Happy Anniversary

Good morning!  Today I have the second card from my Occasions class.  This one is very simple and easy to put together unlike the one from yesterday.  I think my ladies from yesterday and last night thought I made it a bit hard but they liked the outcome.  This one is an anniversary card but could be used for  wedding, birthday, or thinking of you.  The stamp set I used for the sentiment comes from Teen Tiny Wishes, if you don't have this set it is a good one to invest in.  It contains 24 sentiments that cover about anything you are looking for.  I also like that they all fit into the Large Oval punch.  I have had people come in to buy cards and say they wish a certain card was for birthday...I can easily stamp Happy Birthday punch it out and layer it over whatever was originally there.  I  used the Blossom punch for the flower, it is a stack of three with dimensional between the layers and each flower is embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots folder.  The scallop is made with the Tasteful Trim die.  Thanks for stopping by!

Forever and Always

Good evening!  Another busy day in the neighborhood...today was All Occasions class for March.  We did Wedding and Anniversary this time.  This card was inspired by one I saw on Amazing Paper Grace, of course I changed it up to use Stampin' Up products.  I love how this turned out, it was a bit of work but so worth the effort.  We stamped the En Francais background on Very Vanilla card stock with Crumb Cake ink.  the cut it into sections and sponged with Crumb Cake ink and put the sections back together.  The other card stock color is Pretty in pink and the DSP is from a retired Simply Scrap booking set. Thanks for stopping by!

Wedding Banner

Good morning!   Today I have a banner to show you.  This one is for a wedding I am working on and is really easy to make.  I have a die for the wedding dress which is actually for a dress box but if you cut the paper to just fit over the dress part it works to put it on banners, invitations, ect.  For the tux I just cut a rectangle and cut down about an inch at the top and folded it back.  The shirt part is actually a heart cut with the Heart of Hearts embosslit.  The bow tie is made from the Small heart punch.  I added bling with pearls and rhinestones.  The dress is embossed and the ribbon is Pretty in Pink satin.

If you would like to order a banner in your wedding colors or if you need other wedding related items, contact me at dls8383@gmail.com for pricing.   I also offer my local customers the choice of me making their wedding items or them using my tools and making their own.  The photo below is of the invitations being made by a sweet girl,  Ashley.  She, her mom, and some of her friends have been coming in and working on them when they have time.

Flip Flop Time

Good afternoon!  I wanted to repost this project that I made a couple years ago, here is a link to the original post.  I have had the most visits to my blog about these than any other project I have done as well as selling at least 6 of the dies.  I made the daisy embellishments with the Daisy #2 die. I used foam for these but I have made some with felt and  with fabric which turned out very cute as well.  The foam ends up being rather thick with the layers so you will need a long brad to fasten them together( there isn't enough room on the flip flop to put the brad through it so you will have to glue it to the shoe  either hot glue or cement glue works best).  I also cut out a circle of  foam and adhere it underneath to keep the brad from rubbing the foot and to give more room for gluing.  My Sadie is very rough on shoes and they held up to her wear and tear but the foam did get dirty mainly because she loves to run on the play ground so all her shoes are dirty when she comes home from school.  Hope this helps, let me know if you have further questions.  Let me know if you make them and how they turn out.  I recently had someone tell me they made them for an outdoor Summer wedding for the bridesmaids and they here a huge hit!

Grunge Rock

good afternoon!  Today I have a birthday card I made for my nephew who I told you about in the previous post.  I used Night of Navy, Cajun Craze, and Very Vanilla card stock.  The DSP is from Well Worn.  I think he will love it because of the guitar, he has a real one and loves to play it along with his Hank Williams, Jr CD's.

Funny Bunnies

Good morning!  Today I have a bouquet of bunnies...these are part of a special order I finished up yesterday.  I used the Wide Oval, Large Oval, Small Oval, 2 in. Circle, Owl(eyes and nose), and 1/2 inch Circle punches.  The whiskers were made by cutting slivers of Crumb Cake card stock. They were a little time consuming but easy to make.  I used Skittles to fill the 1x8 bags since they are going to classmates at school and we wanted to avoid peanut allergies.  Thanks for stopping by!

3/21

Good afternoon!  Today I want to celebrate a VERY special guy in my life.  Today is 3/21 Day which is an acronym for Trisomy 21 also known as Downs Syndrome.  This is my nephew Jamie who has Downs.  He is going to turn 29 years old on March 25.  He is a huge blessing to everyone who knows him.  When I go to visit him in Kentucky, we usually go shopping and everybody we meet has to stop and talk to him.  I think he knows every person in Cumberland and what kind of vehicle they drive(which he insists on telling me!).  If you would like to help him celebrate his birthday, you can send him a card at Jamie Bush, P.O> box 17, Cumberland,Ky 40823.  He loves Nascar and country music.

edited to add....this was supposed to post yesterday, not sure why it didn't.

Summer Smooches

Good morning, it has been a beautiful Spring morning here.  I sat outside and ate my breakfast this morning and the birds were singing and the bunnies in my yard were running and having fun not to mention the flowers blooming everywhere.  My card today is a Sneak Peek at two new products available very soon.  the DSP is gorgeous and is called Summer Smooches.  The stamp set is Bright Blossoms.  Sorry my photo is a little out of focus, I think a certain little one has done a bit of adjusting for me.  Thanks for stopping by!

