Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!  I don't have a Halloween project to share today but I do have a Fall project.  I have made a bunch of these mostly because they are so quick and easy to make.  I used the Square Pillow Box die and the Vintage Leaves die.  Thanks for stopping by!

Pumpkin Favors

I try to send a little something to my kids teachers to show appreciation throughout the year especially at holidays.  Halloween is hard to decide what to send since so many people have gone away from celebrating it.  So, I went with a Fall theme this year.  This is what Shelby chose, it is made with the Pillow box die and I put Hershey Nuggets inside.  Thanks for stopping by!

Fall Thank You

I got a message from a fellow stamper last week that she liked one of my cards and was going to CASE it and feature it on her blog(Me, My Stamps, and I).  Her name is Chat and I have admired her work for years.  So, I checked out what she came up with and decided to CASE her version!  The relationships we build through stamps is the best part of it and is the main reason I do it.  You can check out Chat's blog here .  Thanks for stopping by!

A Little Something

Still working on craft show goodies, I have a lot more ideas but time is running out.  These coffee cup totes have been popular the last two years so i am hoping they will be this year as well.

Here is a view of just the coffee cup, sorry for the fuzziness of the photo.  I had a little helper who snapped a few pictures while I had my back turned.  I would show you the photos Dalton took but they were of his feet, the ceiling, and one of me that was frightening.  When I finally chased him down and got my camera back, I forgot to check the settings before I resumed taking photos.  Thanks for stopping by!

Vintage Leaves Birthday

I am feeling a little anxious about my craft shows the first two weekends in November, I still have a long list of what I want to accomplish.  I did an inventory of what I have yesterday and realized how few Fall birthday cards I have so I made a few.  I try to use up some of my retired product for my craft show so you will be seeing a lot of it during the next few posts.  For this card, I used Vintage Leaves(current) and the matching dies along with some retired DSP.  Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful Season

I really enjoy birds, in fact I took an Ornithology  class in college and it turned out to be my favorite class.  I feed them year round and have seen some interesting  species showing up at the feeders lately.  We also have several fruit trees and holly trees in our yard and the birds enjoy them as well.  For this card I used the Beautiful Season(retired) stamp set and a piece of  Home for Christmas DSP.  Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas

I love this card if the poinsettia was a die instead of a punch, this would be the card i send out for Christmas.  I don't think my hands would be able to mass produce 75 of these which is the number of cards I sent out last year.  I found this pretty DSP in my retired stash and love how it turned out.  Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Cuties #2

I showed you Ava yesterday and today I have Dalton! Those two are so much fun, there is never a dull moment.  They get along and even play together most days but look out when they are at odds with each other.  Ava is five and Dalton is six and the other day I heard Dalton tell Ava that he was older so he always got to play first on the video games.  Just as I was about to correct him, I heard my husband say,  "You are older, but ladies go first"  I love it when he corrects them and I don't have to always do it!  Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Cuties

Love this stamp set!  Not only does it give me a reason to color but it is so cute.  This little angel reminds me of Ava with the blond hair so I will make three of these for her to give to her Sunday School teachers.  Thanks for stopping by!

Cutie Pies

I made a few different pie boxes for my upcoming craft shows.

I usually get several custom orders from craft shows so I wanted to have samples of different occasions.

I always enjoy making baby items.

I can always use new ideas for weddings.

You have to have pumpkin pie for Fall. Thanks for stopping by!

Pumpkin Patch Fun

I went on a field trip with Dalton's class today to the Pumpkin Patch, it was fun to see him with his school friends.  This photo was just before going on a hayride.

Here they are coming back, I didn't go because hayrides get my allergies going.

Dalton really enjoyed the corn pits.  They had large pits of corn kernels that would hold 5-6 kids and they all loved playing in it.

They got to pick out a pumpkin to take home and this took longer than any of the other activities, they had to find the perfect pumpkin.  I really enjoyed this special day with Dalton and I get to go back next week with Ava's class.

Santa's On His Way

I have been working on craft shows the past week and one thing that always sells good is tags.  I made several of each version.

The snowman in this one is retired but is one of my favorites.  The sentiments are from Snow Place.

