Cutie Pie TeePee

A very sweet lady came by my shop for the first time this week and loved everything in it but she settled on something for her grandson's birthday party.  She ordered 20 Teepees for the party favors. I had never made a teepee before but I love how it turned out. This is the front and I used the door from Sweet Home dies.

I decorated all four sides using different dies.

This is the back side.  I used the Cutie Pie die for the teepee.  What do you think, does it look like a teepee?  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.  Thanks for stopping by!

Oh, the Places You Will go

I found these Dr. Seuss erasers at Target when we were doing back to school shopping and bought a few packs.  The hat was cased from Pinterest.  I will use these at craft shows this fall, I try to have things that will  appeal to all age groups.  I used the new 2x8 clear bags from the annual catalog to put them in.

I found these as well but they won't fit the 2x8 bags but I found some bags in my stash that would work.  Thanks for stopping by!

Flourishing Phrases

I needed a special card for a special person and this is what I came up with. I used the Flourishing Phrases and matching Flourish Thinlet dies.  The DSP is the retired Bohemian but you could substitute whatever you have.  Thanks for stopping by!

Jar of Candy Love

These little treats were very popular a few years ago when we had a jar die so I decided to make a few for craft shows using the Jar of Love stamps and dies.  I have added a couple new craft shows to my Fall lineup so I have been working hard to have enough for all of them.  Thanks for stopping by!

Santa Train

When I saw this stamp in the holiday catalog, it reminded me of an ongoing tradition in Appalachia, the Appalachia Santa train.  It was started in 1943 and is still going.  It was started by a merchant from Kingsport Tennessee who wanted to give back to all his customers as well as to the needy in Kentucky, Virginia, and Tennessee. The train is loaded with food, clothing and toys and Santa throws the items from the train.  I grew up in this area but didn't live close enough to the train route to ever go but have seen footage on TV of people lined up for miles waiting for the train to come through.  I have a scrapbook started about my childhood and about the Appalachian area so I will be using this stamp in that for sure.  Here is a link to an article about the Appalachian Santa Train if you are interested.  Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Fall

There was a Fall crispness to the air this morning and it made me very happy because Fall is my favorite time of the year.  So, I made a Fall card using the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamps and the Halloween Scenes Edgelits Dies from the Holiday Catalog.

Actually I made two versions, this one with just a different color palette.  I think I like the first one best but what do you think?  Leave me a comment about which one you like best and I will draw for a winner  on Saturday and mail it you.  thanks for stopping by!

Just a Note

Today I have a punch project which I  cased from Jackie Topa.  I didn't achieve a happy smile but didn't want to start over so just kept it.  I used Moroccan  DSP along with Dapper Denim, Cajun Craze, and Delightful Dijon.  My kiddos started back to school today and I am not sure who was more excited, them or me.

Here is my Dalton boy.  I have pictures of the girls but forgot my camera at home, I took this one with my phone.  I will share the girls pictures tomorrow.  Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas Pines

For today's card I used the stamp set Christmas Pines and the matching Pretty Pines Thinlet dies.  Aren't  the pine branches pretty.  We have a lot of huge pine trees in our yard as well as Holly bushes and every year at Christmas some of the ladies from our church come and cut some for decorating for our annual Christmas church supper.  I love the pine cones and use them in some of my decorating but can't use the pine branches because some of my kiddos have allergies.  Thanks for stopping by!

Hello there, baby bear!

A friend asked me to make her some cards for the twins her niece is expecting soon.  I have seen this little bear made with the fox builder punch all over Pinterest so I decided to give it a try.  Then I remember a retired stamp set that I have hung on to with this cute sentiment which is perfect for this card.  This same sentiment is in the Bear Hugs stamp set which is current but when I stamped them both I liked the retired one best.  And the best part about the babies being twins, she is having a girl and a boy!  So, I had to make a boy version as well.  Thanks for stopping by!

Merriest Wishes

This stamp set, Merriest Wishes and coordinating die set, Merry Gift Framelits were intended to make tags but I love that it can also be used for cards.  I also made some tags but haven't got them photographed yet.  Thanks for stopping by!

