He is Risen

I think this little lamb is adorable but I didn't like the sentiment because the word Easter was all in lower case letters and for me  that is just a word that should be capitalized.  So. I cut it off and used this sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes instead.  For the inside I used an empty cross because He is Risen!  Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Easter

Love how this card turned out...I have been seeing several versions of this on Pinterest but not sure the originator is.  The soft colors of Easter are my favorite.  I just realized that Easter is early this year just 10 day after St. Patrick's day so I am going to have to get busy.  Thanks for stopping by!

Let's Party

The mom of the little girl who is having a Princess party came by this morning and decided what she wanted for favors and invitations.  I had bought some Disney princess stamps for scrapbook pages and she really liked them so the invitation will use the Sleeping Beauty and the favors will have the dress.  She needed a box big enough to hold nail polish, nail stickers, EOS lip gloss and of course sweets so I made one up to show her and everything fit perfectly.  I hang on to most of my  retired dies just because I do a lot of parties, weddings, showers, ect and they have come in handy several times.  The pinks look like two different colors but they are both done in Blushing Bride, must just be how the camera caught it.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Princess

I booked a Princess Party over the weekend and couldn't wait to get started on it this morning.  This is going to be the invitation except the sentiment will be replaced with "you're invited".  I am also going to use it for my Punch class this week.  The Princess part of the sentiment comes from a retired set called Perfect Princess and the happy birthday is from Teeny Tiny wishes.  I used the retired dress framelit and cut out three and layered them together.  The sash is cut with the Chevron Border punch and the top of the dress is punched with the Festive Flower Builder Punch.

Loads of Love

Do you hang on to or buy stamp sets for sentimental reasons ....I sure do.  I bought this stamp set, Loads of Love after my dad passed away in 2004 just because of the truck image.  He had a truck once just like this and in some crazy way when I ink this stamp up and color it I feel comforted by it.  Anyway...thanks for stopping by!

Love You, Papa Bear

I had such a busy Valentine season that I have just now got to ink up some of the new sets from the Occasions catalog.  I think this set is one that I will use a lot especially for masculine cards.   My favorite sentiment from the set is the "Love you, Papa Bear".  When Sadie was little my husband read to her every night and her favorite story was the Three Bears.  She started to call him "Papa Bear" and herself  "baby bear".  I showed her this card yesterday and told her about calling dad "Papa Bear" and she loved it and wants to give it to him for Fathers Day.  Thanks for stopping by!

Cups and Kettle

This month's Occasion's class is all about Get Well and Thinking of You cards.  For this card I used one of the cups from the Cups and Kettle Framelit dies along with  Birthday Bouquet DSP.  Thanks for stopping by!

Be Mine

I was looking for a Valentine treat for my kiddos to give to their Sunday School teachers and found this idea here.

I already had several boxes of Conversation Hearts left over from school projects so this was just perfect.

I wrapped the boxes in retired DSP and added the tag, I made 9 for Sunday School and a few more to use as favors for my Bible Journaling class tomorrow.  Thanks for stopping by!

It's a Boy!

I have another baby shower project to share today, this one for a boy.  It hadn't been but about 30 minutes since the other one was picked up when another person walked in my shop and wanted me to do her baby shower.  It is going to be a onesie shower so of course we had to put a onesie on the tags that will attach to the favors.  She wanted some bold colors and the baby boys initial on it.  I pulled out some retired papers and she chose these.

I have them all ready for the ribbon.  Thanks for stopping by!

Nugget Valentine Treat

My friend Sharon asked me to make a Valentine treat for  the residents of an assisted living facility and this is what  I made. For most of them I used part of a leftover kit but also used some retired DSP.

I made 25 red ones and 25 pink  ones.  They hold two  Hershey's chocolate nuggets which I wrapped with DSP.

And an inside view.

Want to make some for yourself.....here's some simple instructions.  Cut your card stock to 2in x 81/4 inches and then using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, punch both ends.  Next you will score(very important that you punch before scoring) at 3 1/4 and 4 3/4. Decorate the front,  I cut my paper for the front at 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 .  Fold your score lines and tie the top together, add your nuggets(I used glue dots to hold them in place) and you are done.  Thanks for stopping by!

All God's Grace

I am working on a baby shower for a customer who wanted a lamb theme.  The sentiment is in Pink Pirouette and didn't photograph very well but it says "thank Heaven for little girls" and is from the retired set, Cuddles and Kisses.

On the inside I stamped the Easter Lamb and a sentiment from All God's Grace that says "All of God's Grace in One Tiny Face".

This will be the table favors, I made this some time ago and have used it for several baby showers.  This one is attached to a Fancy Favor box and my customer wants a smaller version made  which I am still working on.

Thanks for stopping by!

Update on Dalton
I have had several emails about my Dalton boy and his injured eye.  It has been very painful for him, we went to the eye doctor yesterday and she said the scratch is big but the eye heals fast.  We got numbing drops for the pain and he has to wear sunglasses for a week.  We also went to the school since it wan't handled properly when it happened.  This is the third incident  with this same child so I am wondering if it was accidental.  Another thing that bothered me was that it happened at 10:00 am and he went to the nurses station and she put drops in his eye but didn't call us and when we looked at some of the video from later in the day he was holding his eye and crying.  I know  the school staff have a tough job but I didn't like how this was handled.  Sorry for the Momma Bear rant!

Hey, Valentine

This card should be Dalton's Valentine this year but I think he would probably tear it up if I gave it to him....he got poked in the eye yesterday at school and got a nasty scratch to his eye so he is having to keep his eye covered for a few days to allow it to heal.  It took three of us to hold him down at the doctors office yesterday.  All we accomplished was getting the medicine in and a quick look to see the scratch.  After the doctor was finished examining him he offered me a job, he said he needed someone that was good at handling kids.  I actually worked for a Pediatrician for six year but as busy as I am at this stage of my life, I don't think a "real" job is in my future.  Anyway, I thought this little pirate might cheer Dalton up today...but not so much...he is still grumpy!

Oh, Whale

I have decided to try to use up some of the enormous stack of retired DSP that I have accumulated.  Most of my card customers don't stamp at all and don't care if the paper is no longer available.  This little whale was very popular a couple years ago and the sentiment is adorable as well.  Thanks for stopping by.
