Night in Bethlehem

I have a Christmas card today using the dies that coordinate with the night in Bethlehem stamp set.  I have already decided this will be the card I send out this year, LOVE it!  I cut a sliver of a piece of Merry Music DSP to add below the die cut image of Bethlehem but still felt like I needed a sentiment added as well.  The sentiment is from the stamp set Gentle Peace which is retired.   For those who attend classes, this will be part of the next Christmas card class as well.   Thanks for stopping by!

Seasonal Layers

I can feel Fall in the air and that excites me because I love everything about Fall!  the chair and the leaf are from the Seasonal Layers Thinlets.  the DSP is in the Holiday Catalog and is called Painted Autumn.  I have lots of Fall  birthdays coming up so I will probably make several more of these.

For a Special Couple

I made today's card with some of the cards in the Petal Garden Memories and More Card Pack.  I bought the pack with scrapbooking in mind and I will use most of it for that purpose but I love that I can use some of the pieces for cards as well.  Thanks for stopping by!

Back to School Time!

It's almost back to school time!  I have to admit I am ready to send my sweet munchkins back to school.  I really enjoy them being at home except they are not content just being home, we stay on the go to somewhere... anywhere.  I took them to St. Louis for the weekend and spent way too much money entertaining them and buying back to school supplies and clothes.  I made a few cards to give to the littles for their new teachers, they will be in second grade this year. Shelby will be a college freshmen and Sadie will be in eighth grade, time is flying by too fast.   Thanks for stopping by!

Carols of Christmas

I feel like I am already behind, I have usually started Christmas cards before now but my kids have kept me on the go all Summer.  We are headed out of town this weekend for a short trip and again next weekend and then hopefully some time at  home will happen.  This card was made using the Carols of Christmas suite that is in the new Holiday catalog available soon.  BUT you don't have to wait until the new catalog comes out!!!!  You can order it starting in August!

This is card #2 from our July Spotlight class using the Grown with Love and Garden Grown stamp set and Framelit dies.

Grown with Love

It has been a while since I posted anything because it is Summer and my kiddos think that means go somewhere and do something every day.  I have been able to get a few classes in and this card is from one of them.  I used the Grown with Love stamp set and the matching Garden Grown Framelits.
Off to entertain the kids, I think a movie sounds good since it is so hot outside.

This Little Piggy

This stamp set was close to the top of my list of favorites when the new catalog came out.  I love the cuteness factor but I also like that I have a story to scrapbook about that I can use this set for as well.  I grew up on a farm and we raised lots of different kinds of animals but the pigs were my favorite and after all I was named after a pig.  My parents couldn't decide on a name for me because I was their first and they just knew I was going to be a boy, so they had no girl names picked out.  The doctor finally gave them 10 minutes to decide on something so my dad picked up a magazine in the room and started looking through it.  It just happened to be a farming magazine and there was a cartoon in it about a pig named Sandy, so I was named Sandra Lynn.

Falling Flowers

Today's card is somewhat a CASE of a card I saw on Pinterest but evidently didn't pin it because now I can't find it.  I used the Falling Flowers stamp set and the May flowers Framelit dies.  I think this is the first time I have used this set and I got it when last years annual catalog first came out.  I am going to do better....I have good intentions but somehow don't see them through. I have set a goal to ink up every stamp I have that hasn't seen ink before the end of 2017.  Wish me luck!

Thanks a Latte

I am not much of a coffee drinker, usually one cup in the morning when it is cold outside, but I always purchase any stamps related to coffee.  Coffee is a reminder of my mother, she would have a cup of coffee in her hand from the time she got out of bed until she went back to bed at night.  She used a lot of creamer in hers but never any sweetner. Thanks for stopping by!

I am terrible at taking pictures, this one looks crooked but it really isn't and I am too lazy to take it over so pretend it is straight. I used the Bouquet Bunch dies and stamps for this card.  My husband's great nephew is getting married in a few weeks so I made this for him and his beautiful bride to be.  Thanks for stopping by!

At Home

This card didn't turn out exactly how I planned but anyway...I wanted to add the sleeping puppy from the stamp set Just Sitting Here but really couldn't decide where to put him.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Retirement

I have a sweet friend who I met when I lived in Alabama who is retiring so I made this card for her.  She owns a condo in Gulf Shores and  will be moving there,  This is the last scrap of this DSP I have left, sure wish Stampin'  Up! would keep these favorites around longer than one catalog, I am sure they would be a hit.  Thanks for stopping by!

Weather Together

I am trying to get back in the groove, I feel I am so far behind at home and at my shop.  I did get most of the laundry done this morning, luckily we have a washer and dryer in the condo so I didn't have as much from the trip but since the guys stayed home this trip  I had to do their laundry from two weeks.  I don't have many items from the new catalog yet, just some of the things we got to preorder.  This is the Weather Together stamp set and the Umbrella Weather Framelits.  Thanks for stopping by!

Vacation's Over

Vacation is over and I am exhausted but we had a blast.  The reason for going was to see my Shelby play in the band.  She is the second one from the right in this picture.  They did such a good job!