Home Sweet Home

Today I have another Gingerbread House to share but not a 3-D version.  The Sweet Home stamp set has stamps that make a house but I decided to use the dies instead.  The little gingerbread boy peeping out of the door as well as the peppermint candy  are cut from the Candy Cane Lane DSP.

I got a lot of questions after I posted the house on Saturday mainly about how I constructed the roof so here are a few details and photos.

My card stock measures 3 1/2 x 2 1/8 and scored in the middle of the long side.

I put the top together as designed and put mini Velcro dots on both sides of the box(tip...put your Velcro dots together and stick down and then align roof with box and push on one side at a time).  Make sure to let your Velcro sit for a few hours so that it is stuck good before opening.  Hope this helps, if any further questions you can email me at dls8383@gmail.com

And here is a video I thought you might enjoy.  Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Home

Aren't these adorable, this has to be my favorite from the Holiday catalog.  I made a few of these for upcoming craft shows.  I changed the roof design up a little, I made a roof that opens and you don't have to tear the box up to get the treat inside.  I used Velcro dots to hold it on.  Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Thoughtful Branches

Today I have a CAS Christmas card made with the tree from Thoughtful Branches collection. This is actually a case from the Holiday catalog changed up a little.  I have got all the kids registered for school which has not been easy, they were all on different days plus the fact that my husband has been out of town all week.  I guess I didn't realize how much he helps out with the kiddos especially with Ava and Dalton, I don't like to swim at all so if they are swimming I am sitting under the patio umbrella but still feeling the heat.  When he lets them swim, he actually gets in the water and plays with them.  Today I got Shelby registered....and of course had me a big cry....she is a Senior this year.  I don't know where time has gone, seems like only a few years ago, I was registering her for kindergarten.

So Grateful For You

Can you tell that I really love the Thoughtful Branches stamp set, I still have a few more cards made to show you but they may wait since I got my Holiday Catalog preorder yesterday.  I thought the leaves that came with this set were a bit oversized so I used a framelit from another set to make these.  This was really a quick and easy card to make with mostly die cutting.  Thanks for stopping by!

Thoughtful Branches Thank You

Today I have another card made with the stamp set, Thoughtful Branches.  Sorry if you are tired of this stamp set...it is just so pretty and can be for so many occasions.  I love hydrangeas and had a pretty one but my husband cut it down, he hates to mow around my flowers and is always "accidently" cutting things down.  I added Wink of Stella to the top Pink Pirouette layer but it is hard to see in the photograph.  Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of You Thoughtful Branches

You may get tired of seeing this stamp set, thoughtful branches, before I am tired of using it.  Like I said earlier, it is very versatile, this time for a thinking of you card.  If it is something you think you want, remember it is only available while supply lasts for the month of August and then it will be gone.  thanks for stopping by!

Thoughtful Branches

Today I have one of the cards that we will do at the Thoughtful Branches class.  This stamp set is very versatile and it also has a set of matching dies.  I love the simplicity of this tree image, it looks good by itself or embellished.  Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Popcorn Treat

My internet has been down following a storm a couple days ago and the repairman finally got it going again.  Today I have a cute popcorn box treat holder which I will be making in mass quantities for craft shows.  The stamps are retired but I don't think my customers will mind.  thanks for stopping by!

Naughty or Nice

More Christmas items for craft show time, I know it seems early but if I don't start now I tend to run out of time.  I actually made some of these last year and they sold out quick so I am going to make a lot more for this years shows.  I love the tag for this one, I know two littles named Dalton and Ava who will have naughty marked on theirs. Thanks for stopping by!

Snow Place

Good Monday morning!  I am in full craft show prep mode this week,  my first one isn't until September but it has a way of sneaking up on me.  This little guy is easy to make and holds one chocolate nugget so I will plan on making at least 100 of these.

I built a little open box to hold the candy and it is sandwiched between two snowmen.  The one at the back is plain except for his hat.  Thanks for stopping by!