We have had the best long weekend....the kids have gotten along for the most part!   We went to the Homecoming parade on Thursday and then Sadie was in another parade on Saturday.  I took the littles to a fair on Saturday as well.  They love fair food....string french fries, funnel cakes, lemon shake up, fried oreos....and they ate their little tummies full.  When we were on the way home Dalton asked,  "when do we get another unhealthy day?''.  When I asked what he meant,  he said a day when we get to eat unhealthy!  I had made an appointment to get their pictures made but the photographer didn't show up so I made a few myself.  Couldn't have been more fun except Shelby didn't get in the pictures,.

Miss Ava, being all serious.

Dalton finally cooperating.

Beautiful Sadie, always smiling!

Sadie is so good with the two littles, she can get them to do a lot more than I can.  Wish I had some of Shelby, maybe i will catch her in a better mood soon.  I guess now that she is 17, she doesn't want to hang out with us as much.  Love my kiddos!

Let it Snow

Love these little snowmen from the stamp set Snow Place especially the baby one.  We have lots going on this weekend since the kids are out of school and it is Football homecoming week.  Yesterday was the homecoming parade and was the first time Shelby and Sadie got to march in the same parade.  Shelby is in the high school band and Sadie is in the middle school band.  There are 107 kids in Sadie's band!

Shelby loves band, mostly for all the friends she has made.  They are a really close group of kids and the band has won every competition they have been in except for one second place in the past three years.

This was Sadie's first parade with the band and I have never seen her more excited.  She really looks up to Shelby and wants to do everything she does which irritates Shelby.  I love my girls!

Last Sunday School Class Before Heaven

Up until about a year ago, I taught  a Sunday School for 4 year olds but gave it up when my knees wouldn't allow me to get on the floor with them anymore.  I hadn't been to an adult SS class in over 14 years and at our church the classes are divided up by age so I went to the one I thought was for my age group.  But the class I should of been in had moved to another area and the classroom was now occupied by the "over eighty" group or "the last class before Heaven" ladies as it is fondly referred to.  Rather than just shutting the door and moving on, I sat down and joined them thinking I could always go to the "right" class next week.  How wrong could was I!  Those beautiful ladies immediately melted my heart and I knew I was already in the right class, they have so much to give and so much to teach me, this will be my last class before Heaven!

I got a real surprise for my birthday a few weeks ago.  This card was made by a special lady in my Sunday School class.  It is hand drawn and then water colored.  I knew that she was an artist and did painting but had never seen her work.  I truly love this kind and gentle lady and can't believe how active she is at her age, she will be 96 on Saturday!  Now, I have got to come up with a card for her but feel like anything I do won't even compare to her work.  She also surprised me by coming to see me at my shop yesterday, she doesn't drive anymore but got someone to bring her and we enjoyed some time together.

Grateful for You

Do you have leftovers, extras, and projects you have started and never finished.....I have tons of them.  Sometimes I will start something and get distracted and not finish it so it ends up in a drawer.  I have decided since I am working on Fall craft shows to pull those out and refurbish them.  This little fry box was made last year but it got a facelift with new products.  Thanks for stopping by!

Snow Place

The Snow Place stamp set and matching dies are my favorite from the Holiday catalog.  There is even a die to cut out the tiny bow tie for the penguin!  This years Holiday catalog is the best we have had, I will be broke if I order everything i want from it!

Vintage Leaves

\

I really like the Vintage Leaves and matching Framelit dies from the annual catalog.  The Corrugated Paper is perfect for adding texture to the leaves or as a layer.  We have six Fall birthdays in our family so I made several of these.  Thanks for stopping by!

Thankful

I love to put leftover pieces together to make something fresh out of them.  The canvas banner is left over from an SU kit that I can't remember the name of, the little heart is a leftover  from a Project Life Accessory pack, the leaves were leftover from another card, and the Linen Thread was found on the floor when I vacuumed.  The only part not a leftover piece is the DSP which is from the Winter Wonderland Specialty pack and it is actually gold although it photographs more of a green color.  I used the Square Pillow die to cut the box out.  Thanks for stopping by!

Home for Christmas

Today I have a Christmas card to share.  I think the Home for Christmas DSP is the prettiest papers we have had in a long time.  Usually there is usually one or two designs that I don't care for but in this pack they are all lovely.  The stamps I used are from the Cozy Christmas set.
