CAS Contempo Christmas

Good afternoon! Today I have another CAS Christmas card. this one uses the stamp set Contempo Christmas with Jolly holiday DSP. I just opened my third pack of this paper, and it is only September so I guess I will have to order more.  The colors are so pretty together, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler.

Just so you know, if you ordered the October Kit from me before September 26 they are on their way.  I spent most of yesterday while the girls were at school getting the kits together and ready to be mailed.  The next round will be mailed on Oct 11.  I also had a huge order for custom  jewelry tags to get ready and they will be mailed today.  Thanks to everyone who ordered.

Old Saint Nick

Good morning and a good morning it has been! The girls got off to school without too much drama this morning which is always good. This is spirit week at their schools since Friday night is Homecoming and today at Sadie's school was crazy hair day. Sadie has beautiful long blond hair and is so particular about her hair so she didn't want anything too crazy, she settled for a bun and some gold glitter hairspray. At Shelby's school it was hippie/tyedye day and with the peace sign craze going on this was easily done as well.

Ok, on to the card, I love all the images from the stamp set Jolly Old Saint Nick from the Holiday Mini but this Santa is my favorite.  I stamped him on Whisper White, colored him, added a strip of Candy Cane Christmas DSP, stamped the sentiment and was done.  A card in less than 10 minutes has to be a record for me.  I usually fuss with the layout longer than that, CAS is the way to go with my busy schedule!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Visit from the Tooth Fairy

Good Monday Morning! hope your weekend was good, ours was busy but good. Saturday was soccer for Sadie and Shelby worked in a Muscular Dystrophy event which meant Toy went in one direction with Shelby and I in another with Sadie. Just as we were getting ready to go out the door to Sadie's soccer game, she pulled another front tooth. So of course I had to ink up the my new Tooth Fairy stamp. I made her a little box from the Matchbox die and put it under her pillow with her quarters from the Tooth Fairy. Now I would show it to you but after she carried it around all weekend(she even took it with her horse back riding yesterday), it is a little worse for the wear and she took it to school this morning. If you have young children or grandchildren, this stamp is a must have, it is only $7.95 and is located on the a la carte(pg. 18) page in the catalog. I decided to make this little treasure bag as well using Pretty in Pink card stock and Candy Cane Christmas DSP.

Here is a photo of her showing off her missing top teeth!

Wicked Halloween

I finally found a few minutes to get something photographed and posted for today! It has been one busy week. Today I have a couple test tube holders, I hate to admit it but when I started my career in a lab almost 100 years ago(actually about 40 years ago!) we washed out the test tubes and reused them.... even the ones used to draw blood. Today that sounds so DANGEROUS! I love these craft test tubes, they are by Martha Stewart and are perfect for Halloween treats. I found this tutorial for making the holders for the test tubes but when I made it, it didn't want to stand up so I revised it a little and this is what I came up. The base is a little wider and stands upright better. I had some similar to these at my craft show this past weekend and they were a hit so I made a few more yesterday. Hope you like them.

Don't forget to about the Special Offer I have going on for anyone who joins my team, more details here.

I have started to cut for this project, make sure you orders yours today!

BAB Birthday

Good afternoon! Today I am sharing a little boy birthday card using the Build a Bear stamp set and the retired BAB DSP. I enjoy coloring images and this little guy is very easy to color. I made a set of six of these to give as a gift to my friend who has triplet boys since they go to a lot of birthday parties. She loves to stamp and scrapbook but hardly has any time to do it anymore but the boys go to pre-school next year so she should be able to get back into then. Thanks for stopping by!

Spooky

Happy Wednesday! I have been working all day at making Halloween projects, this is one of my favorites. It is made using an empty toilet paper roll! So easy, just wrap tissue paper around the outside and secure at one end, fill with candy, tie other end, and add DSP around the outside and embellish. What could be easier plus you are recycling!