Ava has to always get a picture in front of the castle.

This was Dalton's favorite part, it is hard to see but there are animals carved into this tree and they have a video projected onto it periodically with animals such as deer and lions that interact.  It was neat during the day but we went back a second time at night and it was amazing.

They loved Disney but after four days of walking so much they were ready to go to the beach.

The big girls really bonded during this trip, they have always been close but Sadie can be the bratty younger sister sometimes.  They are five years apart but Sadie is already taller than Shelby.  The biggest arguments are over clothes, Sadie "borrows" Shelby's clothes without asking and then Shelby sees her wearing them and the fight is on.

I didn't get many pictures of all four of them together.

Daisy Love

Stampin' Up! has announced that the Daisy Punch will be unorderable after tomorrow until they can replenish their stock.  I knew it would be popular when I got to preview the catalog several months ago.  In fact, it was my #1 pick when we were asked to list our top picks.  As soon as it is replenished, it will be orderable again.  Thanks for stopping by!

On Vacation

Good morning from sunny Daytona Beach😊  I thought I should let you know that I haven't quit blogging, just on an extended vacation.  We left Disney yesterday, our high school band did an awesome job leading the Disney Parade.  I was worn out, the little kiddos didn't want to take the time to even sleep. My plan is to be back home and stamping again by the June 19, in the meantime if you need to order you can use the Order online link at the upper right hand corner of my blog.  Thanks for stopping by!

Serene Silhouettes

Today's card is a case of this  card http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2388398.  I smudged mine a little so I added the butterflies to cover it up.  This is a retired set called Serene Silhouettes.  Thanks for stopping by!

Bride to Be

This is the third card we made at this month's bundle class.  I used the retired dress die and added the t-shirt to the top of it to make it look like a blouse and skirt.

Monday, May 15, 2017

I don't know what  it is about tie dyed t-shirts but my kids have always loved making and wearing them.  One my girls was looking through the Occasions catalog and saw the Custom Tee and Tie Died set and told me I had to order it.  It was on my "can live without it list" but that changed so here is what I came up with.  The Groovy is part of  a very old stamp set from 2001 I think but one that I have used a lot for birthday parties so I pulled it out for this card.  On the inside I used another stamp from this set that says "Hippie Birthday.   Love how it turned out.  Thanks for stopping by!

HAPPY Mother's Day

I realized this morning that I only had one Mother's Day card left in my shop so I got busy and made a few of these.  The 'Happy' is a sneak peek from the new annual catalog that goes with the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.  The die actually cuts out Happy Birthday but you can easily trim away the birthday part and add a different sentiment.  I also used another sneak peek, the Glitter Enamel Dots, on the flowers and the lid of the teapot.  Thanks for stopping by!

Delightful Daisy

For today's card I used the gorgeous Delightful Daisy DSP and the Special Reason stamps and dies. Thanks for stopping by!

Daisy Thank You

I love daisies, my sisters and I used to pick them and tie them together to make necklaces  when we were growing up.  We would be entertained all day making daisy necklaces and just lying in the yard looking up at the sky talking about boys.  My kids think entertainment means going somewhere and spending lots of money....what happened??  Anyway today's card is a sneak peek from the new Annual Catalog, the daisy is made from a punch and the DSP is called Delightful Daisy.  The stamp set and punch will be available as a bundle.  A few months ago I had the privilege of viewing the catalog on line and take a survey about the product offerings which I was delighted to do!  This set was my favorite pick and a close second was the Wood Crate which I hope to have time to make soon.  Thanks for stopping by!

It includes DSP, card stock, stickers, stamps, dies, ink,  tassels and more based on which option you choose.

To Have and to Hold

Today I have another wedding invitation sample to show you, these are full cards with the invitation part printed on the inside.  I had made some samples from preprinted templates as well but the girl I am working with wanted a more handmade look so I made up several styles for her.  Thanks for stopping by!

S'more Love

This is another item I am making as part of the wedding ensemble I have been sharing.  The bride and groom are having their house built and are adding a fire pit so they want to have s'mores as part of their reception at their new house.  I made this little tag to add to the s'mores kit.  This stamp was in one of the sets that I ordered when I first became a demonstrator almost 9 years ago.  I have used it many, many times and once again it came in handy.  Thanks for stopping by!

Wedding Samples

Happy Monday to you!  Today I have another wedding invitation sample.  I had to hurry and get the samples photographed because the sweet gal that is getting married was coming to pick them up.  I forgot to take one of this one opened up, it is really pretty.  I put a  layer of vellum underneath the die cut image and the wedding info is typed onto a Pink Pirouette layer.    Thanks for stopping by!

Succulent Garden Suite

I have a Spotlight class once a month and concentrate on one suite of products, this month we used the Succulent Garden Suite and made these three cards,

This one was the simplest.

This one was a little more involved but still CAS.

And the last one was the most detailed and my favorite of the three. Starting next month I am making the Spotlight Class as a Class to Go option  for my long distance customers.  It will be free with the purchase of the Spotlight Stamp Set and Dies or purchased without buying the stamps and dies.  Thanks for stopping by!