Wisteria Wonder-ful

Good afternoon!  Today I have a cute little Easter project.  I love Wisteria Wonder for an Easter color .  The bunny is from the set Every bunny.  My girls are out of school today so I am keeping my post short but I do want to remind those who order treats regularly that the cutoff for Easter treats will be March 31 for mail outs and April 6 for pick up.  Thanks for stopping by!

you crack me up

Good Monday morning!  Busy weekend at my house, I had a punch class on Saturday then we were off to a band competition in which my Shelby got a First Place for her flute solo.  Then it was a hurried trip home and pick up Dalton for the weekend.  On Sunday morning my husband decided to go feed the horses before church so they could ride as soon as church was over.  When he got to the farm, one of the horses was very sick.  Poor Dolly is just very old so they decided to put her down, my girls don't know yet, we are waiting until tonight to tell them since they are out of school tomorrow.

Onto a brighter subject, I just love this little chick from a retired set called A Good Egg.  I saw a similar card on Pinterest using different stamps and different papers.  I used Domestic Goddess DSP, Pool Party ribbon, and a Twiterpated button.  Not sure what the name of the design for the paper piecing is, I have stacks of retired papers I am trying to use up.

Don't forget SAB ends on March 31!

Love and Caring

Good morning!  Today I have a card I made some time ago but forgot to post.  I used the Triple Treat Flower which is a single stamp that coordinates with the 5 Petal Flower Punch.  It is embossed but hard to see in the photo. This stamp is FREE until March 31st with a $50.00 order from either current catalog.  Thanks for stopping by.

Congratulations

Good evening!  It has been a super busy day with doctors appointments for myself and my Shelby.  It never fails, they are always behind and we sit in the waiting room for a couple hours but then when we get in to see the doctor the fire alarms go off so we have to evacuate the building.  It sure makes for a long day.

I do have a project to share, a very simple design that went together really quick.  Not sure if this stamp is a retired a la ca rte  stamp or if it came in a set because I found it just lying in my shelf and not in a case.   The paper is from the Celebrations DSP along with Bashful Blue, Pacific Point, and Whisper White card stock.  Thanks for stopping by!

Spring is in the Air!

Good morning!  I am so thrilled with the Spring weather we are having.  Yesterday was a beautiful day and the sun is out again this morning, all is good.  I have another project using the Blossom punch today(click on the photo to enlarge it).  I love to make these banners with the Petal Cone die and this one got lots of attention at The Pink Event this past weekend.  I now have orders for three  like this plus I am doing a whole wedding including a few banners.  I used papers from the DSP  from the  Paper Stacks and cut the letters with the Timeless Type sizzlits.  I strung all the pieces on Baker's Twine.  Thanks for stopping by!

Live in the Sunshine

Good Monday morning!  After all the sadness around after the tornado, I am looking for sunshine.  I think this card is definitely sunshiney(probably not a word). I used my new favorite Blossom punch, you will be seeing several more projects done with it this week.  The yellow and the green DSP is from the Patterned Packs and the red is retired.  The sentiment is from Pursuit of Happiness.  Don't forget SAB ends in 19 days.  Thanks for stopping by.

Sending Springtime Smiles

Good afternoon, it's Friday!  Today I have a bouquet of flowers for you.  These are so cute IRL but I couldn't get a very good photo. I used the 1x8 cellophane bags for the M's(Dalton's word for M&M's)  and the Blossom punch to make the flower.  I have used this punch on a lot of projects lately which I will be sharing in the next couple weeks.  The card stock colors are Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Wisteria Wonder, Pretty in Pink, and Lucky Limeade which just so happen to match the Easter M's.  The little banner tag on each one says "sending Springtime smiles".  Thanks for stopping by!

Everyday Enchantment

Good afternoon!  I love the DSP  from SAB, it is so pretty and it is FREE which makes it even better.  Don't forget that SAB ends soon so if you haven't got all the items you want let me know. I will be placing an order every Friday for the rest of March.  Today I have  magnetic bookmarks. I made them using the Two Tag die, very quick and easy.  I will have them for sale at my booth for the Pink Event this weekend.  Thanks for stopping by!

Big Top Birthday

Good afternoon!  Today I have a 3-D project using Big Top Birthday DSP, I have not used this pretty paper near enough.  My girls are invited to a lot of birthday parties, it is not unusual to go to 2-3 parties a weekend, so I made a few treat boxes to have on hand.  For this one I used the Box #2 die and Tempting Turquoise card stock.  These little boxes are perfect for filling with a few pieces of candy, cash,  jewelry, lip gloss, nail polish,  or small toys.   Thanks for stopping by.

Some of you have asked how you can help out the tornado victims here in Harrisburg, I think the most beneficial way right now would be to make donations to the American Red Cross.  I worked for ARC when we lived in Alabama as a Quality Control Manager in their Blood Banks and I can attest to what an awesome job they do in that area as well as their Disaster Relief.

Diagonal Score Tool

Good morning!   Today I have a very simple card which highlights a new tool that is available now.  It is an accessory to the Simply Scored tool which can be used for scoring diagonally.  It is perfect for making envelopes and boxes as well as adding scored patterns to a card or scrapbook page.  Here I have used it to create the 3x3 envelope on the front of my card.  The small 3x3 beside the card is to fit inside the envelope.  The Simply Scored diagonal accessory fits right over the Simply Scored tool and is scored every 1/8 inch.  It only cost $11.95 and is available for order now.

Faith, Love, Hope

Good morning!  As many of you know our town was hit by a deadly tornado last week.  First let me say a huge thank you to all the people who have responded in such a loving way through comments here on my blog and to the many, many emails from around the world.  My inbox has been full everyday and the love through words and prayers has been overwhelming.

Through all this, God has moved in amazing ways and the healing has already started.
I searched through my stamps  yesterday to find a sentiment that would sum up how I feel and this one certainly is close, "Keep your faith in beautiful things, in the sun when it is hidden, in the spring when it is gone".    My Faith is in the fact that God is alive and  has shown up in Harrisburg, the Love that has been shown is powerful, and there is Hope that we will be overcome this and be changed forever.  Again, thank you and God bless you for all your thoughts and prayers.