Frightful Night

Good afternoon, hope you had a good weekend! I have been busy, busy making stuff for my upcoming craft fair. I don't usually do one this early so I usually don't make Halloween projects. But since I have two craft fairs before Halloween, I decided to make a few. Today's project is a little treat or gift bag made using the Fancy Favor die and adding a handle to it. I have seen lots of these ghosts peeking out from behind pumpkins all over the place, so don't who came up with the idea but I like it. The little ghosts are made by punching out an owl and cutting his feet off(ouch) and turning him upside down. The pumpkins were made using the 1 inch circle and the large oval and then sponging and layering. My box is actually Rich Razzleberry but doesn't show up that way in the photo. The DSP is from Night and Day(retired) and I thought it kinda looked like a starry night. I also have a tag on the side which you can't see in the photo that says "Goblin Greetings". Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday!

Good evening! It seems I can never have too many birthday cards, or at least never have one when I need one. This is one I whipped up really fast for a friend whose birthday slipped up on me. I used the balloon stamp from Party This Way and the string from Crazy for Cupcakes. I stamped the balloons in Versamark on Pacific Point, Real Red, and Old Olive card stock and then embossed them with white embossing powder. The cloud paper is from the paper pad from Sale-a-Bration.

CAS Christmas

Good morning! Today I have a CAS Christmas card that we made at my last SAS. I like all of SU's ribbon but the taffeta's are my favorite and I used the Real Red here. Just to let you know all the Ribbon and Paper Shares have now been shipped, I shipped the last ones yesterday so look for yours soon. A HUGE thank you to all who participated.

My posting may be a sporadic this month, not that I am not stamping everyday and I will eventually get around to showing it all to you...I am preparing for a BIG craft show coming up this month. Last year 45,000 people attended so I want to have plenty to offer. The one I am preparing for now is The Apple Festival which takes place in Murphysboro, Illinois every year so if you live close by come visit me there, mention that you visit my blog, and get a discount on what you buy from me! The dates are September 17, 18, and 19. My daughter is also marching in the parade with the Jr. High band at the festival. This is her first parade and we are so excited for her.

Morning Cup

Hope you having a good long weekend, not much going on here. I do have several craft shows coming up so I am working on those. Today I have a card made with the stamp set Morning Cup. I knew I wanted it when I saw the catalog the first time but didn't ink it up until today. I love the sentiments in the set. I used some of the Build a Bear DSP(retired) for the back ground and then used vibrant colors that kind of reminded me of the once very popular Fiesta dishes.

I also wanted to show you a photo of my darling Dalton, my 14 month old grandson. He and I had a fun day yesterday playing at the park. He will not wear shoes but hates to get his feet dirty, he spent a lot of time dusting the wood chips off his feet. He is so sweet, jabbers constantly but I only recognize an occasional word. The one word that I do recognize every time is Mum-Mum which is what he calls me, I am so lucky to get to spend time with him every day. Isn't he just the cutest baby!!

Witch Way is the Candy?

It's Friday!!!! I know school just started but the morning routine at my house has already taken its toll on me. I don't care how much prep work I do the night before, something always gets us running behind. Today it was my car keys, I looked everywhere for them, found them in a place where I never put them so I think a certain little girl may have had something to do with the disappearance! Anyway we did make it to school just as the bell was ringing.

Today I have a Halloween treat box that I made using the Fancy Favor die and the Fang-tastic stamp set. I used Pumpkin Pie, Perfect Plum, Very Vanilla, and Pear Pizzas card stock and inks. The tag is made using a new punch that is available in the Holiday Mini and the sentiment is from the Grateful Greeting stamp set. The ribbon is also from the Holiday Mini and is a lace trim called Raven.

If you like this little treat bag and would like to order the products to make it or to order from the new Holiday Mini go to my website http://stampthenightaway.stampinup.net to order or send me an email at dls8383@gmail.com and I would be glad to do it for you. Also don't forget to check this post to get a stamp set of your choice absolutely FREE!

Paper Cubed Just Believe

It's September 1 and time for a new challenge over at the PaperCubed(P3) blog. This month we were to make a bookmark. When I saw a tutorial on the Splitcoast site I knew what I wanted to make. I used Marina Mist and Crumb Cake card stock and Elegant Soiree DSP. The stamp set is Just Believe. The border is punched with a MS punch. I really liked how easy this came together. Hope you enjoy it.

Make sure you check out what the rest of the Design Team made and welcome the newest member, the very talented Nancy.

Also wanted to let you know that you can order from the Holiday Mini starting today. Check back tomorrow for details on a HUGE promotion that I will be offering.
