Last Day of SAB

Today is the last day to get a free item from Sale~a~bration!

Watercolor Easter

Today I have another card with the single stamp  Easter Blessing, I am ready to see some real tulips but looks like it may be a while with the crazy weather we have been having.  I used reinkers and a water pen to add color to watercolor paper and then stamped on it after it dried.  The DSP is from Retro Fresh.

My Shelby left for her trip to New York City this morning, she is growing up and I don't like it..this is the first time she has been this far away from me and I have been a mess for a week.  I think Sadie is the one who will miss her the most, she hung out with her all day yesterday and when we dropped her off she cried.
Shelby was annoyed by her little sister but tried not to show it.  They took a bunch of "selfies" and I could hear a lot of laughter coming from upstairs, Shelby sent this one to me this morning.
Thanks for stopping by!

Blessed Easter

Why have I waited so long to give this Watercolor Wonder DSP a try!  It is so pretty but sometimes looking at the whole sheet is so different than looking at a piece that has been cut.  I used the single stamp Easter blessings to stamp the tulips and then just die cut a couple pieces and let the beautiful DSP do the rest, love the outcome.

Another Great Year

Just a reminder only two days left on Sale~a~bration.  Today's card uses a lot of bright colors, Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, and Rich Razzleberry.  The stamp set is from the Occasions catalog and is called Another Great Year.  The little cupcakes are paper pieced with DSP from the Brights Stack.  Thanks for stopping by!

Easter Bunny Treat Cup

Today I have a little bunny made from a paper party cup that will hold lots of sweet treats from THE Easter bunny.  Very quick and easy and cute.

and this little guy sits on a tube filled with Very Vanilla gum balls.  I am going to add a fluffy bunny tail to both of them but I have to get a new hot glue gun first, mine finally died on me.

Thanks for stopping by!

Ninja Turtle Birthday Party

What did we do before Pinterest...it is my go to place when in need of ideas.  I had two request for Ninja Turtle birthday parties in the past two days so I whipped up a few samples.  I found this card here.  I bought these cups(in several colors) thinking I would use them for something, I think they will be perfect for holding a treat for a birthday party.  Check back tomorrow for an Easter project done with the cups as well.

I had a few tubes left over from another party so I added gumballs to them.

I will do these in all of the Ninja Turtle colors and hope my birthday boys like them.  Thanks for stopping by!

Everybunny Treats

I found these little milk bottles at Hobby Lobby, I am always looking for little things to alter and these were perfect size for a little treat.  They come with a hole in the lid so I stuck some pretty straws in and then filled them with jelly beans and Sixlets.  My color scheme came from the candy colors, Pool Party, Pretty in Pink, and Lucky Limeade.  The stamp set is Everybunny.

I think my kiddos will enjoy getting these from the Easter bunny!

Starburst Sayings

This is one of the cards we made at a class earlier this month.  The Polka Dot Parade DSP was punched out with the Petite Pennants Builder punch.  We used the Starburst Sayings stamp set  and the matching framelit dies.  Thanks for stopping by!

Rant alert...sometimes it just helps to get it off your chest!

I usually  plan one to two  months ahead knowing that sometimes things just don't work out according to plan but this month is one for the record books.  Shelby has a trip to NYC planned in 5 days from now.  On Friday we were told that a student ID may not work for boarding the plane so I went to DMV  on Saturday to get her an ID made.  We walked into a room full of people waiting to be seen and two people working plus if anyone came in just to renew license plates they didn't have to wait so that put one person trying to see that room full of people.  We patiently waited(maybe not real patiently) for our turn to be told we had to have a list of things to prove identity one being a SS card.  I knew exactly where to find that so rushed home to find it only to find that it wasn't to be found.  So...Monday I go to the SS office and get my list of things required to get a replacement SS card and then go back and get it ordered.  Now...we wait for it to come in the regular mail(no matter how much I pleaded, it could not be sent expedited mail no matter if I paid for it).  So what happens if it doesn't come in time!!!!  I may have to drive her to New York, no not really but she is going to be a very disappointed little girl.

Happy Birthday, Jamie!

This is the card I sent my nephew Jamie, who is a Rock Star!  Jamie turns 30 tomorrow and was born with Down's Syndrome.  He loves music, any kind of music, and he has almost every musical instrument that is made.  His dad built him a little house beside his to serve as his music room and he rocks the rafters!

I don't get to see him very often because he lives so far away from me but I love this little man with all my heart and thank God for him.  Thanks for stopping by!

Yay, You

Today I have a graduation card, I like to make my graduation cards in the school colors of the graduate.  Since there are three schools in our county that all have purple as one of their colors, Elegant Eggplant covers them all.  Here is the inside of the card.

I used the stamp set Pomp and Circumstance from the Occasions Mini catalog.  Thanks for stopping by!

A Tisket, A Tasket

Have you seen all the baskets popping up all over the blogs and Pinterest?  I love them!  This one is made with a tutorial from Frenchie(France Martin), a very talented SU demonstrator and has to be my favorite.  It is made with a full sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 card stock.

