This is my first challenge as part of the design team for the Paper Cubed(P3) Challenge Blog. It was to make a Shadow Box and I decided to go with a CAS design. Since I am doing bedroom makeovers for the girls, I decided to make something they could use in their rooms. Shelby has a bird theme going on so this is for her. I used the Large Bird Punch, punched the wing out in So Saffron and black so that I could make it into a finch. Now my degree in college was Biology and my favorite class was Ornithology(study of birds) so I have had a lot of time watching birds and identifying them for class. I love this punch and hope to find time soon to make a few more species.
Here is a closeup of the bird on a branch and he is on the second of the three layers to the shadow box.
Here is a close up of Momma Bird in the nest with her eggs and she is on the first layer of the shadow box as is the fence.

How gorgeous are those sweet little birds. What an incredible job you've done creating the nest and the landscape. Just amazing.
This came out lovely. The dark edging and the light paper works well together.
Sandy, this is so cute! I love the little eggs in the nest! I like the clean and simple way you did this, keeps our eyes focused on the birds. Lovely!
Love those eggs, they are the perfect final touch to this project.
