbon from the Holiday Mini, it is very easy to work with.  Thanks for stopping by!

Sending Christmas Wishes

Good afternoon!  Today I have a Christmas card to share, this is one we did at one of my classes this month.  I love the jar die cut from the Christmas Mini catalog, I had been looking for a jar stamp for some time and couldn't believe it when the mini came out and not only did we get a stamp but a die as well!  Notice that the jar topper was cut using Summer Smooches fabric.  Thanks for stopping by!

Ornament Keepsake Box

Good evening!  I think I told you how much I enjoyed having the kids home from school for the summer a few weeks ago....well after today.....I am looking forward to school starting.  All three of them have taken turns being just plain ornery today.  Sadie started the morning out by getting up at 6:00 am and wanting to go ride her bike and since I said no she played on the back porch for awhile, until I found a tomato smashed all over the steps.  Of course she had no idea how it happened...it must have rolled off the table.  Then the other two get up and they have been at each other all day...even though they are 3 and 13...not sure which one acts the youngest.  So, when my husband got home from work I sneaked off to clear my head and unwind by making something.  I haven't used my Fancy Favor die for a while so I dusted it off and cut a box in Summer Starfruit and then added an embossed piece of Midnight Muse to the front.  The paper ribbon is made with Comfort Cafe DSP and then I added an ornament below that.  Thanks for stopping by!

Wish Big

Happy Saturday!  Thanks for the emails asking if  I was ok last week, I am ... just tired from Vacation Bible School.  We had an awesome week, with 230 kids and 105 workers.  We had a pool party for them last night and it was such a blessing to see all the families together having fun.

I have a fun project to share today.  A couple weeks ago a friend came in and asked if I would do some birthday party decorations and invitations for her little girl.  I showed her the colors available and she choose Pool Party, Peach Parfait, Lucky Limeade, and Melon Mambo. She didn't want a character birthday theme but said anything else using these colors would work.  So, I set out to find all the things I could use to pull it all together.  I found these cute straws first and knew I could find a use for them.  I have a bunch of other things I found that I will share next week. Now everywhere I go, I am looking for SU colors, is that crazy ??? She is using cupcakes instead of one big cake but I think we can use the banner by inserting the straws into a cupcake on each end of a row of cupcakes.  The other straws will be for the kids to use.  The cupcakes will have individual picks decorated very similar to the straws.   Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Blessings

Good afternoon!  I have another Christmas card as I continue my Christmas in July postings.  This set, Christmas Blessings was another set from the main catalog that was high on my Wish List.  I also knew I wanted to color it in shades of pink so the Be of Good Cheer DSP was perfect.  Thanks for stopping by!

A Little Snow Sounds Good

Ornament Keepsakes

Good morning!  I got my preorder for the holiday Mini so I had had to make something Christmas.  I stamped the ornament in Lucky Limeade and then cut it out with the Holiday Ornament Framelits die.  It is hard to tell in the photo but the oval is actually cut out of the Lucky Limeade panel and the whole panel is on dimensionals.  I used the cut out piece on the inside of the card.  I added a strip if the gorgeous Candlelight Christmas Specialty DSP to the front and on the inside.  The sentiment for the inside is stamped on another ornament shaped die cut.  I love how this card turned out, it is very pretty IRL.  Thanks for stopping by.

Snowflake Wreath

Good evening!  My project for today is the last of the wreaths we did at my wreath class, I know you are probably tired of seeing them.  I do have a few more ideas for wreaths but they will not be completed anytime soon.  I covered the wreath form with a soft yarn that looks like it may be intended for a baby blanket and then added die cut snowflakes.  Each of the bigger snowflakes has a smaller one in the middle which has Dazzling Diamonds on it but is hard to see in the photo. If you click on the photo, you can see the detail a little better.   I finished them off with a Baja Breeze button and tied some retired Baja Breeze ribbon into a bow.  Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Tags

Good afternoon!  I was cleaning out a drawer a few days ago and found some die cut leftovers so I whipped up a bunch of tags.  Very simple design using the DSP Be of Good Cheer.  For the scallop at the top, I had a leftover Scallop Circle so I ran it through the Big Shot with the Two Tags Die.  Now if I can remember to use these when the time comes.  Thanks for stopping by!

Seeing Stars

Good morning, hope you had a wonderful weekend.  I had a full day of stamping with friends in Metropolis on Saturday, can't think of a better way to spend the day.  Today I have another wreath to share with you.  This one was super easy, a few die cut stars glued to a wreath form.  I did wrap the form with ribbon just to hide the white color of it and then added a bow and a few brads.  Thanks for stopping by!

Open Sleigh

Good morning!  It is July so I can "officially" start my Christmas cards.  This is one we made at this weeks Technique Class(we will also make it at next weeks Technique class:) using one of the templates from the Paper Piercing Pack.  The sleigh is from the stamp set Open Sleigh and fits perfectly on one of the Apothecary Accents Framelits.  I also used the Delicate Designs embossing folder for the Very Vanilla piece and the Argyle Folder for the Cherry Cobbler piece.  The DSP is from the Be of Good Cheer collection.  Thanks for stopping by!

ps....We do have room for one more person in the Technique Class #2 group, if you are interested send me an email for the details.

Betsy's Blossoms Birthday

Good evening!  Wow, it has been a hot day, over 100 degrees here.  Luckily today was a fun swimming trip with the kids from our church.  I am always so very careful about applying and reapplying sunscreen on the kids but I missed a few spots on my self today and now I have a sunburn which I am sure is going to be painful by tomorrow.

Today I have a beautiful card made by a fellow demonstrator, Roxanna McCulloch, from Columbus, Ohio.  Roxanna came to my Technique class Monday night and it was such a treat to not only stamp with her but to receive  one of her Convention swaps.  Thanks Roxanna, I really enjoyed your company!

Happy July 4th

Good evening!  Hope you were able to spend time with family today, I got to spend the day with four out of five of my kids today.  My son, Chad, didn't get to come home since he only gets one day off but he is coming for the weekend.  My Shelby doesn't like to have her picture taken and it doesn't help that Sadie loves to pester her about it but I did convince her to let me take a couple today.

I also have a CAS card to share with you today.  Thanks for stopping by!

Your Kindness Means So Much

Good evening!  I have been working at home today to get everything ready for a July 4th celebration with family tomorrow but thought I would sneak away and show you one of the cards we made last night at one of my Technique classes.  Our technique this month was paper piercing which is very hard to see in the photograph but if you click on it you can see it better.  I love the new templates SU gave us for paper piercing.  The DSP is from the Comfort Cafe collection and the card stock colors are Cajun Craze, Soft Suede, and Very Vanilla.  The stamped image is from the Betsy's Blossoms set and the sentiment is part of the From my Heart set.  Thanks for stopping by!

Leftover Spice Cake

Good evening!  Where is time going, it is July already.  Today I am sharing one of the wreaths I made for a wreath class I had on Saturday.  I had a few leftover pieces of Spice Cake DSP so I used it on this one.  I don't know why but there is something relaxing about making the lollies or rosettes, I just score and score and let my mind wander.  Anyway, gotta run, I have a class in a few.  Thanks for stopping by!