And here is another one done in reverse colors.  These end up being about 5 inches wide and about 3 inches deep not counting the handle.  They will hold a lot but I recommend using a lot of filler and some small treats so as not to break the handles.

and this little cutie...it is only 2 3/4 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches deep.  This is basically the same concept as the first basket just on a smaller scale. I did see this idea on a blog but they didn't give credit to the person who came up with it so  I am not sure who to credit with this one.  Thanks for stopping by!

Eggstra Spectacular

Don't you just love little bunnies, we have a bunny family that has lived in our back yard for several years.  We see new babies every Spring and the kids get so excited.  Last year on Easter one of the bunnies made an appearance as we were hunting eggs and you can imagine the excitement this caused. I have been seeing these little baskets all around Pinterest so I gave it a try.  Really simple, yet adorable.  It is big enough to hold a couple plastic eggs and  a few candy eggs as well.  The stamp set I used is from the Occasions Mini catalog and is called Eggstra Spectacular.

Happy Easter

I am so ready for Spring!  The sunshine was a welcome site this morning, but when I stepped outside the cold air said not yet.  I made a few of these little coffee totes for my craft show, the ones with this DSP were the favorites.  The little bunny is from a retired hostess set called Picnic Parade.  Thanks for stopping by!

Pot o' Gold

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!  I made a similar card a couple weeks ago with an owl.  I had some rainbows left over so made this card with the pot of gold.  I usually don't do much other than wear green for St. Patrick's Day but this year I have had requests for favors.

These sold out early at my craft show.  I found these gumballs at Walmart and they fit perfectly in the 1x8 cellophane bags.

These were a hit as well, I came home with one.  Thanks for stopping by!

Easter Blessings

I am off to a craft show today and it was hard to decide what to make since Easter is still about a month away but I couldn't resist making a few little bunnies.  I had a hard time photographing this one, it seemed to disappear with a white background and got lost in some of the others I tried.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Sweet Friend

Look what I got in the mail yesterday, my friend Sherrie from Alabama sent me this cute Daisy die set.  Well actually I think it is a sunflower but she knows that the daisy is my favorite flowers and I would see it as a daisy.  She found it at a yard sale which is her favorite hobby,  she also sent me two more die sets but they are Christmas sets.  So, I had to make her a card to say thank you.  But I couldn't just send a card so I made this cute box to match the card.  I found the directions for this box here.

I added a daisy to the top. And  one more photo of the card and the treat.

Thank you so much Sherrie, I miss you!

Regarding Dahlias

Regarding Dahlias is one of my favorite sets in the catalog, I sure hope it stays around when the new catalog comes out.  This card was made using the Split Negative technique.  It is hard to tell but the the top half is embossed in silver on black and the bottom is black embossed on Brushed Silver.  I didn't put a sentiment on yet but I think I will use it for a wedding or anniversary card.

Get Well Wishes

Hope you had a relaxing weekend, we did...nothing on the kids schedule but staying at home and catching up on laundry.  One of Shelby's friends mother is dealing with cancer right now and it has been very hard on Shelby, she doesn't know how or what to say to her so she asked me to make a card.  She thinks she can write down her feelings a whole lot easier than she can say them.  I feel so bad for Shelby and her friend, they were both scheduled to go to NYC over Spring Break but now her friend has decided not to go.  Shelby is still going but it won't be the same without her best friend.

Stamps:  Happy Day, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink:  Calypso Coral, Pool Party
Paper:  Calypso Coral, Whisper White card stock; Sweet Sorbet DSP
Accessories:  Banner Punch, Pool Party ribbon, Calypso coral Bakers Twine, Pool Party Candy dot,Circle Framelit die

Open Sea Birthday

Here's a less than five minutes masculine birthday card that we made at our Stamp a Stack today.  I haven't bought the Hello, Sailor stamp set nor the Striped Grosgrain ribbon yet but I think this retired  Basic Gray Grosgrain worked pretty good with the High Tide DSP.  Thanks for stopping by!

Hooray for Today

I was singing this sentiment this morning only I added "school" in there, my kids went back to school today after missing three more days due to snow.  I love having them home with me but they get so bored and then they start fussing with each other and complaining and they are constantly eating.  It is different when they are out for the Summer because it is easier to entertain them.  Anyway...here is my card for today...this one is for our Stamp a Stack this week.

Details:
Stamps:  Geometrical
Ink:  Bermuda Bay, Strawberry Slush, Crushed Curry
Paper:  Basic Black, Whisper White card stock, Kaleidoscope DSP
Accessories:  Triangle Punch

Rainbows and Clouds

Today I have a St. Patrick's Day card.  I love how the rainbow turned out using the Circle Framelit dies.  I used the circles since I wanted to keep the rainbow fairly small but I think I will make one using the Ovals and it should actually look more like a rainbow.  Thanks for stopping by!

Make a Wish

I have been dealing with a nasty ear infection(I haven't had one this bad since childhood),  so my cards have been rather simple.  This is another one from our Perfect Pennants class.  Thanks for stopping by!
